Dr Martinez was my doctor for several years. But I believe he's gotten lazy or just doesn't care. I went to his PA for coughing and feeling horrible. She gave me Azithromiacin and took a chest xray. She told me he would see the results and contact me. The next day I saw the xray came back PNEUMONIA, BOTH LOWER LOBES. I assumed Dr Martinez would call me because I wasn't doing any better. I left a message, and I couldn't get a response from him.But a young, under qualified "assistant " i told me to let them know in three days if I didn't feel any better. Lucky for me, I knew something was terribly wrong, and then so we went immediately to the ER. The PNEUMONIA had set off SEVERE AFIB. My heart rate was 180 bpm for FIVE DAYS! EIGHT PEOPLE we're waiting on me in the ar trying to and they were working out those deep make sure I didn't die. Not ONE WORD from a Martinez!! I ended up with TWO CARDIOVERSIONS & have to wear a cardiovest for THREE MONTHS! I'm taking MANY DRUGS to let's try and keep my heart at a proper rhythm. I NOW HAVE HEART DAMAGE! Overall, I think Dr Martinez has gotten arrogant. He and his wife are involved in real estate investments. Maybe he should just skip being a doctor before someone not as lucky as me, DIES! read more

Dr. Martinez is amazing. He convinced me to quit smoking and has been there for me through multiple health issues. I have to see a rheumatologist that is not very good. Martinez makes up for it by making sure I'm OK and helping me get PT. He has never argued with me or appeared not to listen. He has been very supportive and helpful. read more

Today was my first visit with Dr Martinez, after switching from that other Dr., you know Yim. This Doctor is like a breath of fresh air, what Doctors use to be like, caring, friendly, enthusiastic about your health, takes his time, what a difference from that other Doctor, you know, Yim.. You've seen my review on that other Dr, you know, Yim. I didn't feel rushed, I went in with a shoulder issue, he did some strength test, was taken to the X-ray room, then he sent me next door to a therapist to work on my shoulder, such a great place. I felt like I won the lotto with Dr Martinez, great person, great Dr, great all around caring person , I will certainly update you. I'm even scheduled for a full physical in three months, something that other Dr, you know, Yim didn't know anything about. If you want great attention and care, and if he's taking more patients, go see him, you will be pleasantly surprised, there are still Doctors who care, but to confess, I-was starting to lose hope till now. read more

I rarely change doctors but felt compelled after visiting Dr Martinez only 3 times. I disagree stongly with the other reviews here and think he is a terrible listener. Impossible to have a two-way conversation. I found him to be rude and argumentative. I asked for a cardio referral and he scolded me. I offered my opinion about my condition and he scolded, "I'm the doctor, let me do my job" After several other similar incidents I decided it was time to move on. OK staff read more

I love Dr. Martinez . He listen to everything you have to say without interpreting you! You can tell he cares for his patients very much. He is compassionate, helpful, and doesn't make you feel like you're bothering him like most doctors do. I'm long-winded and talk quite a bit and he never lose his patience with me. Dr. Ryan Martinez is amazing. He took his time to cover all aspects of my health in one appointment from my asthma and diet to my orthopedic concerns. He was very personable and he gave me referrals including nutrition, colonoscopy and he also gave me my flu shot. The staff at TMC one are great. I highly recommend!!! I selected Dr. Martinez as my new primary care physician recently. I am a teaching physician and knew Dr. Martinez during his recent Internal Medicine residency training. I went to see Dr. Martinez yesterday for a symptom that could indicate several different causes. Dr. Martinez asked very good questions and was curious and insightful. I met with Dr Martinez this week to establish care. My provider retired after being cared by her for 10 years. I had a thyroidectomy several years ago and require my thyroid levels to be monitored. Dr. Martinez was great, he was professional, and answered all my questions. Great bedside care. I walked out with no concerns or questions regarding my health. He explained everything. I've had 2 appointments with Dr. Martinez and was having a bad reaction to a new sleeping medication he prescribed for me. I called his office twice and was told that he would return my call within the day, but that didn't happen. I called back and was told it would be first thing in the morning as he needed to do some research before he returned my call. Still no return call. I called a third time late that morning and was transferred to the doctor who was quite angry with me that I had not scheduled an appointment to see him. I tried to explain that his staff had not suggested it, but he kept passing the responsibility back to me. He said he was new to this office which I took to mean that he was unfamiliar with the way the office is run, but I was a brand new patient who knew even less about it than he did. Immediately after that call, a staff person called me and told me that they typically return calls within 24 to 72 hours, which is completely unacceptable. I wrote a letter to the doctor but have not heard back from him or his office, after two weeks. read more
