Called to inquire about selling my home, left a message with a receptionist and never received a call back.

I am writing to highly recommend the Gordon Team Realty to any investor looking to build or expand…read moretheir real estate portfolio. My husband and I recently worked with William Gordon to acquire a rental property in Bakersfield, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. William pointed out structural details and neighborhood trends that we could have missed. He was always a text or call away, regardless of the hour. WIlliam never pressured us to make an offer and instead focused on finding the right "fit." When we finally found the right property, his negotiation skills ensured we got the house at a fair price despite several competing offers. The entire team kept the closing process seamless and organized. If you want an agent who treats your investment as if it were their own, look no further than the Gordon Team Realty. We always knew exactly where things stood, and any question we had was answered quickly and clearly. Their marketing strategy was next level. Professional, targeted, and incredibly effective. Because of their expertise, our home received multiple offers in less than two weeks and sold faster than I ever expected. If you're looking for a team that combines skill, strategy, and genuine customer care, We couldn't recommend the Gordon Team more highly. Their experience truly made all the difference! I started looking for a property manager when I found out I was being relocated by my job. I knew I…read morewould be leaving for a couple of years but would eventually move back to Bakersfield so I knew I wanted to keep my home and rent it out if it made sense. I checked out a few managers but really got hooked with RPM Bakersfield, and I am so glad I chose them! My initial call I was greeted promptly by their sales agent who was happy to help me with my situation. She walked me the process over the phone and their usual steps of bringing on a new client. She ran a property evaluation that gave me an idea of what I could expect for my home to rent. We agreed it would work out the way I wanted with renting versus selling since I really wanted to keep my home. I really liked that their tenant selection process is very thorough. Since I want to move back when I'm able I'd really like for my home to stay in as good of condition as possible. They were quick to get my home rented out and I appreciated that it looked like my home was listed on every site I could find so I knew they were doing their best to get it visible. Through it all I found the staff helpful and knowledgable and very capable of helping my navigate the busy world of landlord and tenancy! I feel confident leaving the management of my home in RPM's hands while I'm away! I'll miss my home but I won't miss the heat!

Despite leaving my apartment in excellent condition and even paying for professional carpet…read morecleaning, over $1,500 was deducted from my security deposit for "cleaning services and carpet cleaning." I documented the unit with videos before moving out. When I returned the keys, management told me they would reach out if they needed the carpet cleaning receipt. Instead, weeks later they told the owner that no cleaning had been done -- without ever contacting me for proof. When I followed up, they stalled, first saying repairs were being contracted out and they "weren't sure yet." Eventually, I received an invoice from a company called "De la O Janitorial Services." This company does not exist -- there is no business license, no record in state databases, and the invoice lists only a P.O. Box. When I requested proof of payment, management was unable to provide any evidence that this supposed contractor was paid. This experience feels misleading and raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of their billing practices. Tenants should be very cautious and document everything thoroughly if renting from this company.

Our HOA has had Pacific Management - Unity Management. I have no idea why our board fired Unity…read moreManagement and went with Frontier Real Estate Service, but the work at Frontier RES is shoddy. Frontier RES's accounting is bad. Clients might want to watch out for fraud or embezzlement. My online portal says I owe DOUBLE the amount for my monthly HOA dues. Wrong! Good thing I have the cancelled checks to prove it. Also, Frontier RES does not respond to emails in a timely manner. It takes at least two emails and by the second one, if you write to everyone you have an email address for from the top down, then you may get a response. Judging from the other One Star comments on Yelp for this funny business, I can see I am not alone! Geesh, what a cut-rate bunch of losers.

*Terrible Service* I…read morefeel bad doing this -- I think I've done maybe three reviews ever, and the other two were 5 stars. I want to start off by saying that Cheyenne Schmierer has been nothing but kind and very professional. All the praise goes to her. I'm sure she doesn't enjoy receiving complaints when it's not her doing. Brookdale Estates in Ridgecrest, CA is basically a retirement community (aside from a few residents who aren't of that age). My wife and I have owned a rental property there since 2016, and one of the main things that caught our eye was the well-manicured grounds. Truly, aside from a few places locally, Brookdale Estates has--or rather, had--the nicest landscaping around. The grass was always immaculate, the trees trimmed perfectly, and the leaves and trash were always taken care of. To top it off, the entire community was always managed in-house -- it never needed an outside brokerage firm stepping in. But things happen: people move, pass on, whatever it may be. Life happens. Then along came Frontier Real Estate Services, who took over in April of this year. In just six short months, the place has become almost unrecognizable. Sadly, not in a good way -- it looks terrible. They got rid of the one constant there, our yard service, Alex, who was also the best around. I've heard different things as to why they had to switch, but that's not my place. I'll just say that Ridgecrest has lawn-care companies on every corner and they can't even manage that??!! Still, no one was going to care for it like Alex did -- that's a fact. When I was told, "We are working to address that concern," it told me they don't have things together. That was two weeks ago, and still, nothing has changed. I genuinely feel bad for Cheyenne, but I let her know that I won't be paying my HOA fee until things get turned around. She explained the ramifications, etc., etc. I'm aware -- but honestly, I don't care. I think everyone there should do the same. It's not just the yard that's become an issue, but that's the one thing I care most about right now. I told Cheyenne this: I would much rather pay the $185 HOA fee -- but what's the point if they can't even take care of their end? Seriously, it's the least they can do.
