I was in an area I know nothing about and surrounded by repair shops that could easily take me as a dumb female (because cars, yeah I am) and take advantage. I explained my situation to the amazing tow truck driver that picked me up and told him to take me to a place he knows/trusts as I had no clue where to go. Once on the road the driver advised he was going to try 1 shop before taking me to the most common shop in the area. Once arrived he spoke to "Darren" who was busy working on another vehicle and explained how important it was for me to be on the road ASAP. Darren had him back my Jeep right into the service bay, did test to confirm repair and advised he could get part from supplier delivered then job done in about an hour (compared to 3-5 hours I later found out repair time would take). Darren was VERY fair with the overall total and was really concerned about getting me on the road. Delivery made, repair done and entire length of time at the shop - less than an hour and a half!! Now that I know of this bad ass shop I would never consider using another! Darren, he's an angel!

Therefore, I agreed to assist even though I live a long way away. . Ryne set up a time for the estimate and got to it immediately when we arrived. He wrote out the initial work plan and set a date taking into account the time required to order the parts. I explained that I would be returning to the area for a short time specifically to drop off and pick up the car. While my timeline was shorter than they originally estimated the work would take, they were understanding and accommodated my need. Additionally, they worked with the insurance company even though ours wasn't one they often partner with. Though the price was negotiated a bit by the adjuster, the initial quote was a fair price in my opinion. A couple weeks later I returned to drop off the car. While working on it they saw that it needed a couple more parts than initially outlined. They got the parts in fast and completed the job very quickly. Ryne was great to work with and so were the two other people who work in the office. One took receipt of the vehicle and was very efficient so I could get on my way. The other checked me out when I picked up the car. She explained everything very clearly. Overall, the experience was superior to visits to other body shops (in another city) that I've made with my own vehicle over the years. Will definitely return to this shop if my relative ever needs more work on the car.

Looking for a reliable mechanic in Johnson City?…read more When my daughter's car broke down in Johnson City, we took it to a chain repair shop, which estimated a lot of repairs at a high cost. Suspecting they were taking advantage of her, we consulted Tommy, our trusted mechanic in Knoxville, who confirmed our doubts. Although we managed to retrieve the car, my daughter still paid a lot for almost nothing. This time - when her car stopped running again - we found Brian. He quickly fixed the car and charged us a fair (and low) cost (based on Tommy's estimation). He was also accommodating, accepting the car after hours, and is someone we trust to not take advantage of those who don't know much about cars. Overall, Brian is a great mechanic who we highly recommend.
