Not good. Bought a part and the next day went back to return the part and they would not return the part. Amazon was half the price and I have never had a problem with a return. Do not go here for any service. They charged me$600 for nothing. My battery ran down while there waiting for service they charged me $328 for a new battery when I am sure the other battery was covered under warranty. They had my RV for 6 months on and off. Never fix the refrigerator or hot water. They lied saying they were waiting on parts. 5 star RV came to my home and fixed the refer in 15 min. I got screwed don't you too. My friends took their RV to get an electric awning put on they ripped off the old ones and which was perfectly good and put on another pull out of $3,000. read more

We took our Class C RV in for the slide out to be repaired. it was there for 6 weeks with terrible customer service, no call backs, lack of information regarding repairs or parts on order. We decided to pick our RV up without the repairs being done because of the bad service. When we picked it up there were parts missing and the inside framework was left on the floor and not put back together. We found oarts strewn about the floor and they had the audacity to charge us $800!!! Not to be trusted!! Came back worse than when it went in! read more

Well, here we go again. 2nd review... First off, we bought a 2021 Forest River fifth wheel back in October 2021. Within two weeks, our cable to the electricity box caught on fire. If we had not been home, our RV and parent's home beside the camper would have burned. Next, within a few days of our purchase, our master toilet had clogged. We used only RV toilet paper....we contacted Crowder and they told us it might be the septic tank we were hooked into. We had it pumped, but that did not fix the problem. During attempted use of the toilet after pumping, sewage spewed up into the sink and shower and spewed out the back of the RV several times. We persisted that Crowder come get the RV and check it out. Even though the contract that we signed says we have to bring the RV to them, we felt that since we had issues within a few days of buying, Crowder should come to us. Also, with it only being a 2021 camper. After much persistence and a bad review, Crowder came. Crowder cut out a piece of clogged plumbing and told us it was the toilet paper we were using. We used the correct paper from the start and knew this was not going to solve the problem. Crowder then asked us to put up a review that they fixed it. We did. But, within the next three days, the toilet clogged again. Crowder had us take pictures of the black tank and they sent it to Forest River; then it was discovered the black tank was on backward. Crowder had to come back and get the RV again and replace it with a new black tank. This took about three weeks. Crowder says they went above and beyond when they came to get our RV, three times. First off, they had to come get it that many times because of a misdiagnosis on their part. If our RV had not had a second-half bathroom, we would not have been able to stay in it. This has been a very big inconvenience! So far, that issue is resolved. However, as soon as we hooked the RV back up the heating unit would not work. It's wintertime now. We called an RV repair company to come to take a look. They could not find the problem onsite and had to take the heating unit into their shop. They took it apart and found a huge hole burnt inside the unit. The man said in his 15 yrs' experience that, he had never seen that before. Our warranty paid part, and the manufacturer replaced the heating unit, and the repair man reinstalled it. But it cost us $300. He then informed us that the 20-21 RVs were hodge-podge together because during Covid, supplies were short, and the manufacturers used whatever they could get. He also informed us that the hose was leaking gas and carbon monoxide and our monoxide detector never went off!!! Therefore, it was defective. We feel we could have lost our lives, and with all the issues we have had with this RV, we do not feel we can sell it, rent it or live in it with good conscience. We have asked Crowder and Forest River to either take the unit back at no money lost to us or put it on Crowders' lot and resell the unit. So far, Crowder has responded with. You have a warranty. Get the problems fixed as they come about, and enjoy your RV. There is no enjoyment here, it has been one issue after another and we don't want to deal with any other issues that may arise. Or put anyone else through what we have been through. Crowder did not respond to our request to sell the unit on their lot. Forest River continues to say their warranty is not transferable to a second owner. My husband and I purchased a 2008 Flagstaff 5th wheel from Crowder RV Center in Johnson City, TN. When looking at this camper, I stressed my BIGGEST concern was water leaks to our salesman, Jayme. There was NEVER any mention of prior water damage...EVER. On our 3rd camping trip, my husband slid something into the front storage space, and the vinyl flooring tore. Under that vinyl was my biggest nightmare. The floor was not only WET, but it was completely ROTTEN, and filled with BLACK MOLD which we unknowingly had been subjected to breathing into our lungs. It had been this way for so long, that the aluminum braces were disintegrating into powder. We tore the flooring out, and took the camper back to Crowder RV. We spoke to Jeff Crowder. He looked at the photos, and then looked at the camper itself. He agreed that the damage had been there for a long time. He also admitted that when they got the camper in on their lot, that it had a water damaged kitchen floor that they "repaired". He offered to fix the storage compartment, and absorb 1/2 of the cost to repair it as a goodwill gesture, being that the camper was sold, "as is". This was an additional $700+ which we paid. After getting the camper back home, I began to remove the living/dining area carpet. It was then that I discovered the "repair" that they did to the kitchen area floor. There was a piece of plywood, with a thin sheet of luan laid down on TOP of the damaged floor, and new hardwood flooring on top of that. Thus, covering up the damage as I suspected. At this time, I sent Jeff Crowder an email, and told him that I felt it was a cover up. At which point, he told me I was mistaken, and that my words were "hurtful". This lead me to have the hardwood flooring taken up at the site of the "repair". Again, my worst nightmare. The floor UNDER their cover up was also rotten, stunk to high heaven, and FULL of black mold. There is NO possible way that THIS was an "oversight". After sending Mr. Crowder photos to prove that I WASN'T mistaken about their cover up, I received no further emails from him. We removed the floor completely in the kitchen, which required removing the sink/stove cabinet. Again...rotten, moldy floor under that as well. Basically, the ENTIRE floor has MAJOR water damage, and rotting black mold. Covering up a severely water damaged camper and selling it to unsuspecting buyers does NOT fit the description of being a faith based, ethical business with morals. We would have WALKED AWAY from buying this nightmare from the beginning, had anyone chose to be honest about the prior water damage. THAT they chose to keep undisclosed, until AFTER the purchase. We now have a severely damaged camper that we can't use...that we can't afford to fix, and we still have 4 1/2 years to pay on it. I brought my King Tailgater Satellite to be repaired by the Crowder Service Department. I had already opened the dome which is only five screws to discover a broken part of a gear. I told the young female service desk clerk that there was a broken piece of a gear and I just left in it there. She told me the service guys could check it out. I was not contacted for 21 days. Finally, I just dropped by and the same female service clerk apologized that she did not contact me. Then she told me there's a broken gear and King does not send them parts to fix satellites. Remember, I told her there was a piece of a broken gear in there. I was then charged $77.00 for 30 minutes of a $150/hour labor charge. Again, it took me 3 minutes to open it up and find the broken piece. I questioned the charge. She got agitated and defended the charge. Obviously, when you are one of a few RV/satellite retailers in an area you can have whatever ethics you want. I would be wary using this retailer for anything. read more

We have an older 30Ft fifth wheel RV. The roof was resealed at a different facility a couple of years ago. When we were camping a few weeks ago we noticed a leak around one of the air vents. As soon as we got home on Friday afternoon, we called Crowder and asked if they could take a look at it. We were given an estimate of $300 to $600 depending on what they found and how long it would take. I was called Monday morning and told that it was worse than expected. The vents had been sealed to the RV roof which should not have been done. They wanted to make sure we wanted them to proceed with the work. Late Monday they called and said it was ready. I told them we would get it Tuesday. Tuesday morning I received a call that they were not happy with how it looked and they wanted to see what they could do to make it better and give it time to dry. Even though they spent over 7 hours working on it, used over seven tubes of sealer and had to replace two max-air vents, an effort was made to reduce the charge. Mark and Jerry went out of their way to keep us informed of the cost and the work done. We were very pleased with the service. It has remained dry even with the recent heavy rain. We searched several places in the Tri-Cities area and found Crowder to be the most honest and dependable business for our new RV. My husband and I just bought a used travel trailer from Crowder RV Center. We searched several RV dealers in the area and found Crowder to be the best. They have a very good selection of new and used units. Also, the staff are very courteous and helpful, and do not "bird-dog" you while you are looking. We have purchased RV's in the past (in another state) and I have to say this was by far the best experience. The staff treat you like family. Jonathan was our salesman and was a pleasure to work with. He was very helpful in answering our questions. Thanks again Jonathan! I am extremely dissatisfied with the service here. I would think that paying $90,000 for a vehicle to travel across the United States in would come with a little more competence. My husband and I bought our Mercedes RV here and have been extremely dissatisfied since. It took them almost 3 months to get a cushion in and then it took them another three months to get my refrigerator fixed. We are now headed out west after they fixed the refrigerator and we had to stop at Mercedes dealership to get the check engine light fixed where they ran my battery down three times fixing the fridge. Now the aftermarket stereo that they installed into the dashboard to accommodate the cameras on the RV has been turning on and off by itself as if it were possessed. If it were up to me I would not buy from this place one way or the other. And did I mention they did not even initiate the warranty until nine months after I had my RV? My husband and I were in Knoxville awaiting for the vehicle to be fixed from where they drained the battery and we found out then that the warranty had not been put in place. At that time it took them three hours to initiate the warranty so that I could get my Mercedes RV fixed. If you ask me, that's a little ridiculous. No recommendations here folks. I purchased a 30' Hideout TT in Oct. 2017 with a 30 day warranty. When we first looked at the trailer it was in a row where the awning could not be opened ! When we came back 2 days later, the most disgusting awning was open to see. For some unbelievable reason they must have thought I was going to accept it. I refused and they replaced it. Approx. 4 days later I came back to get the trailer due to a camping res. We went the next day and set up. That night the temp was in the low 30's and we had no heat. The furnace would not operate, we went to Walmart and bought a heater. When we were done camping 3 days later, I took the trailer back to Crowder immediately. After calling 2 days later, I was told I was all set. Got home, tried furnace, did not work ! Took it back and left it for 6 days and asked them to try it over that period of time, was told it was all set. Stupid me came, without checking it and brought it back home. Still didn't work! Brought it back and found bad motor. Those trips were 1 hour 1 way ! I then told them the vent knob on the bathroom vent was broken in half. Was told they need to order. I have called at least 4 times on that $4 item, I asked if they would mail it. Never heard nothing ! Needless to say, I am extremely upset with their customer relations, which by the way, I never ever received a call from anyone, including Lloyd whom I think was my salesperson !
