I contacted Rv Tech Mobile service for a roof leak. The service was completed on November 1st. The tech stated, that the roof would need additional repairs. Tech stated that an estimate would be forwarded for review. After a week, I called Jay for a status of the estimate, I was informed, that it would be a few more days. It has now exceeded 6 weeks w/o my estimate. The owner states this is a Veteran owned business. I would not do this to another Veteran. read more

Jay Jones started out as a very responsive person. He repaired our RV's side wall where we had a blowout and did a nice job. My husband was impressed with his workmanship but not necessarily his responsiveness. However, he had him check out a few things that needed attention. As my husband suspected, the roof and rubber gaskets needed to be replaced. Last April 2023, Jay was paid $780.00 to replace the rubber gaskets and in June 2023, he was paid $1,917.44. to begin replacing the roof. As of today, March 7, 2024, these two items have yet to be replaced. Jay has been contacted several times over the last few months by my husband. He is either non-responsive OR when he does respond, he has an excuse why he can not get it done. In the last month, I have attempted to get Jay to contact me 3 different times and I haven't heard a word. At this point, I believe we have been scammed and will take action accordingly. Answered Prayer: Our son is 5 hours away, staying in our RV and the heater quit working overnight. Eventually, he lost power throughout the entire RV. With a hard freeze on the way, I called around in panic, hoping to get someone that could help repair the issue. Jay answered our call, and very methodically and patiently walked us and our son through troubleshooting and resolving the issue. He explained actions to take, along with proper safety precautions, giving thorough and detailed explanation of the issue. He helped us understand (likely) why the issue happened and he helped us understand the solution. In the first week of our 3-month RV journey we suddenly found ourselves without electricity to the outlets in our motorhome. I suppose we could survive without a TV, microwave or coffeemaker, but it just wouldn't be much fun. Enter Jay Johnson and RV Tech Mobile Services. I called Jay who was recommended by the staff at the park where we were staying, fully expecting to leave a voicemail since it was Saturday. But Jay picked up and I explained our issue. He promised to have a tech at our rig that afternoon. Our electrical problem turned out to be difficult to diagnose but Jay and his crew were persistent. It took a couple of days to find the problem and make the repair but in the end, they got the job done! They are busy and spread a little thin, so it helps to be patient. In our travels we've been fortunate enough to find a handful of good mobile RV techs around the country and RV Tech Mobile Services ranks high on our list. Yes I had all my documentation and his bank gave me my money back due to their "work". And BTW on his rant below, he still doesn't get it cause he was never out here. The mouse was IN THE GARAGE UNDER THE FREEZER, not in the house under the refrigerator!!!! This idiot would have torn out my bedroom walls if I hadn't insisted the smell was in the garage. I even asked his mechanic if he looked under the freezer after my neighbor told him it smelled rotten not like sewage!! I have a 2019 Grand Design Momentum RV I started smelling a foul smell in my bedroom which is directly over my garage May 20th. I investigated, cleaned walls, floor etc with Lysol wipes. The next day it was back. I contacted my RV dealer McClains in Corinth, TX and they couldn't get me in right away and the smell was making me sick. They said I could call another location so I called the one in Sanger. They couldn't get me in either so he gave me the number for Mobile Tech Services Jay Jones as he is the owner. I talked to him May 29th and he sent someone out for the next day. He stated I would get a text when they got there, when they got the key out of the propane area, before they went into my house, when they knew what the problem was and when they left. May 30th Mobile Tech company man JT came out for 35 minutes to see if he could tell me why I had a horrible smell in my garage. He sent me a text saying he was here. I got home while he was here. He couldn't find any smells underneath my RV and I told him it was in the garage. I opened the garage and he smelled it. He left. This cost me 225.00. Jay text me and said he would have to get approval from Grand Design to work on it under warranty. He also said they would have to tear up the walls in my bedroom. I told him again the smell was coming from my garage. He was supposed do it the next day but I'm still waiting and smelling it on June 4th. I contact Grand Design "GD"and McClains both myself on June 4th. I talk to the service guy at GD , Mark Arpin and he's bending over backwards to get this taken care of. I've now done mobile tech job and got everything approved. I also told him what GD thought it was, again that the smell was coming from the garage and they needed to start there. Jay is out of town in his RV so this is going back and forth. They finally set up repair for the 8th but I'm pretty worried about the cost of all this and their competence but McClains guy said he's used them a couple times over the last year. Ok. I'm looking and posting on Facebook GD page and send them were the 'offending ' device so I don't pay for 2-5 hours and him tearing my inside walls apart. So JT comes after I've text him and waited an hour after he was supposed to be here for him to reply that he's there. They try and charge me 861 including that hour that they said he was here but I don't know that. They should have followed through with texting me if he really was there at 11:13 and not at 12:15. Anyway he tore my garage apart looking for the smell. He didn't come prepared, had to go get staples for his gun to put the walls back together, went to store. Of course I'm paying for that time as well. Who doesn't come to a job prepared? All on my dime. Then he said he couldn't smell it this time around. My neighbor came over and could smell it and said it didn't smell like sewage but something rotten. I don't know the difference. I asked JT if he looked under the freezer. He said he had. He's in there tearing my garage apart but admits he can't smell it this time. How do you fix something if you aren't smelling it. At this point he might as well leave. June 9th he sends me a revised text saying I have mildew in the walls and they need to come back out and remove the walls. It's not mildew. I know the difference in that smell as I'm allergic to mold and mildew. I go out to the garage June 9th and take everything out of my freezer and throw it away. Then I move the freezer out of the garage. In the process of moving it down the ramp I find the mouse that was dead and rotting under it. I use Lysol and clean the freezer, the garage floor, the walls in the garage and the headboard and area in my bedroom where the smell was coming in at. The smell is gone and I no longer have any Oder in the garage or bedroom. This guy wasn't here, his tech can't smell the offensive oder but now they want to come back out and tear my RV apart because they now say it's mold!!!! They didn't know what they were doing, they wasted time, didn't find the issues even when I asked him if he checked under the freezer and then they tried to bill me extra time. He never once asked about something dying in my RV but again all they wanted to was tear up my bedroom walls. It was coming from the garage!!!! I don't generally write reviews, but after the service that I received from RV Tech Mobiles service, I was compelled to write about my experience. I was in a bad situation during the holidays with my RV not functioning enough to Make the 3 hour trip back home. I was desperate to find a solution before going back to work. All the mobile services that I called was closed during the holiday and through the weekend. I left messages at every local mobile service in my location. I had all but given up when brad called me back. He was going to come the next day maybe before going to church with his family. He walked me through a few trouble shooting procedures that I was able to preform on my own to prevent the the cost on the mobile service. The fixes worked and I had no problems getting back on the road. He could have easily charged me for the service and I wouldn't have been none the wiser. Jay and his son and crew arrive on time, diagnose your RV's problem and work with your insurance company to help resolve warranty replacement as needed. Our water heater went out and Jay walked through testing the unit to find out that the gas unit was burning yellow {not good: think carbon monoxide leaking into your trailer}, and that the anodizing rod was basically a thread {should be around 1" thick}. He picked up new parts and came out two days later to replace the old units. I had pretty much given up on the hope that there were people and/or businesses out there that actually cared. I am having difficulty with my A/C, and didn't want to haul my 5th wheel to a repair shop. I called RV Tech to find out what it would cost for them to come out and take a look. I assumed it would be expensive, everyone's operating and overhead costs are insanely high. It was expensive, so I thanked them, and told them that I felt like I needed to at least try to diagnose and fix the issue myself before I spent that much money. He understood, wished me luck, and then truly surprised me. He volunteered to talk me through some things over the phone that would help me with the process. "Some things" turned out to be about 3 hours of his time that he gave me absolutely free that have at least given me a plan. Regardless of the cost, when I do need help in the future, there is no one else that I will consider calling. I lost hot water pressure on my motorhome while staying at a campground in Frisco. My wife and I were in the first week of our month long trip from California and leaving the next day for Austin. Despite Jay being fully booked he made plans to get to us by the end of the day. He spent thirty minutes on the phone with me going over the potential problem and referred me to a nearby store to pick up the necessary part. Throughout the day he was extremely prompt in responding to my questions. By the end of the day, with his help, I was able to fix the issue myself and he did not need to come out. He always returned my phone calls/texts and no question was too small or stupid. Jay Jones is a scammer and a fraud! I started the process with him on January 23rd 2019 and he opened the underbelly and left it open since and each time I ask for an update I get another story! As of June 24th I've asked for a refund with SURPRISE no reply. I've filed a complaint with the Texas attorney general's office and the local police department will be tomorrow! I wouldn't recommend him to touch your RV ever! My warranty company paid him based on the impression that the work was completed and I just found on this information on June 21st. He repaired my slide, it worked once then failed the second time used after paying $1000+. Then, he didn't show up for the warranty service call appointment. Other repair guys didn't even call back, which has always been an issue in whatever state we have traveled. Jay came a long distance to get to us and we appreciated that since no one locally could help. Jay worked with our insurance company for warranty repairs and processed the claim in a timely manner. I was charged $225 for the service call then they came and looked at my rig no one can seem to figure out but it's a leak between the wall probably the pipes they put a little bit of sealant on the top in the corner tested the water for 2 seconds of course it's not going to leak until the person standing in the shower for 5 to 15 minutes I have water pouring out again this is the second RV company I have contacted no one seems to understand how to clean a RV or fix a repair one star read more
