I have been here a couple times. The staff is nice and the service is usually pretty good and fast. Inside there is a good amount of seating. I got the kids steak hibachi ~$16, and upgraded to fried rice ~$2 extra and it comes with a soup or salad. I prefer the Osumashi Soup which comes with fried onion, mushroom & scallions, most people know it as clear soup. The meat was tender and juicy and the rice was good. My favorite is the soup, it's a good soup to have as a side. I also ordered the gyoza ~$8, they are good, just like your average dumplings. I got their spicy tuna roll ~$8, I was not a big fan. I'm not sure what they use to make it spicy but it was a bit overwhelming and has a sour tint to the taste. Overall the hot food is pretty good, it's flavorful, it is definitely better then the one in Watertown that has a similar name, sushi was subpar. The only downside is that it is SUPER expensive. If I only got the kid's hibachi and the gyoza it's totaling almost $30 just for 1 person which is a bit ridiculous, it's just sad because they are the only type of food being serve in this area so they definitely overpriced. I would definitely come back if I'm craving it some hibachi, but I don't see myself being a regular since it's so expensive here.

Not the best sushi I had but it's good the sashimi lunch special the white tuna was actually seared which that's never happened when I order sashimi lunch special. Their prices aren't cheap for not one really expensive and they're still doing Covid restrictions where are you can't sit and eat so it's takeout only. It was OK and the tuna appetizer is OK as well they do try to include a tip when you order which is kind of weird since they're not serving you you're just doing a order ahead. NiCe staff I will go again

Highly recommended, their foods are a lot better than Japanese Steak House one on Arsenal Street. Service was prompt and place was very clean too.

The place was very clean and they had the sushi makers out front so it was neat to watch. Very ambient energy. The saki is very expensive and I do not recommend- it was good but not for the price at all. The gyozas were out of this world good! Best we've had anywhere! The California roll was great. The Ruyi roll was very good and had great flavor. The fort drum roll was massive lol but interesting textures. The sunrise roll was great as well but felt like it was missing something to us so not as good as the others. The sesame chicken tasted a little burnt but after that initial taste was very good. Huge chunks though so made it hard to eat. Very good sushi and dinner but very pricey. Cost over 100$ for the two of us. So won't come back as often as we would like to.

This place is a hidden gem in the fort drum area. Obviously not the quality of a big city sushi restaurant but for Watertown it's AMAZING. It is on the expensive side but so it most sushi. These are the things we have had: Miso soup Kani salad Green dragon roll Salmon special (really good!) Pleasure roll Lobster roll Samurai roll I also included pictures of their menu since their website doesn't seem to work.. and neither does the online menu just in case you want to online order

The sushi is always good and fresh. Normally I'll sit at the bar to ensure I eat the sushi fresh once it's made.

When we got there, we were greeted and sat at the hibachi grill instantly. There was one other table, with about 5 people, when we were sat. Our waitress was over within a couple minutes to take our food and drink orders. Within a couple minutes of ordering, my wife and I were brought a ginger salad and miso soup. The ginger salad was your typical ginger salad with crunchy vegetables and bright dressing. The miso soup was some of the most flavorful miso soup I have ever had, and it made me want a second bowl seeing it was a colder day. To start I ordered a spicy maki combo sushi, which consisted of spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and spicy salmon rolls. The sushi came out relatively fast, and was very presentable. All of the sushi tasted fresh, and did not have that fishy taste that I have had with getting these rolls at other restaurants. After a little while, our hibachi chef came to our table, greeted us, and had us move to the seats in front of the grill, seeing we were the only two at the table. He started off by making sure he had the correct orders for us, and then lit the grill on fire, which had a very nice warmth to it. The chef did a great job putting on a show for us, while cooking our food! Our chef also had some good throws, when myself and my wife both caught pieces of broccoli in our mouths. The chef was also funny and squirted water into both of our mouths, from a bottle that had a top that looked like a child was peeing the liquid out . The chef made sure to tell us everything he was doing while he cooked our food. I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi with fried rice, vegetables, and 2 shrimp. The vegetables had a great cook on them, with that distinct teriyaki flavor. The steak and chicken were both cooked well. I was gladly surprised the chicken didn't have that dry/squeaky texture it some times can. The rice was okay, it had good flavor but seemed slightly over done. The 2 pieces of shrimp were good but nothing to write home about. Overall, we had a great time. Our hibachi chef was amazing, and my wife and I will be back in the future.

The chefs are talented and very entertaining. The place is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The prices are very reasonable. Go with a group of friends. you will be glad you did. By the way, You will enjoy the grill even if you don't like Oriental food.

Finally, a sushi joint in Gan - AND IT'S FANTASTIC!…read more I'm so glad Sushi Chef Shin and her husband came to Gananoque. They were originally located in Manotick and were voted "CTV Ottawa's Best Sushi" and with good reason. The building used to be the old "Dirty Bird" aka KFC in town but you would never know. They renovated it so the layout and decor look lovely inside. It's clean and service is always very quick. They are very welcoming and courteous. The tables are well spaced out, so as much as I love to see what others are eating, it creates a more private/intimate experience. Now, back to the food. It is more expensive then the average but the ingredients are always fresh and expertly put together. For the take out pictures, I ordered the tofu salad ($11) and spider roll ($15). I've had numerous other rolls from their menu and they're always tasty, fresh and well made. Tofu salad - Sliced soft tofu on a bed of spring greens. Topped with sesame seeds and drizzled with a sesame dressing. The fukujinzuke (type of Japanese pickle) is a nice touch too. Spider roll - Soft shell crab, cucumber and crab meat. Tempura crumbs on the outside adds a nice texture to each bite. I also like how they put in the effort for a cute garnish - even for take out. A gari (pickled ginger) rose and a carrot and radish flower. Chef Shin truly is an expert. Worth the money if you're in town and need to get your sushi fix! You can tell they care a lot about the quality of food and the service they give their customers. They're also both very sweet and wonderful to talk to. I definitely recommend people to check it out!
