They have happy hour specials unfortunately we missed those. I ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich and it was absolutely fabulous enough mushrooms, and onions. The meat was tender. The cheese was melted is very pleased. Our waiter was Sean and he couldn't have been nicer. My single gripe is there is one bathroom for each gender and it is at the far end of the restaurant. Not good if you've been drinking beer for a while. As an added perk, we were given a beer Cosy which I believe may be sponsored by Sunlife homes. It was a nice gift and a nice thought. I'll be back.

FINS Seafood & Dive Bar…read more Atmosphere & Service Occasionally, you discover a place that exceeds your expectations--and Fins did exactly that. We stopped by for dinner on Thursday at around 5:30 p.m. The spacious indoor dining room was attractive and nearly full. Outside, there is a large tiki bar, plenty of tables and chairs, and a small stage for live music. Smoking appears to be permitted at the outdoor tiki bar, which is worth noting. We chose to sit outside so we could enjoy live music. Our server, Alicia, was excellent--attentive with drinks, orders and happy to answer our questions. What We Ordered *Clam and corn chowder: A hearty bowl of soup with clams, corn, and potatoes. *Seafood skins: Crisp potato skins filled with shrimp, scallops, and bacon, then topped with melted Cheddar Jack cheese and Old Bay and served with sour cream and chives. *Cod fish and chips: Fresh Atlantic cod in a light beer batter, fried until crisp and served over fries with tartar sauce. *Haddock fish and chips: Fresh haddock in a light beer batter, fried until crisp and served over fries with tartar sauce. Food & Overall Experience The chowder arrived first and tasted even better than it looked. It was served hot and generously packed with clams, corn, and potatoes, with rich flavor in every spoonful. It is the best clam and corn chowder I have tried in the area. The seafood skins were also delicious and loaded with seafood. Both fish-and-chips dishes were among the best we have had locally. Each generous fillet covered the top of its basket, the beer batter was fried perfectly crisp, and there was a plentiful serving of fries' underneath. Everything we ordered arrived hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. We loved our visit, and FINS has earned a place in our regular dining rotation. We are already looking forward to returning and would gladly recommend stopping by. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Gulf Coast Terry

SMOKING ALLOWED IN TIKI !…read more Took a chance at this waterfront restaurant for a late lunch and was not prepared for the results of my visit. Under the outer edge of the tiki hut we sat at a small circular table with just enough shade to be comfortable in the scorching blaze of the sun. The waitress attended to us immediately and provided her opinion on the fried flounder sandwich and fries that was accompanied by a cold Yuengling tap beer - all for $15.99. Viewed the traquil Ft Myers intracoastal while drinking the cold beer which was relaxing. Unfortunately, we had to endure the cigarette smoker at the bar puffing away on the cancer sticks. Loved the water view but loathed the smoke cloud. First time I ate flounder but was surprised that it was such a tender sweet tasting white fish, similar to cod. Sunday nights are designated poker nights which seem like a fun event.

My friends recommended that we dine at Ralph's Place in the Cape. I never heard of Ralph's Place. Nevertheless, dine at Ralph's Place we did, and I'm glad that I followed their recommendations. I reviewed the place on Yelp prior to having dinner there. It appeared to be a Honky Tonk type of environment. I took a chance and we went to dine at Ralph's Place. Sure enough, it was Honky Tonk Heaven. I'm saying this with affection. It was Friday night and the Place was packed. It has a surround Bar that was packed with customers having adult beverages. This IS a Bar after all !!! But a Bar that serves food. All of the waitresses were very busy as it was a packed house. Consequently, service was a little slow , but efficient. Jessica , our fabulous waitress suggested the chicken & shrimp combo. I accepted her suggestion and placed my order. As the live band played music in the background, the noise level elevated. Loud talking became louder to talk over the band. But the music was good !! Our food was brought to our table and we began to eat. WOW ! My chicken & shrimp was delicious !!! Every bite was flavorful. I enjoyed every morsel as I began to respond to the lively music by "chair dancing" ! Yes , it's a thing "chair dancing" lol. As the house was packed with a full house and more customers arriving every minute there was a need for our table. I tried to belly up to the bar to grab our waitress's attention as she was extremely busy. The place is crowded like a mad house. I Paíd the bill and gave Jessica a 30% tip. She earned it. A good time was had by all. Everyone enjoyed their food and the honky Tonk ambiance. Now that I know of Ralph's Place I will be back but maybe enjoy outside dining where it is not so loud and a conversation could be enjoyed. Great food , service with live entertainment, what more could be asked for. As for our waitress, Jessica , she was fantastic ! She explained the menu , made great dinner suggestions and was very pleasant and engaging. Yeah ... I'll be back !!!

So .... in keeping with my assessment of these waterside restaurants, one is not all that different from another. We ended up at Cheeks because a competitor, steps away, blasted music making it difficult to carry on conversation. Definitely not four stars, but in all fairness a bit more than three. Locally-caught fish tastes better than what's flown in, which is probably why all these places serve some form of grouper. Too bad I can't show you my grilled grouper sandwich: it looks big, a bit hard to eat. But that's because lettuce camouflaged a paltry amount of fish. (Unfortunate since the fish was tasty.) Rather than fries -- a typical side in all these places -- I upgraded to a surprisingly delicious house salad. My friend, who ordered a cheesesteak sandwich (which she deemed three stars) gave props to the accompanying sweet potato fries. Drinks: they were out of most beer (surprising in a place like this.) I was impressed that a glass of house cab was only $4. Y'know that saying, 'you get what you pay for?' What I got was a huge headache.

Grilled chicken with a nice char on it, hummus, tzatziki, fresh tomato and cucumber salsa, all served with warm pita bread and a drizzle of that green herb oil. Quality food for sure. Here's my issue: the price. Spending $30 on a lunch item shouldn't be the norm. The food is good, no question, but I wish there was a more reasonably priced option on the menu. It's a lot to drop for a midday meal. The Verdict: Four stars. Good food, good service, quality all around. Just be ready for a higher price tag than you'd expect for lunch.
