First and last time at rustys. Truly did not feel welcomed; unprofessional staff/security. Bad taste as soon as I walked in the door. The lady with security was laughing at us, and told him our IDs were fake. We paid a premium to be there, we did not cause any trouble and tipped well. Around 1:40 they cut off the music and turned on the lights. We notice this and started to pay our tabs. It took the servers a few minutes to close out our tabs. Meanwhile the security is harassing us, giving us an attitude. He was trying to intimidate us and start trouble for no reason. Never had a business treat me the way they did last night. Service was extremely slow and they weren't even busy at all. Our fish was a grouper basket and the crust wasn't cooked all the way. It was extremely salty too. I think the grease was to hot because the fish was dark as heck on outside like it was over cooked but on the inside it wasn't done. We definitely won't be coming back. read more

I have been coming to this place for awhile and have generally been very satisfied with the food and service. They have great happy hour prices including draught beer for $1 for 10 ounce mug. Unfortunately the past couple of times I have been there the smell of raw sewage hits you as soon as you walk in the door!! Went to Rusty's Estero today and was completely ignored. We sat at the bar where there were 5 or 6 employees Walking around and no one greeted us. The restaurant was not very busy and we waited a solid 5 minutes before walking out. We go to Rusty's to watch football pretty often and this isn't the first time we have had poor service, but this might be the last time we go there. Would have been more understandable if it were busy or if they were short staffed but that wasn't the case today. It's a bar, so we weren't expecting out of this world cuisine. That said, food was really good and the prices were equally good. The local IPA was quite nice to add onto the rating. What gets this place five stars, in our book, is the service. Super friendly waitress and prompt food & drink. As visitors to the area our server even spent extra time to share places to go and see while in vacationing. Much appreciated. I met 2 friends there on Friday April 12th for dinner and drinks. We arrived around 6:00 and the 3 of us sat at the bar. My 2 friends arrived about 10 min. before me and were able to order drinks. However, no one came back to us and asked if they wanted a refill or asked if I wanted anything. We had menus in our hands and wanted to order dinner. We sat there for about 30 min. without any eye contact or help form any server. We decided to leave and go somewhere else, but my friends had an open tab. So, we stood up hoping it would get some attention. Nope. Stood there for about 5 min. and then walked out. I'm so glad that I don't own this restaurant as my money flies out of the door. It's a sports bar with decent food and good prices. We have been twice and had the grouper sandwich and the mushroom burger, both quite good. It can be hard to get a seat. Staff are friendly and the service is quick. This bar has grown in popularity over the years, but the service has remained consistent. Owners progressively improve the aesthetics each year. Ok best thing tonight were the oysters. Service was just terrible. Arrived after 4 pm found a spot sitting at the bar. Watched at least 8 servers behind the bar having a good time, eating water melon, on their phones, paying more attention between themselves instead of the paying customers at the bar. About two weeks ago me and my four friends went to rustys for some drinks. We were hanging out having a good time, then decided to go to the bathroom together. We had never been here before but quickly found a bathroom in the corner that had a sign saying it was for both genders. We all went in together, and while I was in the middle of peeing someone started banging on the door then instantly keyed in. Not only was this huge man who works at rustys staring at me pee, but people in the bar were as well. I pulled my skirt up as quickly as possible while we were being screamed at to get out. While being violently escorted out (for using the bathroom?) I realized I forgot my wallet. Not only would they not let me go back and get my wallet, they also refused to go and get it for me. I had to ask a random girl I had never met before to go to the bathroom to get it for me. When we tried asking why we were kicked out for using the bathroom they said it was a staff bathroom, and when we told them we didn't know because there wasn't a sign and we'd never been here they started calling us whores and telling us to "go suck dick." One of the men screamed at me an inch from my face. The whole situation is so unreal. I am completely mortified and Im trying to warn other woman because I feel so violated and exposed. I'm posting this now because I had called the manager and left a message about the situation but he never got back to me. I'll never forget my first time experiencing this restaurant last week. Hayley (blonde 5'4) was our bartender. She was so friendly when she introduced herself, my fiancé and I were blown away. We told her it was our first time there and she showed us their menu along with all of their specials. It was pretty packed when we went, however Hayley was very attentive. I ordered a margarita and my fiancé ordered a manhattan up. The drinks were made within three minutes and were delicious! I got the chicken fingers with loaded fries and he got the buffalo chicken wrap. The service, drinks and food were amazing. I was a regular last season for football, and when my friends and I came in today I expected to watch my game on the projector screen. I've been going to Rusty's for about 6 years and it been consistently going downhill. While the food is more or less the same, the service has become almost unbearable. It is hard to get the attention of the very sociable staff for drinks and food. Tonight in particular we couldn't get the attention of about 6 bartenders when we first sat at the bar and then later on when we were ready to order food. Justine in particular was only interested in serving her friends and flirting with guys (for free it appeared) and maybe one other table where she also knew the customers. A group of us used to go to Rusty's for dinner, drinks, and to see Big Buck and the Biscuit Boys most Fridays.The last 2 times we went there a different band was performing who in my humble opinion is not in the same league as the Biscuit Boys. The rest of the crowd there seems to share my opinion as there is no one dancing or any applause after a song. I am hoping they bring back Buck and the boys as my wife, my friends, and I really enjoyed Friday evening dinners and drinks at Rusty's. We went here on a Saturday night hoping to watch the March Madness game and have a couple drinks. My father had been here a few years ago and it was a nice, relaxing sports bar where you watch the game and chill out. Now, on fridays and Saturday's, it becomes a dance club. There are pretty much only college students/21 year olds. There is extremely loud dance music, and the back of the bar turns into a dance floor with bright lights. I live in Miami but visit a client in Naples about once every three months. Every time I'm up there I have lunch or dinner at Rusty's! It's the perfect all american sports bar and the food is amazing! My favorite thing to do is get a few appetizers and I love it! They used to have a spicy combo of buffalo shrimp and wings and something else but I didn't see it on the menu last night. I've tried other things such as the Mac and cheese bites which are out of this world or the crab balls which are my favorite, I just wish they served them with a few more wedges of lemon or lime. They have a good selection of draft and bottle brews and the ambiance is pretty relax, lots of people look like they are locals and enjoy having a beer at this place. Last night they had an amazing singer Jason Bonham, he was incredible!!! He could very well be a country or rock star, he played for a long time and his energy on stage never diminished. He had people singing and dancing and all eyes were on him. I will definitely keep coming back to Rusty's on all my business trips. read more
