Vegetable beef soup and a roast beef sandwich
    Rick H.

We went here because a person recommended it. It seems like they were either under staffed or in a shift change. They were a little busy. There was a quiet atmosphere at that time. We got the chicken quesadillas. Huge portion!! They come with guacamole, pico and sour cream this could be shared for sure! The chicken was a bit too spicy for my wife's liking but was good. Also ordered the 1/2 roast beef sandwich salad and soup. Which was also a good size portion and was also good. We ordered an appetizer of chips and nacho cheese which was good and enough to share! Over all the food is decent bar food. I will say something seemed off when we were there. Not sure what it was but we didn't feel welcome I get it that everyplace has an off day over all it was just okay.

The food is consistently good! The young men both goatees behind the bar , one has a little darker hair, the other one's a little lighter. I don't know their names, but the one with the lighter hair bust his butt every single time we're there. Great service.!! no matter how busy they are he does a great job. I don't know why anyone would go to Buster's or anywhere else to get a drink and some food

That's the salad it's ok, not posting the food I threw it out

It's not called a Reuben sandwich, but it's very similar. It's made with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. It was delicious.

Good food, good pour on the drinks. But the bartenders were so aloof that it did not make us feel like our patronage was appreciated.

I walk inside for a bag of ice and hear the manager/owner/whoever is on the clock saying "what do they expect sitting that close to the edge of the patio" and "crap, what do you think they are gonna do about this?"- last I checked, we didn't place their tables in their establishment and if they were worried about retaliation, maybe a staff member should have checked on us. Instead - not one staff member, owner, manager, asked if he was okay. We were all immediately given our tabs to avoid confrontation and they ushered us out as soon as possible to hope to avoid conflict. Glad this staff and owner care about their community. I expect more. Don't EVER give this establishment your money - and if you do, be sure To sit inside JUST IN CASE.

I asked the waitress if the potatoes were deep-fried because if they were I did not want them. And she had a look that she didn't understand me, but didn't ask or clarify anything. My husband ordered the country skillet. The coffee was delicious He said the country skillet was very good.. My omelette did not have any mushrooms in it. But what was odd it was the shredded potatoes and she had the Kitchen deep fry the shredded potatoes. When I asked her about that, she replied with "you said you wanted them deep fried" I said no I said I didn't want them if they were deep fried. She said "Let me see if I can get you another side" She came back with the hashbrowns not deep fried. The omelet itself appeared to be cooked in oil as it was very greasy. I chose ham as my meat specifically to avoid this kind of an outcome The potatoes were also very heavy in oil , or whatever it is, they used to cook them with The food came out quickly and the waitress is very nice. If I go back, I'd probably just get poached eggs in a bowl with a side of ham.

His game plan was to…read morefigure out the perfect dinner spot where we could catch an epic Sanibel sunset, then still have enough time to roll over for a hallmark view of the July 4th fireworks. Mission accomplished. Lighthouse Waterfront is huge with a big dining rm on one side and another section closer to the left overlooking the outdoor deck sitting right on the water. If you're chasing sunset vibes, this deck is where it's at. We started with a dozen meaty oysters and a hot crab dip with crispy wontons to dip. For our main plates, hubs ordered the thick-cut bone-in pork chop and loved it while I went with the seasoned grilled swordfish. I had the Dubai Chocolate cocktail and I'll give them props for that pistachio rim and the dark chocolate drizzle.....that Hershey's syrup crap. The only downside was it could've packed a punch. But then again- between my recent trip to Miami/Ft Lauderdale and now Sanibel...I haven't had a drink that would know the shit out me here. No offense. Anyhow, to wrap things up, we shared a slice of key lime pie. That's basically mandatory when you're down here. It was good, but honestly, the real treat was watching that Sanibel sunset. Service was ok- I just wished our young server was more present. On the plus side, when he'd showed up, he made sure to help at any given moment. We finished dinner, headed out to the deck and soaked in every second of the sunset before making our way to catch the fireworks elsewhere.

Where to start. 1)Our servers were amazing. 2) Drinks - pathetic. $16.00 for a lime martini that tasted like a melted popsicle and was a total of 6 oz. Tasted no alcohol. 3) crab dip a 3 inch skillet of carb dip with 10 small pita chips. No taste at all and $19.00. 4) shrimp with garlic and butter over linguini - it was basically pho soup. $28.00. 5) and the best of all. Lobster Mac n cheese. It was macaroni with (I kid you not) seafood bisque over top and a small ramekin of Parmesan cheese $50.00. The man playing music (nice island vibe) in the corner was so loud I could not hear my husband across the table. In fact most asked to move to the other side but it was closed off or outside because it was so loud. Did I mention it was 95 degrees. 5 or so parties were seated after us, and while we were not at all in a hurry, every one of them received their meals prior to us and left before we received our food. Our server felt bad so she offered us some bread for the extra wait. (Shouldn't that be standard). We didn't complain and paid the over $150.00 bill plus a nice tip and the 3% charge for using a card. No manager came to ask how the meal was and at this point we were over it. Asked for a take home box and left. I can also tell you the menu was extremely limited. No crab dishes, no scallop dishes? A seafood restaurant not anymore? What happened? New management, owners? And yes we've been there since IAN so can't blame the hurricane. We will only visit Lobster Lady from now on. I sound like I just want to complain but I don't. I know it's off season and don't ever expect perfection. This was worse than horrible. Beware. It's not what it once was. Sadly! Sorry no pictures mostly out of shock but the water feature that used to be so picturesque outside was green algae.

This is the third time I've been to this restaurant for a pickup and the first time I've really looked at the receipt. It was always odd that there was an extra line item that said "packaging" and had a weird amount. Thinking it was a charge for utensils, I thought that Rib City was just trying to recoup some money for not having you stay and eat. Ordering this afternoon, April 15, 2025, we specifically said (on the phone) "we do not need any plastic ware. Please do not put that on the bill. Do not give us any forks, knives or spoons". There was no comment from the person taking our order about the request. With that silence, we placed an R.I.B Rewards member order of "Buy a rack of baby back ribs, get a rack of baby back ribs - free". Telling the hostess on the phone our sides, we finally got a response and were told it was going to be over $40, "but the discount will come off for the second ribs when you come in and pay". She couldn't tell us what the out the door price was because the computer wouldn't let her until we showed up. Once we got there, the meals were already packaged in a bag and waiting for us on a table, even though we were told it'll be ready in "20 minutes" (it was about 15 since hanging up). The final price was $22.49 and it felt weird because that's a lot of local tax. Upon getting home and looking at the receipt, they charged $0.60 per meal as a "packaging" fee. No utensils were in the bag or in the boxes. Apparently they do a to go charge for every box they put together on one order, regardless of having utensils. So our added charge was $1.20. I know a lot of restaurants tack on fees for takeout orders, but somewhere it needs to be noted that Rib City does this. If they're not going to tell you (or correct you when you state you don't want the charge) on the phone when you place an order, then it needs to appear somewhere that someone can read it. All that crazy, the meal was massive. One order was a baked potato and slaw as the two sides while the other order had double fries. If anything is to be said about the cole slaw, it's that they seemed to have gotten a little bigger serving size in the meal and was better than the last time. The regret really was that the person should have gotten two baked potatoes because they saved one rack for another meal, and "it would have been nice to have another potato" [with it]. The order with the double fries, at first glance, looked like one serving. But after digging around in the order and seeing how much food really was there, there was enough for a second order. Both my ribs and the other ribs were "fall off the bone" good, as advertised. However, I did feel the need to utilize the extra sauce that came with the meal. If you're looking to take home a meal and share, go for the full rack and get two different sides - one for each person. However, be prepared that you're going to pay for the meal, for the tax and for the privilege of taking it home. It had to be said.
