I was not ready to relive the emotions again. How dare you ! I was going to keep other details out , but why don't I share them. The day of my wedding which was that weekend , I was getting bombarded with phone calls because apparently they lost my credit card information . They were desperate to get a payment. Payment I couldn't make the day this all happened because the power went out. My husband had to take the calls and explain to you we were on a plane trying to get to our wedding destination. Hours from getting married, all you could do is call non stop to collect a payment. It's not my fault everything was handled so poorly on your end. I was nothing but nice and kind to everyone at the salon. Money was never the issue. It's clear to me now you portray to be a high end salon when in reality your actions show that you have no clue how to treat your customers nor are trained to handle this kind of situation. I feel for your employees. Why don't you invest in a course for your management/ owner . You truly need it. I'm done with your nonsense and not taking responsibility for all your mistakes . Hope you follow my advice.

The color wasn't great (kinda brassy) and he took me in the lobby for better light -- my roots were still showing in places. Then he took me inside and was like, "since I'm new here, you get to name your own price. My rates are usually $... for a root touch up, and $... for a cut." Can't remember the exact numbers, but his normal price was close to $500 for both of those things. Maybe that's normal for this area, but I've never spent that much for a touch up and trim. And there was this awkward interaction between us where I was like, "I don't want to insult you, but I've never paid that much for my hair..." And he suggested over $300 and I was like, okay... which is still more than I've ever paid for my hair, but I'm not from this area, so again, this could be completely normal. I think the negotiating part at the end just left me feeling scammed. It was definitely my bad for not asking up front about pricing, but I was not expecting that cost and it wasn't the best hair experience I've ever had either. I guess I could see paying that much if my hair looked amazing, but it was just okay.

I recently moved here from Venice California. I would get my haircut at a place in Brentwood…read moreCalifornia that was rated top 5 in the US by the New Yorker magazine. After arriving, I went to a barber that was well rated in Old Town. I hadn't had a $28 haircut in a while, so I figured I would try them out, but they completely missed the boat. Ohana set me up with Mathew, and he was honestly fantastic! It's not often that I will write an review, but on this occasion I feel I must. I was totally disappointed and felt that nothing would compare to the treatment I received in California. I have to admit, I was was wrong... and it was half the price. I think I went to the other place because Ohana had $$$ and I was saving money. If you really don't care about a quality job and good experience, fair enough. If you have an extra $15 dollars, I promise you it's worth every penny. Thank you for changing my view Ohana~

It seems like Ohana has a lot of great people working for them now, I'm posting this review…read morebelatedly because it never posted in the first place. Only reason I'm posting so late is because this it seems that hairstylist hasn't learned her lesson 4 years later... Gianna dyed my hair how she wanted not how l asked for. I had asked for a blonde money piece that did not have balayage up to the roots which she decided to do because she thought it looked better. This was way back on January 22, 2022. Worst haircut of my life too, you can check it out on her Insta. It stuck with me because I think if I was older, she wouldn't have overstepped. Anyways on one of her recent posts she mentioned that the client requested her bangs not to be dyed... Yet she dyed the outer half of them... It would've looked better how the client wanted. Or maybe the fade was just bad I don't know. Maybe she will listen to advice from her fellow hairstylists about achieving client satisfaction if she won't from her clients. Maybe you all can save future victims of a hair stylist who does what she wants instead of what they want. Am I crazy for posting this four years later? Yeah. However, this is a big deal for the person spending hundreds of dollars on something that wasn't even a time consuming service. Nowadays, I work in the medical field and can afford a mistake like that. However, it's a huge disappointment for a lot of people to have to spend hundreds of dollars on a hair service only to have their hopes crushed by someone who thinks they know better. Unless you're trying to advise a client from dying their hair a color that is completely incompatible with their natural hair color and texture, keep it to yourself. This wouldn't have mattered if it was done by Walmart, you can expect to have a haircut/money piece botched when done there. However, absolutely not when you're spending hundreds of dollars and tipping exorbitantly. Salons, please do better at teaching your employees customer satisfaction skills as well as technical skills. And for the love of God, if you're employing a inexperienced stylist, be prepared to fix whatever mistake they made at your expense, not the client's.
