    Club Med on multi grain

4.5 stars! Stoped in for lunch with a group of 4 and had a great meal! You order at the counter and can see your sandwich being made right in front of you. The ingredients were fresh and there was a nice variety of options on the menu. You can choose to have your sandwich made on rustic bread (looked similar to a baguette) or multigrain. They also offer gluten free bread. I went with the Club Med on multigrain which was very good and had a lot of nice flavors that meshed well. It was a very filling and satisfying sandwich and I would say that the price was on point for the quality. The staff were friendly and the overall interior was clean. I will definitely be back to try more!

Rustic Knead's second location is officially open in the Downtown Frankfort area! While they opened about 3 weeks ago, they are still working to get to 100% production level. The inside is very warm and inviting with white and wood tones, displays of baked goods, plenty of natural lighting, and seating for about 25 people. The staff were all friendly and welcoming! We ordered the 12oz lavender latte and 12oz chai tea latte. I personally felt the coffee latte could use a bit more of a flavor punch but both were good! We also got the Carrot Cake & Cinnamon Streusel Muffins. Both were hardy, moist, and had good flavor. The Carrot Cake would go great with a little bit of butter! Overall, I enjoyed my visit as a first timer of Rustic Knead. I will be excited as they stock more of their breads and to go items in the next two weeks. Their sandwich offerings looked very intriguing so I look forward to coming back to try more!

A hidden gem! We just loved our experience here. Friendly service. We will definitely be back!

    BLT. FABULOUS

What a hidden gem! They are open for breakfast....but its breakfast sandwiches...no omlettes or waffles. I had the BLT with gluten free bread. It was sooooo goood!! My husband had another sandwich.. he really enjoyed that as well. Good soups, too.

Leaving with fresh, hot rustic bread.

Let me begin by saying $8.99…read more $8.99 OH MY GOSH, $8.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to begin here, as my feelings were DEEPLY HURT, as the cost of a glass of orange juice that was MAYBE 12OZ was $8.99! Why!? Why!? Why!? This was discovered when it was time to pay the bill. I have been to MANY PLACES...MANY places for breakfast fare, and have had LARGER GLASSES of orange juice for less. I could not for the life me figure out how or why this was the price they decided on!!??! Was it freshly juiced orange juice? Sure. Was it enjoyed by my date? Yes. Was that itty bitty glass worth $8.99? NOPE,AND A BIG FAT NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It kinda ruined it for me. Because it didn't sense. *exhaling* I found this cute spot just by googling"pancakes near me". Lol I find fun things this way:) When I tell you it was everything I needed it to be (except for that orange juice price tag-yes, I am still reeling from that and its 10:38pm CST). It was small inside. It was cute. No Instagram frills. It reminded me of the 90's. The music playing was even befitting for a sweet, soft, enjoyable breakfast experience. No one was there when we arrived. Just the workers. Very attentive individuals. Not too big on smiles, but I was there for pancakes. The order: The pancake combo/breakfast came with 2 pancakes, I added fresh strawberries. Eggs cooked soft(2) sausage links(2). I had a cup of coffee with water. My date's order: Cinnamon Apple Pancakes Pancakes (2) eggs(2) and (2)bacon. Oh and that RIDICULOUSLY PRICED ORANGE JUICE.*sigh* *To our surprise, we recieved 3 pieces of breakfast meats apiece * The meal was perfection. It was what my belly and morning soul needed. Fresh, crispy, warm, and simply delightful. Coffee hot. Yes, please keep it coming! Lol I ate it slow. Each bite made me so happy I(again randomly selected a new spot to check out. Well, new to me. I asked how long this establishment has been open, the response, 14 years. 14 years!? And I never knew it was there. In a new plaza.... hmmm.. how did I miss that!? A few more people trinkled in as we ate. The noise level didnt really change. When I say it was so quiet in there. So peaceful. So calm. It was absolutely what my Saturday morning heart needed. Thank you. Though the orange juice price was BANANAS!!!!!! I will return. It was such a good time. Such a calming good time. And as always, you don't have to believe me... Go get you some!

We had some dietary restrictions at our table, so there were some special orders, and she absolutely nailed every single one of them. As soon as you had three sips from your coffee cup, she was there to offer you a refill. The table maintenance was impeccable. So many restaurants nowadays miss the mark on this. She was expedient, ultra friendly, without making you feel rushed. The food was cooked perfectly and for breakfast food, very delicious. I say that because I can't tell you how many breakfast restaurants screw up the very basic foods that compromise the simplest meal of the day, in my opinion. Yet, there are so many places that just don't get it right. Kup A Joe definitely is not one of those places. The portions were massive, and well worth the money! If you were looking for a place to go to have a nice sit down breakfast, this is your spot! Well done!

Thankfully, Maple House Café on Lincoln Highway was open--and it absolutely did not disappoint. I should note that the restaurant is bigger on the inside than it appears from the front. Very spacious, warm and inviting. The restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were seated almost immediately in a cozy spot by the window. The atmosphere was very pleasant...dining room was clean, bright, peaceful, and comfortable, with plenty of natural light that made the atmosphere very comfortable without feeling noisy or chaotic. The food was outstanding. My daughter is a picky eater, so when she RAVES about her food I know folk are doing something right. She loved the eggs so much that she cleaned her plate, and she also really enjoyed the house-made sausage patties. She was okay with her pancake but kept reaching over to steal bites of my cream cheese-stuffed French toast topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. It was sweet without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It struck a perfect balance. I ordered lightly scrambled eggs with feta, and they prepared them exactly the way I like them. I also ordered the sausage links and was surprised when three huge, perfectly seasoned links arrived on the plate. They were delicious. The portions here are incredibly generous. In fact our delightful server brought a fresh fruit waffle to our table by mistake, and told us to keep it on the house. So glad she did cuz that waffle was ...crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Everyone we encountered from the hosts to our server to the staff clearing tables were all genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive. Considering they were spending part of their holiday serving others instead of being with family, their positive attitudes made an even bigger impression. My daughter was also happy about the strawberry lollipop she got on the way out, which was, for her, the perfect ending to a great breakfast. Great food, generous portions, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend Maple House Café and will definitely be back.

We wanted something other than just burgers again, so I proposed seafood. There didn't seem to be a lot of options in this area, but Dancing Marlin seemed to fit the bill and was pretty close. Before going, we looked at the menu, and there really wasn't anything my little one was going to want on the kids menu - there was no seafood for the kids, not even a basic fish and chips. He saw the lobster rolls appetizer though, and that sold him, so we got in the car and headed down. When we went to order, the waiter told us the only thing they were out of was the lobster rolls, but when we asked about the lobster gnocchi that my other son was about to order, they said they could do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that they only liked to use big whole pieces of lobster for the lobster rolls, and that is what they were out of, but had the smaller pieces they normally used in the gnocchi dish. I asked if she could do the lobster rolls with the smaller pieces, and she confirmed with the chef so we were back in business. The food was all excellent. I had the seared ahi and it was delicious, but was just a small portion for my liking. The scallops my wife had were delicious, but for $38 it was only 4 scallops. Maybe kids who live around here don't want fish when their parents do, but you should at least have a kids portion of fish and chips, or some fried shrimp on the menu for them. I'm not going to order a $27 fish and chips portion for a little kid, but he also didn't come to just eat chicken nuggets or buttered noodles.
