The fellow came out to have a look and he too sure didn't give me the "warm and fuzzies" that they wanted my business. Long story short - I took it down the road and the reception was far more inviting and I dealt with them instead. Now, I have the pleasure of having some kind person think it's pretty funny to key passenger door of my car. Communication is key for me when I'm dealing with car things. I don't feel knowledgeable enough to know when I'm being ripped off, so I'm always appreciative of staff who take the time to explain the details in terms that I understand. They even covered the cost of a rental car for a week (conveniently located right next to the shop). When I got my car back it had been detailed inside and out. I'm not sure if that is standard practice, but I sure noticed the difference.

They didn't give the rental car I was promised, even though I was assured, the day before, that it was booked. They promised my car would be ready on a Sunday. It wasn't. Unseen damage. Isnt that their job to see/estimate it? I went in the next day when it was promised again, but again, not ready. I called the next day and they had "run out of double sided tape". Finally I was told I could pick it up on Thu at noon, but again, it wasn't ready! To add to all those broken promises, I asked them to "buff out" the many little scratches on the paint. I had to pay $500. for it myself as it wasn't part of the claim. It was all clean and shiny, but the scrapes were still there. I felt ripped off.

We frantically called around on a Saturday late afternoon of the long weekend and Gerry's Automotive was the ONLY place that would check the diagnostic. Turns out we needed an alternator and it was 3:30pm when we arrived (they close at 5pm) We were extremely grateful they drove to parts store to pick up new alternator and installed it, we were gone by 5pm. If they wouldn't have gone out of their way for us, we would have have to stay in a hotel for another 2 nights, miss work and and school Monday to get our truck looked. When a coolant leak left him high and dry we gave them a second shot... bad idea. The turbo hose clamp was left completely loose and the hose wasn't installed all the way leading to a massive boost leak. They charge very high end prices for sub par workmanship. We will not be supporting this business in the future. The receptionist even told us she'd see us soon, 'that car is expensive and you'll be back' How wrong she was. We won't be back.
