Iced chai w almond milk. Top tier!
Ellery D.

While I was never able to step foot into Rustbelt myself, I greatly enjoyed their iced chai while I was staying in Toledo. My mom brought me back several and I must say, it was the best chai I've had in years. The perfect balance of sweetness, spices, and black tea, and just enough almond milk to make it creamy. I wish they were in New Orleans so I could get one every day!

Rustbelt is a perfect place to spend a lunch break or business meeting downtown! The service is very quick and all of the baristas are very friendly. I like that their menu is simple and the seasonal options always provide something to look forward to!

Great coffee in a great in a refurbished rust belt setting. Their large latte comes with a generous 4 shots. Got a Russian tea cake make this an annual stop on the way to up north Michigan.

Workshop and an everything bagel

Delicious bagels at a reasonable price- I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and my Bride got a vanilla cinnamon bagel with cream cheese. We really enjoyed them- and I'm kind of a bagel snob. The sign in the window says "Proudly Serving Actual Coffee," and they are. I asked for "a regular coffee," and got what they call "the Workshop." Which is a cup of coffee as smooth and dark as Barry White's vocals. Bride got a tea latte made with English Breakfast tea for maximum caffeine. She described it as "delicious- lightly sweet but not cloyingly so." Altogether with tax it was $14 and change. Well worth it! I'm definitely planning to come back while we're in town.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Toledo is RustBelt, which I visit several times a month. It is always quiet and clean, and the service is very fast! In December, I tried their Christmas menu, and it was delicious. Surprisingly, even with all the marshmallows, it wasn't too sweet, which was lovely!

What a fabulous coffee shop. I definitely didn't expect to find a spot like this in Toledo. Clearly the joke is on me. After parking my car in their private lot, I walked in and was shocked to find a community hub. Not only did they have the option to pay for a coworking space in the back, but it was filled with people. Whether they were there catching up with old friends or to get some work done, it was obvious if you lived in town this is where you would go. After taking a look at the drink menu and scanning their behind-the-counter treats, I landed on a vanilla latte with soy milk and an everything bagel. The service was spot on and friendly. It didn't take long for both of my items to be prepared and from there, I popped a squat, and got to work. I sat at a community table that had a ton of electrical outlets. Thank you for that! The wifi didn't have a password and worked pretty well. There's no doubt that I would come back for the coffee AND the atmosphere. And will likely do so as I travel to Detroit for work every now and again. I can confidently say that Rustbelt deserves five stars all the way.

You could either sit with the quiet kids (adults) or sit with the rowdy ones. In other words, there's a quieter work space in the back of Rustbelt, lol. I enjoy both sides whenever I visit, and depending on the reason for my visits. I love the ambience of Rustbelt and the friendliness of their staff. There's motivational quotes on the walls of their quiet workspace is amazing! The caffeinated beverages are amazing! I My seasonal "go to" bev is their coffee flights to sample their new drinks.

Espresso on ice and an iced tea I enjoyed on August 19th, as I did some work on my iPad.

I typically avoid this place because of my own politics (Rustbelt is directly connected to an anti-gay, anti-choice church), but a friend invited me to meet him recently and I never pass up a chance to have some coffee! While I prefer the coffee from the nearby, super cute, Maddie & Bella, I have to say the espresso and iced tea I ordered at Rustbelt were both delicious! And the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere really is killer too, and offers a lot of instagramable moments. In this new "work from home" world we live in, Rustbelt offers some really killer opportunities to grab a table and get some work done. The wi-fi is fast, there are a ton of seating arrangements for your meetings, and they even have a few more private areas if you need that. It is a thoughtfully designed space, with a ton of space for crowds, and since there are currently no other co-working spaces in downtown Toledo, this is really a great choice if you need to get out of your home-office. Will I be back? Probably not! But if you're ok with Rustbelt's politics, or like many that eat Chik-Fil-A you just chose to turn a blind eye when it comes to food and drink, definitely check this spot out!

Wanted to stop for a caffeine break on the way up to Michigan. Found this one close to the highway. They have their own parking lot but there's also parallel parking. Not that busy the day after Thanksgiving. Then again, the place was gonna close for the day in a few minutes. I ordered a seasonal drink. Cappuccino with cardamom? Can't remember. And my sister got a cortado that had a flannel syrup? Can't recall either but it was interesting! It's very open with tall ceilings. Lots of natural light too! Espresso shots are pulled for about 30 seconds. Still pretty light in taste, in my opinion! I don't mind coming back!

Love the gays, not this coffee. Bad taste and worse morals. 1/10 would recommend. Many other coffee places downtown that are 100% better.

Our server was so terrific. All the food was delicious. I'd been craving French onion soup and decided to give it a try and it was sofa king good. Perfection! I also had a delicious turkey club paired with a kiwi smash. The space is open with high ceilings and a long bar. It started filling up shortly after we were seated so would recommend a reservation. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Toledo!

This is kind of a hard review for me. I REALLY wanted to love this place, but a few things went…read morekind of wrong, and the ambiance, although really interesting, was off. The drinks were good, but again, a hitch. Service too... So, two of us ordered the French dip sandwich. They were just OK at best. Really no flavor, the roll was kind of wrong and the jus was tasteless. I asked (several times) for some horseradish, and I would guess it's still on its way to the table... 2 folks ordered the fried walleye, and one said it was REALLY good and the other said it was really over cooked. 1 person ordered the burger and said it was great. The last person ordered the salmon and did like it. The standout sides were the brussels sprouts and the fries. Both are very, very good. No comments about the other sides. The person across the way ordered the bruleed sweet potatoes and they looked amazing. The ambiance. What a cool place inside. A cool mix of furnishings with some kitsch factor. Not in a bad way from aesthetics, but in practicality, a big miss. When we were taken to our table, we were presented with a 1950's style dinette and chairs. Again, really kitschy, but not at all fun to sit in. The place has a cool mix of all kinds of stuff, but the noise was deafening. We tried to talk to one another, but it was really hard. Just too much background noise from all the people in a concrete, brick and steel room. Too bad. The drinks... So, I took a chance and ordered my martini. I explained how I wanted it mixed, etc. and the bartender did a superb job! Hats off to him for making a great martini! The big issue was one of our guests wanted a Bloody Mary. The waitress explained that they have great Bloody Mary's as they make their own mix. After the drinks were ordered, the waitress came back to the table to let us know they were out of Bloody Mary mix. Mind you, this is 6:00 on a Saturday. That shouldn't happen. The service... All of the drinks were ordered at the same time, and they came out in a staggered fashion over a period of 15 minutes. Same thing with our dinners. Interestingly, the hold up with the entrees was the 2nd French Dip. I would guess if the guy making the sandwiches saw 2 of the same thing on the same ticket, he'd make them both at the same time. That second sandwich took at least 15 minutes to get to the table. We're all being polite and waiting for his meal to deliver so we can all eat at the same time. Cold fish, anyone? And I'd still like to know where my horseradish went. Oh, parking in the lot to the left of the building is stupid expensive. Park in the garage across the street and save $20 bucks. All in all, our check came to about $100.00 for 3 of us. That's without the tip. My meal was a solid 2 to 3-star event but factoring in the others' opinions and negating the Bloody Mary incident and service, I'll give it 4 stars. Pretty sure I'll go back, but probably not too soon.

Driving through the area heading to Michigan. Decided to stop for lunch. Started searching places…read moreand found this. Good ratings and not too far off the highway. This was a typical bar pub. Bar up front and specials on the board. Seats either high tables or low tables. It was crowded for a Thursday around 12.30p. Lots of workers and families eating lunch. Good mix of people. Asked the server a few questions about the menu. Chicken tenders are homemade. So I ordered 3 and a side salad. They came out quickly. All our lunches did. They were big and meaty and not too much breading super good. Salad was good size and not bad. I liked it. My 2 friends got the medium BLT on rye and the other got the tacos. The BLT was a winner. You choose 3 sizes which is why 3 prices. The medium was pretty substantial. The tacos were big. The issue with them was too many onions. A few is good. This was loaded. Server was good. The menu had a good mix of options and the prices were good as well. Decent amount of food for the price. Overall this was a good choice. If ever in the area I'd go back:

YES!!!!! Finally,…read moreafter nearly 10 years living back in Toledo, this place has opened! Real NYC-style chicken and rice. If you ever lived in NYC you know what I'm talking about. This is the real deal. The guy who runs it used to run a deli in Brooklyn. Toledo has plenty of good Lebanese shawarma platters, but this is a different category. Nothing else scratches the itch. They upped their price to about $15, but when they did that they increased the portion size and included a drink and a bag of chips for free, so I think it's still a pretty good deal. Often they'll mix in some fries with the platter, too. As well as lettuce, tomatoes, and grilled onions and peppers. And they have Vernors, which you can't usually get at NYC halal trucks. So it's almost like NYC-Detroit fusion, the best of both worlds LOL! I haven't tried the rest of their menu much. I tried a lemon chicken sandwich once, and it was not on par with the ones that I've from the better delis in Harlem and The Bronx. It was kind of soggy and salty. I might try more of the subs at some point, but I really think of this as a one dish place for now, in spite of their long menu. I think it's hard to express just how happy I am to have this place a short drive from me. The cost to obtain one of my favorite foods from my home in Toledo went down from about $500 and several hours of travel (the price of a round-trip flight to LaGuardia plus one night in a hotel in Queens) down to about $15 and a 10 minute drive.

Was it worth $11.29 for a small smoked turkey breast sandwich and mac & cheese meal? Honestly…read more.. no. I originally stopped in thinking this might be more of a coffee shop so I could grab a snack and coffee while pumping gas--kill two birds with one stone. From the outside--and even inside--it's aesthetically appealing and looks like a great spot. But the experience didn't quite match that first impression. The food itself didn't hit the mark in the taste factor--nothing terrible, just not memorable or worth the price in my opinion. That said, I'm open to trying other menu items because maybe I just didn't order the right thing. Customer service was pretty average--nothing to complain about, but nothing that stood out either. Overall, it didn't hit the mark this time, but I'd consider giving it another shot.

Been here recently/last year three times, which has a refreshed look compared to the past. They have a variety of options with hot deli style sandwiches as a base, but have soups/salads as well as calzones, pizza, and flatbreads. If you have a sweet tooth, Cinnabon products are available as well as cookies and brownies. Breakfast is also available with breakfast sandwiches, burritos and tacos. The food quality is pretty good and a nice option to standards like McDonald's and Arbys etc. Cost seems higher for what it is, but to be fair in the past year (2025-2026) prices seem to be soaring due to tariffs and other economic issues. Food quality is not bad, but not a stand out either. Soups seem to be one of the better options. Service seems so so for friendliness as well as speed. The environment is OK, again not a standout. New look but has an "Empty Sterile" nervous vibe. Overall, OK especially if you need a break from the standard fast food chains noting the prices for McDonald's and others has skyrocketed and service and over all experience has been on the decline, putting Schlotzskys well positioned for fast food. Managing my bias here as I almost never eat fast food unless there is a need such as short on time or thats all thats available. Go ahead, worth a try if you are in the market for fast food and tired of the typical places.
