Every single staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and incredibly personable. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome it truly feels like you're part of the family when you're there. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the experience. The farm has that charming small-business feel that's hard to find these days, and it's clear that they genuinely care about their guests and their community. I found this place on a drive and boy am I glad that I found Russo's!!! The smell of fresh Apple cider donuts wafting out of the bakery as they are being made right before your eyes!! I couldn't resist and bought the freshest bag. They also have amazing fresh and local produce. I purchased a beautiful mum from here. What a cute little store! Their main farm is across the street. Very friendly service, fresh produce, and a great bakery! Everyone recommended that their apple cider donuts were the best in the area, so we came here while exploring the town. And guess what, they were amazing! They could have been fresher, but we went at the end of the day. They had a ton of other items for sale. They had trees for Christmas, as well as ornaments and other items associated with it. They had a ton of seasonal items for your lawn, like signs and displays etc. The store goes on and on! As soon as you walk into the main entrance, there is a book where people leave memories of the owner that passed away recently. They have a nice candy section as well as chocolate and ice cream! They had a bakery in a little nook. I got some 3 berry cake loaf, as well as some donuts and cider donuts. Cake loaf was amazing! Donuts were decent, but the cider donuts were great! I did not have time to check out the whole store, but I did notice fresh milk cheese eggs and meats for sale as well. If you are nearby, I highly recommend coming here for some basic needs or kitchy seasonal items. read more

Love love love Russo's! I am grateful that this is my local, farmers market and really love the fresh baked goods they have available every day, as well as a good selection of fruit and vegetables. The apple cider donuts are soft and delicious, and the marble bread loaf is one of my secret weapons when we have company over, to serve with appetizers. The family and closet employees who operate Russo's on a day-to-day basis are also a nice bunch, with welcoming smiles every day, even when things get a little crowded on the weekends. read more

I've been coming to Russo's for over 20 years. It's a very cute place. They've expanded over the years to include cute home furnishings, good soaps, and their own seasonal apples are always a favorite. We particularly love their apple cider donuts, but I have to say the lady who hands them out is so grumpy! She refuses to give the hot donuts every single time you ask. Today I was rudely laughed at by another employee who overheard me asking for the hot donuts. She said, "trust us ma'am we know which ones are warm." I just don't understand why it's so difficult to give the hot fresh donuts that just came out of the fryer versus the ones that have been sitting cooling on the tray. If I wanted the cool ones I would get the ones in the box. This is the only bakery I've ever been to where you can not pick the specific pastry you want and in fact you are told No. I'm always a bit shocked by the customer service in the bakery. My family comes to Russo's all year for fresh fruit, vegetables, and of course, the pastries. You walk into Russo's and the smell of the bakery greets you. You can peruse the aisles and find fresh New Jersey cranberries, blueberries etc. (season permitting). Their apple cider donuts are also locally famous. I live in NYC now, and I have yet to try an apple cider donut as good as Russo's. Also very good are their crumb cakes. While not my favorite dessert, their crumb cake would convert anyone. Now that it's Thanksgiving , we order our pies ahead of time to pick-up. When we pick them up, they are still warm! The only thing I would recommend with pre-ordering is double-checking your pie orders. Last year, we were mistakingly given an Apple pie instead of a pecan pie. I went back a few days later and they happily gave us the pecan pie, without any questions. Everything you would hope to see in a local, family business. read more

Russo's is all about tradition. They've been around for decades. They're a mainstay in the Pinelands. They're a family business. If you know anything about Tabernacle at all, then you know about Russo's and their rep of serving the area with quality crops. Awhile back, I spent quite a bit of time out in Tabernacle and subsequently would find myself at Russo's door every now and again. They didn't disappoint with their offering of fruits, veggies, baked goods and other products. They're pretty friendly too. Last weekend I made it back out for a visit, which is rare these days. The Cranberry Fest was happening in Chatsworth, but Russo's was still drumming up quite the business. Their whole lot was full! We were lucky to get a parking spot. They also benefit from having a great location. They're right across from the municipal complex (which resembles an old house) and is near the old cemetery and Nixon's General Store. Aka: They're right in the heart of town! Man, Tabernacle is such a gem. I'd say Russo's is worth the stop if you're, for whatever reason, in the area. read more

A woman at the checkout counter was visibly flushed, sweating, and her eyes were red. I left the space and then asked for a manager and was told to go back inside to find them. I explained that one of their staff was sick and did not wish to go back on, and I was met with a look of disdain. After pressuring her, she called the manager but no one was available. It became apparent that I would be waiting a long tome, so I just asked if she could communicate to the manager that he ought to take the temperature of their staff, and then I left. I was not taken seriously. The severity of this issue was not taken seriously. I'm never shopping there again. read more

We've been coming to Russo's annually on our way to Long Beach Island for nearly 15 years. Part of the tradition is to get the wonderful, baked on premises, apple cider donuts. They are delectable. Located at the famous crossroads, it is 100% operated, worked and staffed by members of the family, all ages there warm and welcoming. There is accessible parking in the front, that makes it easier for handicapped, seniors and parents with young ones to enter and exit safely. Russo's offers 70% their own farm grown fresh fruit and vegetables. Strawberries, tomatoes, cukes, corn, peaches, apples, watermelon, etc. in a open air setting. For fun (and fitness) there's seasonal 'pick your own' from berries to pumpkins! Their superb jams, butters, and baked goods, (fruit breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, pies & yes the FAMOUS APPLE CIDER donuts ) are made on premises daily. (try my fave, their marble cake ). Their garden center is fantastic. They have a full assortment of seasonal annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, veggie plants and supplies from Easter til Christmas when holiday evergreens and decorations abound. Russo's is closed for Winter. As memories of family and childhood grow fonder, Russo's remains my little place with a big heart. (The 'good old days' aren't gone.. they're at Russo's. Be careful--they "palm" some fruits/vegetables off as their own--they are NOT! Be careful what you buy! Prices went up from last year. Pies are DELICIOUS and worth the price. But be careful with some fruit pies like the peach pie--they must use canned peaches in that one.Ask them when you buy a pie if the fruit is fresh or canned. Pies are $12.00 up--so ask. read more

Update on a former review. I tried all the produce and it is good. Corn was outrageously good. Tomatoes also excellent and the beans good. peaches were ok I have had better. Baked goods also very good. If in the area I would stop again but not going out of my way to go there. Keeping the rating the same as it is pricy. This is a very expensive spot and the white peaches and plums are tasteless and gummy. For conventional peaches $2.99/lb. and a quart basket of plums $7.99. It would be OK if they were good, but awful tasteless and watery. Don't know how any could rate this as anything above 1 star. The vegetables--peppers looked stale and peaches and plums are absolutely awful. I would not go to the trouble of shopping here again; it's like a tourist trap. Tasteless, expensive peaches and plums; stale looking peppers and expensive jams. Stay away. read more

Used to love this place but unfortunately the rudeness has turned me off for good. When the college/ high school kids are working in the summer they are pleasant but once they go back to school the miserable women who don't even want to look at you or say "How are you?" are left to work there. I don't like to give my business to people who make me feel weird for walking in the store and give nasty looks. It's really a shame because I did like their produce and all and would stop here almost weekly but I have found another local farm market that have friendly staff and great produce and baked goods. read more

So disappointed. I've been blueberry picking a dozen times in Tabernacle and it's always been a great experience. But Russo's says you must pick a minimum of 10 lbs! Really? That's so messed up. And they have no fruits or veggies at the picking area-that's so beat! read more

This was the first time my Husband and I stopped in at this market. Its one of those places that you drive by a thousands times and never think to stop. This time we did. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel unwelcomed not one employee said hello or even acknowledge our presence. At first we thought that they were closed because there were no lights on threw the entire store. That made it very hard to see anything. The prices on most of the Christmas items were extremely overpriced. And the small bakery that is within the store was depressing to say the least. The room was dark and dingy and made everything less appetizing. They did have a sale on Fall and Halloween items so I picked up a few things. When I was getting ready to check out it was mass confusion there is a Hugh checkout counter that was filled with paperwork making it hard to put anything on the counter.
