We were lucky enough to have this place recommended to us by the owner of the campsite we were staying at. The food, service and atmosphere here were so great, we had dinner there both nights! The outdoor seating area in large, with lots of distance between the tables, and is dog friendly! You wait in line to order your food and they bring it out to you. There's also a bar outside for drinks. We ordered wings both nights. We consider ourselves wing aficionados, and these were among some of the best we've ever had. Not too saucy, crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside. We also had the tri tip sandwich that comes with bleu cheese and horseradish. The meat was sooooooo tender, and the toppings made it really flavorful. The hamburger and chicken pesto sammich were also great. They have a wonderful beer selection with local cider offered as well. All of the employees we interacted with were really friendly! We will be back every time we come to town! read more

We saw this place as highly rated online, then found out that it's been on DDD a bunch of times and one of Guy Fieri's favorites! The inside area is pretty small, but they have a huge outdoor space with a bunch of big tables and some grassy areas with horseshoes and cornhole. The NorCal beer selection was pretty good and the food was all excellent! The ribs had a super sweet raspberry BBQ sauce, though the ribs were a bit low on meat. The tri tip sandwich was excellent on a big fluffy bun with a nice creamy (spicy, but not too spicy) horseradish sauce. The prime rib dip was similar with a nice au jus dip. The pulled pork was lean and tasty and had a great sweet & smoky housemade BBQ sauce on it. But the star of the show were the wings. We got 20 in the buffalo sauce with ranch and blue cheese dressings and they were gigantic wings with a ton of juicy meat on them and a lot of drippy sauce (just the way I like it!). She snottily added "the wait is about 40 minutes right now too". Way to discourage business, lady. I asked if I could order if I wasn't going to pick it up for an hour and she snapped "no. My four friends and I decided to have dinner at Russian River Pub on August 3, 2024. I have eaten there several times before, and the pulled pork sandwich is absolutely awesome. We checked in with the hostess in the patio area and were told it would be about a 15 minute wait. After about 5 minutes waiting in the dirty parking lot, I told the guys that I wanted to see the garden area and rest of the property. They followed me into the patio area and we were immediately yelled at by the bartender, "What! You think you can just walk in here?" I tried to explain that we had already checked in with the hostess and just wanted to see the property. The hostess turned to the bartender and confirmed that we were waiting on a table. The bartender NEVER apologized or recognized her error. We IMMEDIATELY left for another restaurant in Guerneville! read more

Eating out with an active toddler while on vacation can be tough on you, the restaurant, and other patrons. Not only does the Russian River Pub have a large yard for kids to run about, the food is also great and thoroughly unfussy (i recommend their wings) . On top of that, the abject terror the average parent faces while chasing a toddler away from their attempts at self-immolation, and other harm is softened considerably by a moderate amount of self medication via the solid beer list. The staff was also super kind and understanding. The best! It's also really close to a swim beach (sunset beach river park). 10/10. Highly recommend. read more

Servings time we came for bloody marys and wings on a Sunday in August and they told us it would be 45 minutes for food so we just got the Mary's. They were just okay. I was really looking forward to trying this place but I was really disappointed in the service and food. The service started out great but got worse as it got busier. What you would think would be a hour long dinner turned into 2.5 hours due to waiting on slow cooks and poor service. It took 20 minutes to just get the check and another 20 to ring us up. The food sounded great based on the menu but the chicken wings were so over cooked that the meat was extremely dry and burnt. Also the tri tip sandwich was nothing to write home about. We were out at Korbel this late morning for a tasting, and have been wanting to swing by the Russian River Pub for a meal. We ordered hot wings, kids corn dog, cheese sticks, and some fry's, with a couple of adult beverages. We sat out back in the lawn area. The tables all have umbrellas, and the weather out today was awesome. The wings were the right spice, not to hot, and not wanting more. My daughter devoured the corn dog, and the cheese sticks and fry's were good. Staff was awesome, and answered any questions you may have about the menu. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stop, have a drink, some food, and sit outside for a bit!!! I'll be back!!! read more

Visited for the first time Easter Sunday and had the best Prime Rib dip sandwich ever. French dip sandwiches are my favorite, so i have plenty to base this on. The food and service was great. Drinks and food were reasonably priced. They have plenty of outside seating, however I would suggest getting some portable AC units, fans, misters, something... because there is hardly any shade and this weekend was in the 90s and we were dying out there. The servers were also sweating a ton so I'm sure they might appreciate the convenience of a form of relief from the heat. The reason I am giving one star is because of something that happened with my son. He is on the autism spectrum and is very fascinated by cleaning products, cans, basically anything with a colorful label on it. He was overstimulated and was running around trying to look at everything out on the patio when he saw a cooler near the bar with cans. I was trying to quietly redirect him back to the table without making a scene when he saw the cooler and was pointing at it telling me about the cans. I was trying to encourage him to come with me when a short female employee behind the bar with spiky pink hair went to get into the cooler and aggressively said, "YOU CANT BE BACK HERE!" And literally touched my sons chest/shoulder to force him to take steps back. I was stunned. First, never place your hands on someone else's child. Second, don't talk to my four year old when I am right there. Say it to me. I quickly grabbed him and and led him back to the table and told my group what happened. It completely ruined the rest of my meal and I felt horrible that someone had treated my son like that. He wasn't behind the bar. He wasn't touching your stuff. He wasn't doing anything with ill intent. He was literally just showing me that you had cans and then we were going to move on. I hope that me leaving this review can help this establishment and it's employees learn to treat others with more respect, no matter how old they are. You never know what someone might be dealing with. My son doesn't understand that he can't be near a bar. He doesn't understand why someone pushed him back and reprimanded him. The kind thing to do would have been to say, "Sorry, but he can't be near here." or if she absolutely needed to speak to him she could have kindly said, "Sorry buddy, but you can't be over here." I don't care if she was busy. I don't care if she was stressed. I don't care if she had a horrible day. All of that is irrelevant. It takes two seconds to be kind and even better, it costs nothing. I have mixed feelings about this place, as I have some good memories coming out to eat with my family pre-covid, but the service has really gone downhill and so has the quality of the food. One time I called in asking to place a take out order and the woman who answered the phone was so rude, telling me they were "wayyyyyyyy too busy" to be taking my phone order and that I needed to place the order in person and then just hung up on me. I tried them again later on and we waited so long for our food only to find a long thick HAIR in my beef sandwich that really put me off for good. I've always loved the pub and everyone there. Unfortunately I guess due to the Covid things have gone down hill and prices have skyrocketed. 58$ for 2 pub burgers and some fish and chips. Silly me to think they still came with everything a pub burger is suppose to have. Not to mention my fish was not throughly cooked at all and I was charged extra for avocado and was given none. I asked for ketchup, ranch and malt vinegar and was also given none. Unfortunately I will not be going back and that saddens me. read more

Our closest restaurant. Made more popular by Guy Fieri as he stopped here to get his flavor town fix on Diner, Drive Ins and Dives. It's not a place we typically frequent except when we have guests over. The service has always been nice. They have a nice outdoor seating area and a small seating area inside. They have an outdoor bar. A decent selection of beers. The tri-tip blue cheese sandwich is the go-to. Not sure the Prime Rib sandwich is worth the extra money. Guests have also had the crab cake sandwich which they enjoyed. Onion rings are delicious! I wasn't a fan of their wings. Cons: Sometimes the food for takeout comes cold (I.e. onion rings, fries). I think the logistics can be improved so all the food comes out hot. It wasn't a case of not getting there in time. Pub's Back! We actually preferred the Covid-Era order at the window and then find a seat system...granted this may not work when they are busier. Full menu was available including 20+ local beers on tap. Be warned: pitchers are currently being served in two, 1 quart paper soup containers...might be better to just order your beers as singles and not waste so much paper.
