Someone broke a class object while we were in the store and they quickly cleaned it up and didn't make the person feel bad. I particularly loved the retro tricycle and scooter! Prices might be higher than a big box store but not overly expensive. Some of the merchandise was priced in-line with what I've seen elsewhere. It was a delightful time strolling through the aisles. But even better, she helped me how to figure out how to wear what i already own, and do a better job of layering. She also recommended some things that were missing from my wardrobe. I now have 35 pictures of outfits form my closet, so instead of trying to figure out what to wear, I can choose from a collection of fabulous outfits chosen by Jill. She left me with a list of key items to purchase that was very specific and fit my style. A *really* nice one, that I'd had my eye on even before the pandemic hit, so I knew exactly what I wanted when I called the store. I was told "Good news! We have it available in our San Francisco warehouse." After I said I wanted it, I was emailed a credit card authorization form which I filled out and returned. I was sent a receipt. Fast forward three weeks to June 22nd. I email the salesperson asking about my order. He wrote back that "Your order is arriving within the lead time that I provided to you (1 - 3 Weeks) when you placed the order back on June 8th." Hmm. Another week goes by. No word. On July 1st I get an email saying "The shipping company just informed me a couple minutes ago that they have a new delivery schedule for Monday 07/06/2020 to drop off the shipment to SF/BAY RECEIVING WAREHOUSE FACILITY." And asking if I'm available to take delivery on the 7th. Of course nothing arrived on the 7th. On the 8th, I get a call telling me the pallet my is order on has been lost. On the 10th I get a call saying it's been found, and will I be available on the 14th? I am so over this BS. When I drop over $2,000 on a piece of furniture, I expect to have it in my possession in a REASONABLE amount of time. At this point (6 weeks) the amount of time has become unreasonable. It sucks because I really wanted that desk - I've been working from a fold up card table. But at least the card table is reliable...and actually IN MY HOME.
