Tolma: grape leaves with pork and beef
    David K.

3.5 stars There are so many Georgian restaurants in Warsaw, and Rusiko is definitely one of the most refined. The atmosphere in the restaurant is elegant, the service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices definitely reflect the trendiness of this establishment. After being seated and given a few tastes of Georgian wine, we were brought a free appetizer of a carrot/walnut mixture with lavash bread. We also ordered the "Flavours of Georgia" appetizer, a sampler plate of six different cold appetizers--each of the four pkhali dips were made of a combination of walnuts and some vegetable: one with beets, one with leeks, one with spinach, and one with red bean. There was also an eggplant slice wrapped around another walnut paste, and a piece of pickled red pepper stuffed with sheep milk cheese. Everything was served with thin lavash bread (which also came with a tomato/eggplant sauce), and every item was so distinctive and tasty! For our entree, we ordered the tolma, which were grape leaves with a pork/beef filling, served with a mint yogurt on the side. The fillings inside these grape leaves were warm and hearty, and the yogurt added a nice cooling element! Overall, while everything we had was good (and the service extremely hospitable), the prices were pretty exorbitant for the tiny portion sizes, and I don't think I'd rush back to try more.

This was the first time I went to a Georgian restaurant. I was planning to go to one in NY but unfortunately it was closed. When I found this restaurant close to our hotel in Warsaw I wanted to go and didn't regret it. Good service, the lady who was serving us was very nice. Good food with a good taste. I liked the crystal glass for water, hard to find in states. The appetizers were awesome. Thank you! Finally I found the pictures I made and attaching to this review. Edited for adding some photographs.

A classy but not fussy or formal Georgian restaurant. Atmosphere seemed both conducive to family and romance. They had a decent command of English and service was pretty good. They started me off with a sparkling wine aperitif that was fantastic. The meal seemed to include a pickled cabbage that was interesting. The eggplant stuffed with walnuts (5/5) was phenomenal. The pomegranate seeds really made it bright and helped the flavor pop in your mouth. The bean soup (4/5) was perfect for a cold day and filling. The Georgian dumplings (4/5) - were much larger than I expected and were juicy. The staff was nice enough to explain to eat it with your hand holding the top. It was very different than Chinese xiao long bao soup dumplings though I did prefer the Chinese way better (I'm biased). It was still worth trying and I'd be happy to eat it again. I think the meat inside was lamb as it had a strong taste.

Wow! Delicious and unique food at awesome prices! Just had half of the Khachapuri, a "classic Georgian pie served with three types of cheese", imagine a delicious blend of cheesy, garlicky, sour creamy goodness inside a pizza pie dough! Delicious wine and beer. Now onto the Khinkali main dish which came with the waiter very nicely giving Georgian eating instructions for the "3 traditional Georgian meat dumplings with stock inside"! Whoa!! The Khinkali are flavor bombs! Yummm! Great and unique food, great service and great prices!!

1/2 chicken with walnut sauce is perfect. And the tour of Georgia appetizer is really good. Lamb Kebab is also good. Be wary that everything has a little heat-which is great for me but doesn't suit everyone's pallet. Cute atmosphere but nothing special. Good service. Great wine selection but only one beer.

Absolutely just fantastic food. I have nevert tried Georgian food earlier and had a great experience today! The spinach hazlenuts was brilliant, and so was the pie with cheese and the kubdari pastry with lamb and beef. We had not booked a table but could sit at the bar, thank God! The chefs seemed to have a good time cooking and the waiters were nice. Make sure you book a table! Now :)

We arrived about an hour before closing and still got good service, waiter was very helpful and advised us on the amount of food we should take. The food was great. Had a great time

This is a casual but tasteful place for dinner. The food was very good but the service I got wasn't too good which is why I netted out on 3 stars only. Perhaps this is only for non-polish speaking customers but the server was not attentive at all. I sat for a while and no one asked if I wanted a drink, came to take my order or asked if I had any questions. Same was true after I finished my main course... No questions about dessert, bill, etc... Even though they were walking by and not particularly busy by this time. When I asked about dishes, the responses were extremely short. At least the food was good but I certainly didn't feel very welcomed.

This was our second experience with Georgian food and our first visit to Rusiko. We started with a cold dish with slices of eggplant stuffed with some kind of walnut spread, I don't know exactly what it was but it was nicely prepared and full of flavor to accompany this we had a kind of pizza with four cheeses, very yummy! My wife ordered a dish with 5 large prawns in a buttery orange sauce, wonderful flavors, the waiter offered some fresh Georgian bread to soak up the yumminess of the buttery sauce. I ordered a plate of traditional dumplings from Georgia, filled with a delicious blend of meats and some kind of soup stock, moist and full of flavor, wonderfully seasoned. We shared a nice salad with our meal. This was a very pleasant experience, the food was tasty, the restaurant was in a nice large space and was very clean. If you have not had food from Georgia before or even if you have I would highly recommend a visit to Rusiko!

What a sight for the weary and voraciously hungry individuals craving a hearty meal! We had first come to know a bit about Georgian cuisine during our last year's visit to Wroclaw, as there was a Georgian street food restaurant we tried. We knew that we were in for a treat! The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated. I loved that they had comfortable booths with nice cushions to sit in or tables with chairs if you prefer. We opted for a booth and we had ample space for all the food we ordered! Our server (I regret not knowing her name), from Georgia, was very friendly and helpful and took time to explain what the menu items we were curious about were. There are pictures for each item on the menu but for the English speaker, the ingredients may be a mystery. She was very patient and offered suggestions for us which we appreciated. After deliberating, we settled on a few types of casserole dishes, typical bread, and the Georgian style pierogis (yes, that is what they are called on the menu). The casserole styled meals (in a hot piece of pottery fresh out the oven) come with a puffy hollow round bread to sop up the goodness, I'd imagine. The dishes all had complex spice profiles, were tasty, and seemed to have quality ingredients. The casseroles were loaded with a thick toping of glorious cheese. The man helping us at the end of our meal spoke limited English but could understand us just fine and was friendly and helpful! The restaurant itself had a nice feel to it and the WC was very clean. In addition, patrons of the restaurant were very amiable and greeted us. I highly recommend this place. Go try something new or out of your comfort zone. I enjoyed the ambiance and my experience here very much. **Note, its on a semi-main road where the metro travels (above ground) and we were on foot so I do not know about parking) I do know Line 26 goes here.
