The first quote I received was the price of a small, used car to repair a freeze damaged underground water line to my shop. The break was within 1 foot of where it daylighted from underground. At the price quoted, I was debating whether to repair it at all. I then got a quote from MV Plumbing, and it was 15.8% the amount of the other. That is not a typo, or 15.8% discount over the other quote, it was literally 1/6th the amount of the other company. Not sure if they used a different approach to the work or not. They showed up at 8:00 AM, and left at 8:50 AM, so you know they did not misquote the work to be done. I had installed a water meter, so could immediately verify the repair was proper and not leaking. Anyway, this is my 'Go To' plumbing company for sure, and another lesson in why we all need to get more than one quote whenever possible.

Once Ryan arrived, he was extremely helpful and clearly determined to resolve the slow drain in our kitchen. He walked us through a few possible approaches and immediately got to work. After some diligent effort using a drain snake followed by his high‑powered water flushing equipment, the clog was finally cleared. Ryan also took the time to leave us with helpful tips on how to prevent future buildup, especially regarding cooking oils that had hardened inside the pipes. That extra guidance was much appreciated. Our home had the original galvanized pipes from 1967. This which meant that the pipes were flaking (potentially a health hazard) and had a lot of mineral deposits - making the water pressure pretty bad. Baldeep and his team came in quickly and had a clear plan that reduced the amount of demo'ing they needed to do. Everyone was very nice, professional, organized, and did a good job following covid-safety protocol. I can now highly recommend Vortex for both big and medium-sized jobs. -- Vortex did a great job replacing our kitchen drain pipe too: We noticed water leaking in bubbles in our drywall ceiling, opened it up, and realized the entire drain pipe needed to be replaced...stat. In addition, I had to have them come out to look at a leak that occurred in the same system after they left. Since I couldn't 100% prove it was them that caused the leak even though it was in the same part they had been working on the day before I paid a token "call out fee". I subsequently found out that their idea of full service was a lessor service and contacted them for a refund to a more reasonable rate for the service they provided as well as a full refund of the leak service because they were only there for 15 minutes. The lady in the office offered me a refund of $600 and said the check would be in the mail. That was a few months ago, I've called and asked and they said they would get back to me. I've never dealt with a business that promised a refund and didn't deliver. I would not recommend doing business with this plumbing company.
