As I walked inside the restaurant, a team member had greeted us and let us know that it was open seating. There were only a few other customers inside the restaurant at the time we had dinner. There was plenty of tables inside and outside the restaurant though! TVs were situated throughout the restaurant. There was a variety of sports games playing. When we sat at our table, the team member brought over menus and asked if we'd like anything to drink while we looked through the menu. She also went through any dietary restrictions and some of their highlights at the restaurant, specifically, Smoke & Fire is known for their blueberry chicken sandwich. There are other options on their menu though, like BBQ items! Meat platters: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Ribs, Hot Links, smoked Chicken Quarters. Sandwiches: Chicken Sandwiches, Brisket Sandwich, Donut Smashed Burger (Seasonal), Sliders Chicken and Waffles, Street Style Tacos, Chicken Tenders and more! After looking through the menu, we ultimately decided on the following 3 Meat Platter: Pulled Chicken, Pulled Pork, and Brisket with Mac N Cheese/Sweet Potato Tots The World Famous Blueberry Chicken Sandwich: Pepper Jack Cheese, Housemade Blueberry Jam, blueberry aioli, and Jalapeno. The service was super quick. I don't think we waited longer than 10 minutes for our meal. It was nice that our meal was served in to go containers as well! The highlight of the meal was the blueberry chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and tender. The blueberry aioli and the jam was scrumptious. This was a first time having a sandwich like this before! I would come back to Smoke & Fire just to get the sandwich. The BBQ pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket was good. I enjoyed the mac n cheese and the sweet potato tots though! I don't normally see sweet potato tots so I just had to try it out! They were super crispy and packed with flavor. Service was attentive and good throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food was where the experience fell short. I ordered the steak and eggs and requested my steak medium. I actually ordered it that way intentionally because, historically, diner-style restaurants tend to overcook steaks a little, so I figured I would end up somewhere around medium-well. Unfortunately, my steak arrived well overcooked, dry, and disappointing. The hash browns that came with my breakfast also tasted like they had been frozen rather than freshly prepared. My colleague ordered the Green Chilaquiles with Carne Asada and had a similar experience. Her carne asada was also overcooked and dry, and the chilaquiles themselves were quite dry, with only a small amount of green sauce. She did say the beans were tasty, so those were a bright spot. They also offer a few different mimosa flights, which I thought was a fun and unique idea. We tried them but didn't particularly care for the flavors...that part may simply come down to personal preference rather than anything being wrong with the drinks. Pricing was moderate, but considering the quality of the food we received, I didn't feel the experience offered particularly good value. The service was attentive, parking was plentiful, and the mimosa flights were a creative touch. Unfortunately, with both of our main dishes coming out dry and overcooked, I don't see myself returning for breakfast.

When our waitress came to check on us, bc we had gotten our food, she noticed I was a bit upset & asked if everything was okay, I disclosed that everything was fine but my mom had just passed away & it was my birthday so the day was tough. She left & came back & said for me to pick out a dessert (standard practice). A few minutes go by & another waitress comes to the table & lets me know that our entire bill had been covered by the restaurant manager. I made sure to tip the age of my mom ($65) & thanked them immensely. I was not looking for a discount, for a comped meal or anything of the sorts. But they went above & beyond to do something nice for me in a time where my world was dark. I will forever be thankful & will continue to frequent.
