Brussels Sprouts
Sydney N.

My mom and I stopped in here after a long day walking around Ridgedale, and it's a hidden treasure! It's in a little nook on the second floor of Nordstrom, it feels like an upscale cafe! Very good vibes for a quick brunch or lunch - I wish I came here with girlfriends and ordered little spritzes and apps. Service was great - very fast and our server was super attentive. We were in and out in about 30ish minutes, but we could've stayed if we wanted to! The hostess was incredibly sweet and kind, really stood out. For food, we started with the Brussels Sprout appetizer. It was delicious! The sprouts were perfectly roasted and crisp, and the spiced cashews were a great addition. I loved that this was a step away from the usual goat cheese and honey brussels sprout starters. We also split the Turkey Club - even better that they split it and the side salad for us! The salad was light and crisp, nothing too crazy but tasty. The club was delicious, packed with turkey and avocado, plus the bread was perfectly toasted. I'll be back next time I'm at Ridgedale!

This location is a hidden treasure. It has a very upscale feel to it while the location is set in a mall. The food is pretty good and the staff is very friendly. There is a great window view if you sit by it and it's nice and quiet. We only ran into one issue which was the cooks fault and not anyone else's. My wife ordered a sandwich without avocado because she is allergic. When the order came our server noticed that it had avocado on it as he set it down. He quickly apologized and took it back. The cooks in the back just wiped it off the sand which and sent it back out. When we received it there was still smeared avocado on the sandwich where the cooks knife didn't get it off. I asked for them to remake it because it still had the avocado on it lol. Other than the lazy cook the location and staff was great

Great food and service. We were there for Mothers Day and it was wonderful. Terrific food! Cant wait to go back.

Chicken Parm Baguette

Hidden in the back of Nordstrom is a reasonable all-around eatery in Ruscello. It's a very nice, quaint little venue with a small but suitable menu. Service was very prompt, and we started with the Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata. This was a fantastic, light starter that I would order on any repeat visit! From there, I tried the Chicken Parm Sandwich. It was nothing I'd write home about but tasted almost exactly like you'd expect if you put Chicken Parm on a sandwich. Which is good because that's basically exactly what it is. I personally thought the burger tasted better. The fries were also quite good, especially paired with their garlic aioli. All in all, Ruscello is a nice little find in the Ridgedale area that you wouldn't really expect. Don't expect food that blows you away, but prompt service, reasonable prices, and dishes that get you by especially for lunch.

Stopped in for a bite to eat while out taking calendar photos in the area. It was hotter than blazes outside and was a nice change to see the outdoors from our perch in the Nordstorm's restaurant. We opted to split salads - a great tip from the server! Both were refreshing and different than the standard salad fare at most places. I could see this being a good location for ladies who lunch...

Shrimp and Arugula Sweet Corn Salad
Gabi S.

Made a stop while shopping at Ridgedale for a light lunch at Ruscello. The two salads we ordered were both delicious. Between the salmon salad and the shrimp and arugula sweet corn salad, both were delicious! The dressing on the salmon salad made more of an impact, but I loved the polenta croutons of the shrimp Salad. Both of the fish on top were prepared well! I ended the meal full without finishing my salad (possibly due to the bread to start). The dining area is also quite lovely & charming. The people scene is perhaps on the older side, but the drink menu caters to that. If you're looking for a healthy sit down option in Ridgedale, or simply the area, stop in.

Delicious salmon Niçoise salad (bite missing)
Alex L.

Delicious Niçoise salad. The salmon is slathered with a generous blanket of herbs that keeps the fish nice and moist. Roasted potatoes are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's a highly proficient and flavorful salad. They are pretty stingy with the bread. The basket contains just one tiny piece of bread, even smaller than the lump of butter. But don't try to ask for more - they actually have a policy against that. The server said it takes 10 minutes for them to heat up each piece of bread, and only after I prove that I've finished eating that first itty bitty piece, is she allowed to accept a request to put a second chunk in the oven. I have never heard anything so absurd. Four stars for the salad. You'll have to bring your own bread.

Niscoise Salad

I stopped for lunch the day Nordstroms opened. It was pretty full already at 11:30 a.m. and decided to sit at the bar (it's open seating there). It was the first day for them and staff seemed overwhelmed already but my server was attentive and was able to talk through the drink menu well. I decided to order the vine street (refreshing + delish) and the nicoise salad (nice sized salmon, very flavorful). The food was outstanding and service was good. When I left at about 12:30 there was an hour wait for a table. I'm only giving 4 stars to give them a chance to iron out the kinks. I will definitely be back to both Ruscello and Nordstroms :).

Copperwing is a working distillery, and the bar is not embellished to whisk you away from that environment. I like that. Copperwing has a place of its own amongst the thousands of drinking holes in the Twin Cities. You're imbibing in a distillery, but at a bar with a mixology and a bites menu. The cocktail list is interesting, and what I drank was delicious. I also drank shots of some of the different booze Copperwing produced. (It was a lot of liquor. The next two days were rough, and stupidly, we went to another distillery afterwards. I will never learn, and I'm 75 years old.) Liquor is like wine. We all have different tastes and palates. I liked one of Copperwing's vodkas, but not the other. Several of their offerings have won national awards. That's something everyone in Minneapolis can be proud of. Jack was our bartender, and he was gracious and accommodating. I will return to Copperwing Distillery soon, but will drink with more wisdom, sticking to one kind of booze and will drink lots of water.

It's the kind of space where you want to get dressed up just to sit in it. Truly one of the most beautifully designed dining rooms in the Twin Cities. The staff was also really helpful when it came to navigating gluten and dairy preferences, which I always appreciate. Good cocktail options and great presentation in nice glassware. The Parker House rolls were the clear table favorite, served with three different spreads that were all worth trying. The Brussels sprouts were divine and the beef tenderloin was good, though the portion felt a little small for the price. The short rib special was amazing, but they weren't able to substitute the potatoes for a gluten free option, which meant the dish came out incomplete at full cost. Our waitress was apologetic and lovely about it, but it's not a great touch for a restaurant that otherwise does a nice job acknowledging dietary needs. The Eloise sundae is an absolute must. Done tableside and completely phenomenal.

I've eaten here once before for a special event year prior and the food options were better in my opinion. The small plates got even smaller and more expensive. Not sure if the quality was better on things either. I was with 3 others and we all shared plates. chicken karaage was alright. I liked the crispiness was the sauce was nothing extravagant. Truffle Edamame - best thing I had! The only thing craveworthy that I had. Shrimp taco - smelled fishy but tasted better. I was able to split it into 2 since the shells are so small and the filling worked well in the 2 provided. Crispy rice with spicy tuna - this was fun to do but not as good as we were hoping. It was missing something. Shishito peppers- these were large and many had the seeds. Spicier due to this. Wagyu sushi tacos $24 for the tiny things and it looked like ground wagyu... felt like a cash grab. I didn't eat them but my crew ate 2 and didn't want to eat the last one. Chicken fried rice - good size and really gingery. Not my favorite but it was edible. Better value than other items. The sushi felt like Crave and they were teeny tiny. I didn't enjoy the fishiness so I was one and done. (I normally love seafood) Dessert- we split 2.. the churros and the tres leches. The churros needed some sweetness in the mixture as they were bland. I was hoping for a really good churro and these were just ok. The tres leches wasn't traditional and they should change the name to avoid confusion. They have a better happy hour if you sit at the bar. Our server was able to order us some fries. Despite not being in the bar area. Overall, I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here. The drinks and happy hour, maybe. The cocktail menu was very nice and I tried a few of my friends drinks.

The property is spacious, clean with the appropriate amount of lighting. There is a full bar, and a decent tap list. I'll say there is a LOT of accoutrements in that glass. cheese, shrimp, olives, pickle, and salami(?) if I recall. It was a lot, which was nice, but the star of the show should be the Bloody Mary mix. Here, I felt it fell short, but that is just me. Onto the food - I probably should have stopped at the Bloody Mary, but I was not to be deterred. I ordered the Wagyu Mushroom Burger, and my dining partner ordered the half BLT with a cup of French Onion Soup. The burger was really disappointing. I will say the burger was perfectly made and cooked, but the sauteed mushrooms completely took over the flavor of the burger. Paying a premium price for some ground beef, it should be front and center. I won't order that again. The BLT was wonderful, and everything you'd expect. thick bacon with the right amount of lettuce and tomato, with avocado to add a creamy overtone. The French Onion soup was the best thing we were served. I would come back here again just for that. I would assign this establishment 3 stars, but our server was awesome, so they get an extra star just for this aspect of our dining experience.
