Called to get hose installed and they had to make an appt for me for five days later. Day before my new install date and i havent recieved my service time window. Called home depot and it was canceled. The person i talked to then said they were able to get it rescheduled but if i hadnt heard about a time window to call again. Called once again three hours later and they said they were working on it and would call me with that time window. 10pm i use their text line and they say it can't be rescheduled for tomorrow because it was canceled and they require a 24 hour turn around time. So they messed up, they canceled the fix, they make me make a new fix date. Extremely frustrating and am sharing because it was poor reviews about Lowes that made me chose Home Depot. Keep looking I say.

This is probably one of my favorite Ollie's!…read more The building itself is pretty old, and the store looks pretty bad and cluttered... very messy. But! It's Ollie's, a discount retail store that prides itself in a crazy assortment of stuff (some good, some junk) for really good prices.. and for that they do succeed. I'd rather come into one of these places and get amazing deals if it means they have to cut corners in other areas of running a retail store. I mean some discount retail places are so spic and span that the prices for their merchandise isn't much different than a big box retailer, and sometimes it'll even be MORE expensive. Not at Ollie's. Matter of fact, of all my experiences or Ollie's in 3 different states, their prices have been consistently cheaper. This particular one in Bristol is packed with stuff. And I mean lots and lots of stuff. Wished they were closer to me.

They gave me a discounted price and even delivered all the way out to Johnson City for only 75 dollars! That was in 2020, and since then I had a piece of the sectional break (No fault on them at all). We called to see if they had any idea how we could fix it. They offered to order the parts or to just sell us a new piece for the price they get it for. We opted for replacing that whole side and not only did they deliver it with no additional charge, but they also took out our old broken piece for us. I would 1000% recommend them! Great furniture, great prices, nice staff, and FANTASTIC delivery service!

Upon inquiring about the warranty for the sofa we were told that if anything was wrong that he would ensure that the issue was taken care of and if it could not be corrected he would trade out for a new sofa. After having the sofa for only a couple of months it started breaking down. When we contacted the store manager about this issue we were once again "ASSURED" that he would rectify the issue and if the issue could not be fixed, he would offer a new replacement sofa. This did not happen. While the store manager did try to fix what he thought was the issue it did not work. And now the store manager is not standing behind his words/promise to us. We were told it's up to his regional manager. So bottom line is that his "Promise"/"ASSURANCE" was nothing but puffing (blowing smoke to make a sale). This store is NO LONGER our go to store for furniture. If you tell a customer (or anyone) that you will stand behind the item sold, then honor your words. This is definitely bad customer service and leaves no room for recommendations to others to shop at this store!!

Once it was finally scheduled, we were given a 3-hour delivery window. As that window ended, I received a call from a woman letting me know the drivers were running about 15 minutes behind -- no problem. But 20 minutes later, I had to call back for an update, and was told they were still finishing their previous job and I'd get a text once they were on the way. After waiting over 3 1/2 hours, I finally got a text saying they were 7 minutes away. Twenty minutes later, I got a call from the most unprofessional man I've ever spoken to. He never introduced himself, was difficult to understand, and claimed they couldn't reach us because of a "tunnel" -- which doesn't even exist anywhere near our home. At this point, we had been waiting over 4 hours. I had to call him back to ask if they were still coming, only to be rudely told no. So now, we were left with no mattress, half a day wasted, and zero accountability. When I called customer service, I was redirected to the store itself, where the employee made it clear he didn't care and said he had "four customers in front of him" but would call dispatch later. He never called back. My husband finally called to cancel the order after an hour of hearing nothing, and was told a manager would reach out the next business day. That still hasn't happened. This company has been completely unprofessional from start to finish. We will never shop here again and will make sure others know to avoid this nightmare of an experience.

***100th Review***…read more Over the last week, I've been thinking long and hard about which establishment I want to dedicate my 100th review to. It's a meaningful milestone for me in the Yelp world and I want to choose wisely. I remember reading about the CEO of Yelp, Jeremy Stoppelman, who had the idea for Yelp, Inc initially when he had trouble finding a local doctor in 2004. It comes back to the idea of community, service and sharing and I decided to dedicate my review for this Target store in Bristol, VA. Now I've actually never been to this Target store and my dealing with them is purely by phone. However, they really touched my heart in an above and beyond way and here's how. Last week, the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line launched and I had totally forgotten since I was celebrating my best friend's birthday that day. 2 days later, when I realized that I had forgotten to place the orders for the items I wanted, the online inventory and stores were sparse and it was especially hard to find the one item I really wanted, their large black tote bag with gusset. I called around and went to the local Target stores all around me, none had it and I was quite bummed. I decided to branch out and check inventory elsewhere and came across this store. From the moment I spoke with a store employee I felt the lovely Southern hospitality. Christine, the store manager, was kind and helpful. She had a bag in stock but they were unable to take payment over the phone and I live thousands of miles away. I asked if they could ship it to my local store and she said that it isn't company policy but she can check and get back to me. 2 days later, Christine called me and said she'd be happy to ship the bag to my local store. She said she also emailed all the store managers in that store to make sure they will call me when they receive the bag so it's not accidentally put out on the floor. I was amazed! This level of customer service is really a step above the rest and I am thankful they went to so much trouble to make a customer happy. Thank you, Christine and the crew at Target Bristol! Hopefully one day, I'll be out there for a visit.
