    We have purchased well over $7000k of furniture from this store over the past few years. Recently…read morepurchased a sofa/recliner. Upon inquiring about the warranty for the sofa we were told that if anything was wrong that he would ensure that the issue was taken care of and if it could not be corrected he would trade out for a new sofa. After having the sofa for only a couple of months it started breaking down. When we contacted the store manager about this issue we were once again "ASSURED" that he would rectify the issue and if the issue could not be fixed, he would offer a new replacement sofa. This did not happen. While the store manager did try to fix what he thought was the issue it did not work. And now the store manager is not standing behind his words/promise to us. We were told it's up to his regional manager. So bottom line is that his "Promise"/"ASSURANCE" was nothing but puffing (blowing smoke to make a sale). This store is NO LONGER our go to store for furniture. If you tell a customer (or anyone) that you will stand behind the item sold, then honor your words. This is definitely bad customer service and leaves no room for recommendations to others to shop at this store!!

Once it was finally scheduled, we were given a 3-hour delivery window. As that window ended, I received a call from a woman letting me know the drivers were running about 15 minutes behind -- no problem. But 20 minutes later, I had to call back for an update, and was told they were still finishing their previous job and I'd get a text once they were on the way. After waiting over 3 1/2 hours, I finally got a text saying they were 7 minutes away. Twenty minutes later, I got a call from the most unprofessional man I've ever spoken to. He never introduced himself, was difficult to understand, and claimed they couldn't reach us because of a "tunnel" -- which doesn't even exist anywhere near our home. At this point, we had been waiting over 4 hours. I had to call him back to ask if they were still coming, only to be rudely told no. So now, we were left with no mattress, half a day wasted, and zero accountability. When I called customer service, I was redirected to the store itself, where the employee made it clear he didn't care and said he had "four customers in front of him" but would call dispatch later. He never called back. My husband finally called to cancel the order after an hour of hearing nothing, and was told a manager would reach out the next business day. That still hasn't happened. This company has been completely unprofessional from start to finish. We will never shop here again and will make sure others know to avoid this nightmare of an experience.

    ***100th Review***…read more Over the last week, I've been thinking long and hard about which establishment I want to dedicate my 100th review to. It's a meaningful milestone for me in the Yelp world and I want to choose wisely. I remember reading about the CEO of Yelp, Jeremy Stoppelman, who had the idea for Yelp, Inc initially when he had trouble finding a local doctor in 2004. It comes back to the idea of community, service and sharing and I decided to dedicate my review for this Target store in Bristol, VA. Now I've actually never been to this Target store and my dealing with them is purely by phone. However, they really touched my heart in an above and beyond way and here's how. Last week, the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line launched and I had totally forgotten since I was celebrating my best friend's birthday that day. 2 days later, when I realized that I had forgotten to place the orders for the items I wanted, the online inventory and stores were sparse and it was especially hard to find the one item I really wanted, their large black tote bag with gusset. I called around and went to the local Target stores all around me, none had it and I was quite bummed. I decided to branch out and check inventory elsewhere and came across this store. From the moment I spoke with a store employee I felt the lovely Southern hospitality. Christine, the store manager, was kind and helpful. She had a bag in stock but they were unable to take payment over the phone and I live thousands of miles away. I asked if they could ship it to my local store and she said that it isn't company policy but she can check and get back to me. 2 days later, Christine called me and said she'd be happy to ship the bag to my local store. She said she also emailed all the store managers in that store to make sure they will call me when they receive the bag so it's not accidentally put out on the floor. I was amazed! This level of customer service is really a step above the rest and I am thankful they went to so much trouble to make a customer happy. Thank you, Christine and the crew at Target Bristol! Hopefully one day, I'll be out there for a visit.

    It always feels like home as long as there is a Target close by. Not a large grocery section here…read morebut you will find organic eggs, organic milk and other organic selections. They have the Earth's Best brand kids' meatballs and chicken nuggets which are a staple in our home...unfortunately... Oh you, picky toddlers!! Their wine selections seem a bit overpriced here compared to Food City. A bottle of the newest Barefoot Refresh Summer Red runs $3 more at Target. Who wants to spend $7.99 when you can get it up the hill for $4.99? Certainly not me. Don't let the cheap price tag fool you, that wine is faboosh! On the plus, there's a Starbucks inside.
