Although the staff is friendly and helpful this Bass pro is just meh . They have minimal amounts of things that most other locations have lots of . If you are looking for clothing they lack sizes and option . They push their brand so much here they drop the ball . They do have a good selection of ammo and guns but looking at guns at this location is a pain . read more

Wow...that's all you need to say...apparently this location was scheduled to be a basketball arena...oh well...I couldn't be any happier to see it as a Bass Pro Shop...this place is perfect for all levels of outdoorsmen...even if you don't like the outdoors...there a restaurant and hotel inside... On this particular occasion I was in need of a new lite action fishing rod. AJ from the fly fishing section provided great customer service and assistance in creating my lite action fishing rod and reel purchase. From start to finish AJ was patient and informative in my search for a new fishing rod. I can appreciate great customer service especially when it's done from a natural and genuine environment. I asked AJ if there was anyway I could leave him feedback and I used the survey form but I believe the survey form is inactive however I wanted to make sure that his great customer service was recognized. I've always enjoyed going to Bass Pro Shops. The closest ones to me are at Concord Mills Mall and the one in the Bristol/Kingsport area. I go into the Bristol store multiple times a year while visiting my family, in fact the past few yrs I've done black Friday in the Bristol/Kingsport area with my mom. This year was a different experience. It was nice not having a huge crowd to fight through, however I noticed some things I've never noticed before. My mom has difficulty getting around due to a bad knee and recently a total knee replacement. She was using a motorized wheelchair and the shelves were very close together and not easy to navigate through. This was not just for her but with me also with the cart. So many shelves and racks so close together. Also, the moulding along the floor made it difficult to get into areas both with the wheelchair and my cart. I was continuously having to push shelves back into their original places and I was getting very frustrated trying to navigate the aisles and the raised flooring. The store is always clean and well stocked. I've never had issues on Black Friday before but this year there were a lot of ads that were misleading. My mom is over 60 and sometimes doesn't notice things but when I'm just in my early 40's and I find the ads misleading this is a problem. Multiple items had sale signs but no where did either of us see signs saying the sale price was only for card holders. Why even have a sale if you're going to limit discounts to only the customers with your store credit card. There's no bass pro shops within an hr and half of me so when I go it should be an experience, but at least I know when I go to Academy sports the price shown is the price I'm gonna get. Very disappointed to say the least. I know this is no fault of this personal store but people should know. read more

Review during Covid19 Pandemic: The store requires a mask but when we went in the MAJORITY of customers and some staff members were not wearing their masks or not wearing them correctly. So my family only had a brief visit to the store as we did not feel comfortable staying in there very long as it was crowded. That being said it is a nice store with good inventory with clean restrooms and big fish tank. They have a nice pond outside in the front and near by a little lake with a walking trail. We like our dog can come in the store with us. It's smaller than other Bass Pro Shops we've been too. read more

Like all other Bass Pro's I've been to, this one is spotless, beautiful & there is plenty to gander at. All of the employees we encountered were very friendly & helpful. We picked up several goodies, looked at guns, browsed through archery and the husband attended a trout session.. however, beware of the BlueGreen Vacation sales people - they rope you in by having you fill out a simple form to win a BP gift-card and before you know it, you're handing over your cc for a vacation (which is just a ploy to get you to a timeshare seminar, which I hear they really turn up the heat) - they are rude and unnecessarily pushy ~ if they approach, hightail it in the other direction. read more

Typical big box store. If you are looking for a holster etc you will pretty much be on your own as the staff is busy selling guns or answering questions about guns. As usual the prices are fairly high but generally the quality is good. The staff is knowledgeable. The place stays busy. The restaurant is pricey and the menu is not all that. I hauled my Arctic Cat300 ATV over 25 miles to Bristol, on 10 June 2017. I needed a right hand side cover plate, battery, and wiring repairs. They literally pushed me out the door after I paid them 547.08. The idle had been 'tinkered with. It was so high, that it jerked hard when placed in gear. They bristled when I asked them to fix it back the way it was when I brought it in. They mentioned 3 times it was "time to go home." I paid my ticket @ 3:45 PM. It took me over an hour just to get the bike out of the place. One tech gave me the stink eye, because I was blocking the RHS door. If he would have climbed off of his tractor and assisted me, then I would have been out of his way. Instead, he just sat comfortably, and stared at me. I tried for 5 minutes to start the bike. Finally it started after tinkering with it. I made it abundantly clear: Fix the bike. It will not start. I presume a neutral safety switch was bad. I even asked: don't call me to pick the bike up, until it is properly repaired. I use Bass Pro Shop, because they are an "authorized Arctic Cat dealer." I could see an independent repair shop, but I want the bike fixed by trained "Arctic Cat " personnel. I spent nearly an hour loading, and properly rigging the bike on my trailer. I looked in my rear mirror, before leaving: The front brake cable was "dangling." It was fine, when I brought the bike in? The tech was angry, and pulled the rev/forward knob off of the handle, when I asked him to adjust the idle speed. He made it clear: "IT IS TIME TO GO HOME." I immediately requested the manager "John" when I noticed my cable had been jerked out of the crimp housing. He apologized, but insisted that I return home, then drive another 30 miles again to fix the problem. Forcing me to drive another 60 miles. James called me on Tuesday, to follow up on my problem. He said they would "get back" with me to correct the issue. I am still waiting. Meanwhile, I told him: I will not be back to his business, and I would not suggest that anyone take any equipment to be repaired at this facility. Customer service is something of the past. It is extremely rare to find it anywhere, anymore. Especially at Bass Pro Shops. Could someone suggest a reputable repair shop in the Tri-cities area? Right now, my ATV is useless, after paying over 500 bucks! read more

This is a great place to stop, take the kids, and just look around. Besides the illusion of being under water in the in house restaurant, young kids can look at different types of (plastic) marine life while you eat delicious food. I highly recommend the alligator appetizer and any of the fried fish. The service was amazing and right next door is a bowling alley! The store boasts a ton of outdoor equipment and fun. We decided to stop here on the way to Nashville to see if they had a discontinued kayak. Not only did they have the one we wanted but the sales person, Sandy D. was awesome. Again, she was AWESOME!!! She knew everything about kayaking, the paddles, the life jackets, etc. So glad I didn't purchase any of this on line as I had no idea what was involved and would have screwed it all up. Bought a bass tracker 170 from this location in January and had some issues with my battery. The first time I took it in they found out a fuse had blown and while they replaced it they also changed my oil at no charge. Came in again a few months later worried about my battery not holding a charge. After they looked at it and couldn't find anything wrong with the battery they replaced it with a brand new one just in case for free. The guys in their boat department and servicing department are great guys who give exceptional service. Would definitely recommend buying your boat from this location. The guys in the fishing department are great as well. I wanted to put some electronics on my boat and they pointed me in the right direction and ran me through a tutorial on my new hummingbird unit. I visited the Bass Pro in Bristol yesterday to buy a box of shells as a gift for a neighbor from my 10 year old son as that is what he wanted to give - having never bought a box of shells before, I didn't know that the "grain" was the wrong one; when I tried to exchange the box today for a gift card of the same amount, thus avoiding getting the wrong kind again, I was refused. The manager would only recite that it is against store policy to return ammunition, no exceptions, despite an honest mistake of purchasing the wrong kind just one day prior. At the very least, they should have their cashiers state or highlight on receipts that ammo is non-exchangeable or non-refundable. $25 down the drain for me; though I have been a frequent shopper, I will never go back. read more
