The counter person was very pleasant and knew what he was talking about and helped me immensely. In closing I would highly recommend this establishment for all your welding needs

If zero stars was an option I would chose that! The billing department is horrible. I have been…read moretrying to resolve a bill since Sept 2020, and still not resolved. I paid what I owed for gas for a generator, in full, in October. Hocon charged me for a rental fee for a tankI never rented. I owned the tank for many years. I did get them to credit back the erroneous rental charge, but it was after the billing system charged a finance charge (for money I didn't owe them). Each month I receive a bill charging me an additional finance charge on the original finance charge that was never owed to them, and each month I try to call them. The hold time for billing is in excess of 30 minutes, and eventually I hang up and write them letter after letter asking them to correct the error. Today I called at 4:45 and got the answering service. The billing department, which states is open until 5:00 was gone for the day. Since I have received zero response to my letters, I am hoping this will review generate a response. If this was my only billing problem, I would let it go. Unfortunately, in 2019-2020 I had 3 separate accounts with Hocon, and had billing problems with all 3. This was my last transaction with the company, and I just want to close this last account. My advise - use ANYBODY ELSE but NEVER HOCON!

Can I tell you how much I love my helium tank?…read more Helium tanks are a dime a dozen these days. Okay, they can be a little more expensive than that. But disposable versions are available at every mass retailer and party supply shop that dots the American suburban landscape. And I was buying disposable helium tanks for awhile. They were fine. But the biggest problem was that you never knew when they would crap out on you. And they really just didn't hold all that much helium. If you wanted more than 50 full sized balloons, then you would have to pick up two tanks and schlep them around. If you've got a party where you're blowing up over 50 balloons, you don't have time to be mucking about with two separate helium tanks. Enter Noble Gas Solutions! Technically, it's more of a welding supply and medical gas company than a party supply store. In fact, I felt a little out of place not knowing one canister from another. Nor really, anything about compressed gas. But at least one young staffer made me fell much more comfortable. The old guard was wisely suspicious of my naiveté. Because once I got my industrial strength helium tank--and my regulator with capacity indicator--home, I was a little concerned that I might have bitten off more than I could chew. However, after following the simple instructions, I was blowing up balloons like a champ! Not only that, but when I was at Noble Gas Solutions, I couldn't help but notice they also sell dry ice! I mean, what else is more fun than a place where you can buy pounds and pounds of dry ice and tanks full of helium. It's not cheap. But the tank is refillable. And I figure it will pay for itself in the long run. Plus, it's super convenient. Not to mention, incredibly badass. Thank you Noble Gas Solutions. I can't wait for my first refill, and to come up with some kind of use for dry ice. In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas... I'm all ears.

I'm hoping to clear a few things up not listed here. I'm an Eversource customer, and while I have…read morenot had an issue with North American Power, I would tell anyone to proceed with caution. If you watch your money and bills like a hawk, it might be worth it to you. NAP makes it sound like you will save a huge amount of money, you won't. It is a little bit, but you need to keep an eye on your contract, when it ends, and how to update it or get out of it. If you can't do that, or aren't the kind of person who looks closely at your bills each month, do not sign up with them. As of today, right on Eversource's website, there are providers offering a better rate than NAP, some by a fair amount. At least through Eversource, you can opt out of your third party contract with NAP (or another provider) fairly easily. However, you must make sure that there is no termination fee, or other hidden fee if you do. NAP's is $50 as of this writing. Logging into NAP and finding out any information about your account with them is something I have yet to be able to do. I don't like calling people like this as there is no paper trail, so expect to be on your own here. Eversource has a video on YouTube I recommend everyone watch before considering a third party supplier. It's called: RECOGNIZING AGGRESSIVE MARKETING TACTICS. NAP was once a MLM company, they are no longer, I'll give them that. I have not been ripped off by them, but I do trust the people on here that claim to be, to be honest. As I look at NAP, I can easily see how someone could be burned by their system. Final line, if you are the kind of person who watches your bills like a hawk, and NAP offers a better deal than others, go for it, and keep your eyes open. If not, even if you're at all unsure, skip them.

This company is completely unethical, the worst case of taking advantage of the consumer I've ever…read moreseen. They are essentially preying on customers who are unaware of their despicable tactics. I switched to them originally from a mailer solicitation, which promoted a more reasonable rate. After the initial period, the rate skyrocketed. Unfortunately, I did not notice or compare to see how high it actually was, which is my bad. Their rate was $0.1699/kWh vs $0.069 at Pepco, hard to imagine how they can get away with charging so much. Fortunately, I was able to cancel them quickly through Pepco vs. it taking a couple business cycles through NAP. This is an expensive lesson learned and hopefully there are more lawsuits against them to right these wrongs.
