Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Auto Racing, Collegiate and Pro Sports, even some high school sports and sport writers, broadcasters, etc. The St. Louis Browns, KC Royals, St Louis Cardinals and more. Anyone interested in sports will find displays of interest. Signed balls and jerseys, rare photographs, plaques and statues, programs and other great empheria. Some interactive exhibits, too! Push the wall button and watch Whitey Herzog come alive and give the team a pep talk. Watch unique sports videos! I went on an overcast Tuesday afternoon and was the only visitor. I felt like a kid in a candy store! Browsed for an hour plus, then a stroll thru a great outdoor statue garden. Well worth a visit!!

That just gave us more time to take in the many displays on Missouri sports (at a very reasonable price of just $5 per adult). You will find exhibits on many different sports, with baseball, football, and basketball having the greatest emphasis, but there's also smaller displays on sports such as NASCAR, tennis, horse racing, and branches of sports such as broadcasting, coaching, officiating, and sports medicine. And since we were able to take in a lot of information found there, we were very surprised to see people with ties to our high schools' (from which we graduated 10+ years prior) sports teams in the hall. The Hall of Fame was definitely the highlight of our trip to Springfield, and if you're a fan of any of Missouri's 5 pro sports teams or its college teams, it just may be the highlight of yours too.

Our paint instructor was wonderful, greeted everyone as we walked in, made sure we had all of our supplies along while saying many jokes. To drink I decided to take a 50ml vodka & a 11.5 lemonade. Pretzels sounded good to snack on, I didn't want something that was too greasy or that had a strong odor. I was glad they show you and tell you how to do everything, was a lot of fun seeing how everything turns out a little different than everyone else. You can use a different colors as well. It was so much fun, we had a great group and the instructor kept us laughing all the time. Honestly I was so glad I didn't drink more or I probably would have had an unfinished project or one that I'd have to leave in the garage.

A group of friends and I made reservations because we like the painting, and it was a fundraiser for the an American Cancer Society. You show up about 30 minutes ahead of time just to get acclimated. Be sure to wear old clothes - they give you an apron, but paint will still splatter from you (and from your neighbor). LOL They have tables set up with all the easels and all your paint colors on a plate, and all your paint brushes in a cup ready to go. You pick a seat and start painting. They have an instructor up front that paints an example and walks you through the picture, and then there's an assistant that walks around and helps you one-on-one. Every so often, you take a break and they play fun little interactive games. We painted mustaches on each other and then whoever painted the best mustache and whoever wore that mustache got a prize. They gave away tumblers, coffee cups, shirts, and paintings, so that was a cool deal too. This gives you the chance to use the bathroom and one of their blow dryers to dry your picture before the next stage. There's a table along the back wall, and they do allow you to bring in food and your own drinks. There's a mini fridge, a bottle opener, and a corkscrew, so you don't have to bring any of that stuff with you. There's also a Rewards program you can sign up for that gives you points the more you paint. This was the most fun I've had in a long time, and you don't have to be a good artist to enjoy yourself. They also have a special time set up on Saturdays where you can bring your painting back in and work one-on-one with an artist to fix it if you're not happy. That's a really neat asset that they offer. This is a super fun place with really nice people. It makes for a good time with a group of friends doing something out of the ordinary. Highly recommended!

Take a group of friends and enjoy an afternoon of beer tasting and nice people. Parking is easy, but they have cab services available if you need it. There are tons of booths from local and major craft breweries, and everything is free (yes, even the amazing salted caramel ice cream with bourbon candied bacon from Buckinghams...swoon). There are reps at every booth to help you discover new beers or learn how to make your own.
