I love what Ozark Food Harvest is doing for the community. Just the thought that they are helping hungry children is amazing.

Ozarks Food Harvest is one of my favorite charities. Located in Springfield, Missouri, they help communities in over 28 counties. Yes, food is near and dear to my heart, but all joking aside - the thought of children going hungry in this country is horrifying. OFH truly does adhere to the values of its mission and provides food for thousands of people throughout the Ozarks. My favorite program is the Weekend Backpack Program. Children are sent home each Friday w/ a small backpack filled with individually packaged food, so they will (hopefully) not go hungry w/o school breakfasts/lunches. OFH also sponsors various programs to feed children throughout the summer - again, when school breakfast and lunch is not available. OFH was at the forefront after the tornado devastated Joplin, MO. For weeks, this organization provided (literally) tons of food to folks who had lost their homes, jobs and livelihoods. I am selective where I put my money; Ozarks Food Harvest is an organization I support proudly and w/ confidence. read more
