Dirty martini
Leslie C.

So... we were honest said we are here for happy hour grabbing a drink and be out in an hour. We had a minor had to sit in the restaurant. The good: Very nice place on the waterfront. Great dirty martini $5 and the horse feather drink delish. Order the Himalayan Momos to try very interesting and good option to try something different. The bad: waitress. No personality or social skills. Couldn't even tell us the spices in the momo. If she could have thought outside of the box could've got us a mock tail for up charge. Instead spent her time chatting behind the scenes with other coworkers.

We decided that the fish preparation was so good on our last visit that we would give Rupert's one more try. We were glad we did. The fish was cooked perfectly. It was so moist and flaky and perfectly seasoned, not over or under. The risotto was also cooked well which is a feat for risotto. The food wasn't our concern as last time it was tasty and well cooked. This time the service was much improved. We had the same bartender, John. He remembered us from our previous visit and greeted us warmly. We didn't order an appetizer so there was no issue with the timing of the delivery of our entrees. We were provided with utensils immediately after ordering. Our menus were taken away which gave us the needed space for our food and beverages. We arrived at 5pm and we were lucky to get bar seating. John informed us that they would stop serving entrees in the bar at 6pm as a bridal party had booked the entire outside patio. He was the sole bartender, so that was understandable. I would recommend that if you don't have a reservation to arrive early for bar seating. The seating in the bar area offers views and has seats at the bar as well as high tops and a window seat in a quieter area. I would definitely recommend Rupert's Fish Fridays.

Spacious, elegant decor!

The place was booked. We had reservations at 7:30. Too late for our family. Brittany got us tables at the bar area at 5 PM. Our waiter, John, accommodated us and served us well. The Thai crab cakes were great, as was the Thai curry. My wife and I had the skirt steak, cooked to perfection. One brother had the pork chop, which he enjoyed thoroughly. One of the better places in McCall to enjoy a meal.

My husband and I had dinner here last Saturday Night and we had a wonderful relaxing time. Our host was kind and sat us near the view windows. The ambiance was nice and quiet. The food was delicious, I had the elk meatloaf and my husband had the steak. It was so delicious I licked my plate (not literally but you get it). Would definitely recommend

Very nice looking place. We came here for our anniversary. Beautiful view of the lake but then they sat a table next to us and we couldn't look at the view without looking like creepers. The tables were so close together that it felt like we were sitting at a long dining table. We could hear their whole conversation and vice-versa. It was not a very romantic and a bit awkward dinner. The food was cooked perfectly and the drinks were very tasty. The staff are all friendly. Might come back but I hope there is somewhere in the restaurant we can feel a little less crowded.

Beautiful dining atmosphere on the south side of Payette Lake. Discovered Elk Meatloaf is absolutely tasty with Weller 107 bourbon. Food was amazing and the service was good. Stop by when in McCall, Idaho. You won't be disappointed!

Great, seasonal food and very friendly with my daughter. The menu is fairly limited, but they had a fantastic vegetarian option.

We had scoped this place out during our visit to Joseph and saw the great reviews, so thought we…read morewould give it a try. Then our innkeeper told us this was a place we HAD to go eat. That clinched it. We went for lunch and my wife had the Ubon chicken soup and I had the Beef chimichurri salad. We loved them both! The chimichurri had just the right amount of flavor and the lemon vinaigrette was perfection. Definitely would go here again if we're in the area.

I am staying in the Joseph area on vacation, and this place came up as a good place to eat, so I…read morethought I'd give it a try. The food was really good. I got a large romaine salad with chicken. It was plain, but in a good way. I don't know what it is about Joseph and Enterprise, Oregon, but the size of their salads is about five times bigger than where I'm from, and I'm loving it. It was hard for me to finish because it was so big, and I am a big eater. The lettuce tasted very fresh, and the dressing tasted homemade. Regarding the service, the woman who greeted and served me was extremely polite. She checked on me often, filled my water every time it was down a couple of ounces, and seemed very kind. I would say the service was great. When it comes to the ambiance, this place is a trip. Honestly, I did a double take and walked in and out a couple of times because I wasn't sure it was a restaurant. I thought it was a pet shop. I honestly could not tell. To me, it was definitely quirky, but it fit the overall vibe of the town of Joseph. I really enjoyed watching all of the customers come in with their dogs. The dogs were so happy and immediately got treats. It was dog heaven, to be honest. It made me think about my dog, who is no longer with us, in kind of a sad way. At the same time, it made me want another dog. The next time I'm in Joseph, I'll definitely be stopping back by here to grab a bite.
