It was to be delivered on Monday February 24 th at 11:45 am at 12:25p.m. I was called because the food was not there by one of the staff who was waiting for the food to arrive. Ruined the surprise.......luncheon for my husbands 60 th birthday. Some of the people attending the luncheon left to go get food elsewhere. I called at 12:26 and the food was then delivered. I did receive an apology from the manager later in the afternoon. They had my phone number they should of called...???? To say hey I have all these boxes of food here and I would of told them YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DELIVER THAT ....The meal was not delivered till 41 min after it was supposed to be have been....... What is even more unfortunate is that I contacted the owner of the business and informed them of the trouble I had when placing the order and the complete fail on the part of their business. I informed them thru text twice about this situation and they did not have the decency to contact me and apologize for this unfortunate non execution of services. They do not appreciate or understand customer service. I attended their wedding reception a couple years back as I have been a friend of the owners mom for over 40 years. Shame on them. I would not recommend jimmy johns of Wayne for an event for food.

It's been many years since I've been back, and I was so sad to see that they really haven't kept the restaurant up very well. While traveling on business, I thought I would grab some lunch and work on a project. A hostess offered to seat me, but became quickly confused about exactly where to put me and we ended up walking to several areas of the restaurant that had empty tables before she was able to get some assistance and find the right booth for me to sit in. Unfortunately, they do not have Wi-Fi so I wasn't able to stay. I would have ordered their classic "French Cheesy" sandwich which sells for only $4.50 (it is sold a la carte, as all of the sandwiches are). Much of the menu is fried, although they do offer a salad. I choose to keep my nice memories of the granary as a fun, family-friendly place to eat. I was really sad to see that it had aged so much. I hope that it's current owners, or anyone who takes it over in the future will opt to redo the interior & give it the love that it needs. It's meant to feel warm and homey. This has definitely been a treasured restaurant in Norfolk for many years and it deserves to be taken care of.

The trash was piled so high you couldn't put anything else in it. The coffee somehow had all kinds of extra ingredients and still just tasted like straight espresso. The food took so long we were nearly done with our coffees by the time we got it. There was a whopping one other person in there so it's not like they were in the weeds. But this spot?! This decor?! It's like an incredibly gorgeous person with a vapid personality. IDK how else to describe it.
