I received an email with a bid as follows: Windows Pella Pro-Line Remove existing windows, prep openings, supply and install new package of windows (per spec sheet). Seal openings properly with closed cell foam and rubberized tape. Finish and caulk exterior. Interior will be ready for paint/stain. Exterior Door Remove old service door in garage and prep for new. Supply and install one 2'8" flat panel steel entry door with 1/2 glass on side of garage Debris Removal Debris removal and general cleanup He wrote separately that the Pella rep would be out with him on Wednesday and a deposit was needed on that day for 50%, then 35% when windows were delivered and the final 15% at completion. I wrote back that I could not give a deposit without receipt of detail. After my email, the exchange changed the relationship from cordial to adversarial. The tone of his email messages escalated negatively. Given those exchanges we decided to cancel the measurement meeting. The response to our cancellation was additional aggressive, diminishment and hostile commentary. All in all, unsettling. Given some of the other reviews I read only recently, I think we made the right decision.

Just took their quote did not bid other contractors. But this time there was no foreman to deal with. Owner Paul called all the shots himself. Did not communicate with us or his people. They did not know from day to day what they were to work on. Paul did not care about our schedule or wishes. Got substandard workmanship on walls and trim. Had to rip trim out myself and fit and install correct trim at my expense. Had to work around their work on cabinets molding and tile. Even his tile sub, who did a great job told me he had told Paul repeatedly it would be a better job if they could install the tile before the baseboards. Said Paul told him if he was working for him to do it his way or work for someone else. We ended up with multiple cost overruns due to poor quoting, cabinets with sub stan paint and poor workmanship and fit up on carpentry work. We assumed that if we hired a professional builder and paid $53,000.00 we would get a professional job. Instead we got a my way or the highway attitude. I would not contract Paulsons to build a dog house.

From the moment Chris Wolverton walked in he made us feel so comfortable and confident that he was the right contractor for the job. We were not disappointed. I would give these guys a ten if that was an option. The tradesmen working with Chris were all very highly skilled and easygoing. And after having a complete kitchen and bath remodel I determined we needed a laundry remodel too. They are just wonderful and each one of them have become part of the family. Will be doing more remodels in the near future and they will be doing them! Trust no one else!

I called Wolverton Construction and Chris Wolverton came to my house and gave me an estimate within days! Even though I changed what I wanted done many times, Mr. Wolverton kept on coming out updating my quote without any problems. Once I accepted the quote construction started very quick! He also honored the price he gave even though went above and beyond on things I requested last minute. I am very thorough and what things done the way I like it. I called/text Mr. Wolverton at all times of the day through the whole process. What was refereshing is that he called/text back within the hour (even on weekends and during his vacation)! Needless to say, I will be going back to Wolverton Construction when I get my kitchen done! Again, amazing job!! -Adam

Ambra lost our selection list from the time of the first meeting until we were ready to order. Unlike our previous experience with KSI she did not come to our house for measurements, even though we live only 2 miles away. Instead, she asked the contractor to check my measurements, and he is 20 miles away---and he found I measured correctly. The 2 small bathrooms we are remodeling aren't even done and we have found 3 errors on her order so far. Right now we are on hold until the counter top maker comes out to cut it down, she ordered it too large. They already were here once because she didn't order the right hole configuration for the faucet. The two medicine cabinets were too large to fit. Wes, the store manager has been very accommodating in correcting her errors, but she has cost us time and aggravation.

E-mails failed to produce a correct quote, even though other vendors did fine with the same information. When I went in the second time, thinking it would be easier in person, they couldn't accommodate me, and said I needed an appointment. I made an appointment, and when I went in for the appointment, they said they were sorry, they were accommodating someone who walked in. I asked if anyone could help me, and the answer was no. I waited 15 minutes, then left, asking for a manager to call me. The manager said she would personally provide a correct quote, that day, and it's now several days later and I still don't have a quote. I went to Home Depot where they were friendly and helpful, and with the 20% sale coupon, the price was about the same. Just no excuse for this abysmal level of customer service. The only reason they even got one star was because it's not possible to give 0 or negative.

It's just fun to walk around in the store, but trust me, you wont leave empty handed! There is always something that you didnt know existed, but you have to have one. Last night I attended one of their cooking demonstrations. Despite the small area, it was so much fun and the food that was prepared was delicious! I enjoyed it so much, that I immediately signed up for another class for next week! The staff is delightful, the store is charming.

This is a boutique kitchen store located in my little town of Milford. I've been telling just about…read moreeveryone I know about this place ever since it opened. And, It's most definitely worthy of a road trip! Especially if you appreciate kitchen stores. They do have a wedding registry. AND, I've also used this for Christmas gifts for my mother-in-law the last two Christmas holidays. Made me so happy to be able to get things that she would love. AND, it's worth noting that my mother-in-law is a very savvy shopper (I am missing the shopping gene) and she absolutely LOVES this place. A few years ago Acorn Farms carried these super cool lily pad shaped, rubbery styled bowl covers that were pretty cool. I think my mother-in-law personally sold about 30 of those things cuz she told everyone she knows about them. I bought a couple too and they're fabulous because you can use them to seal just about any bowl! This shop carries both beautiful and unique home items along with just about every kitchen gadget you can think of. And their service is unbelievable. Every time I go in there, and my most recent visit was no exception, the staff ALWAYS helps me above and beyond the call of duty. And that's pretty amazing considering that the place is always busy! Only thing I think might bother some people is that the pricing is not discounted. And yet, I personally go out of my way to purchase things here because I like having this store in our community. Oh, this year they had something called 5th Saturday (or something like that) and for any month that had a 5th Saturday, you could go in on that day and fill a bag (that they give you) with things that are then discounted by I think 20%, but I'm not certain. My point is that they are trying to find ways to offer opportunities to reward their good customers and I love that too! I'll be going again soon because they sell beautiful candles and I need one for the kitchen!
