Then you find out they ordered things incorrectly, it has been five months over 40 emails and I still do not have my problem solved!! I have to continuously chase them to solve it. I am so dissatisfied with the service! You should go anywhere except here!! You go to places like them expecting their expertise to order the sink the fixtures the drains that applies to what you're ordering. And when they make a mistake you expect them to fix it. That is the exact opposite of my experience. I placed my order in January 2017 It is now Thanksgiving weekend of 2017 I have lived in my new home for over a month I have a sink without a drain !!!!!! First they ordered the wrong part then when my plumber told him about the error, they only ordered one new drain. I have been waiting for the second drain for over four months...! I have come up with several ideas nothing has been resolved !!!

Problems started when I had a leak at the base of my shower on the side with the shower arm and controls. The leak went into the basement and through the wall which caused massive damage to my brand new closet system in my walk in closet and the floor in there on the other side of the wall from the shower. I was left with over $5,000 in damages. I couldn't file an insurance claim really. I have renters that share my home with me and I had to evict a renter for severe damage to my basement and the basement bedroom he was living in. Due to the amount of damage we had to split it into 4 claims. So they told me if I filed another claim, I wouldn't be able to file anymore for 7 years. DreamMaker did agree to fix the problems but they told me it would take a few months because there was a back log on acquiring materials. They came out and caulked the area where the leak was because I had company coming and I needed the shower operational. It was my understanding that the temporary fix was good until they were able to repair it permanently. I was fine with that. A few months went by and there was no follow up from them at all. I sent an e-mail and 3 days went by so I contacted a lawyer to send them my intent to go to court. When I called for their fax number and the employee at DreamMaker realized what I was doing, they suddenly became very responsive. However, I had another representative call and say to me, we did everything we said we were going to do on the appropriate time schedule. You weren't supposed to be using the shower anyway. I felt like they were victim blaming and shaming me. If they somehow thought that would win my business again, then I don't know what the hell they were thinking. So the bathroom originally looked nice, but they're working on it right now and they tore out the shower and the tile floor they just put in. I know mistakes happen, but given the leak, the victim blaming and shaming, the lack of follow up, and their lack of concern for how much I pad out in damages, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Ken even had other subcontractors come out to ensure that we had the best estimate for the work. They kept us in the loop, cleaned up at the end of the day, and always demonstrated a high level of professionalism (i.e., early/on time, respectful, reliable, etc.), which made them stand out compared to all the other contractors we contacted. The only downside was the cost relative to other contractors. However, as newbie homeowners we've learned that the contractor fees tend to be higher in Ann Arbor. Although, we feel that the fee was well worth it in the end because of their stellar work. The bathroom previously was a room to avoid, and a space that we didn't use. They truly transformed our space. Looking forward to ADB helping us with our next project!!

Asked an employee who was wasn't occupied to explain that was my question. VERY rude woman pointed to a sign about appointment only, and next appointment was end of March. Tried to explain I wanted to buy an item from their stock. Rude woman again said couldn't do it but had to schedule. Eight weeks away. Ok then, took my stock # to Lowe's, who were very friendly, and bought my two Koehler sinks there at 40% lower price. I'm tired that crappy, rude customer service gets blamed on staffing COVID issues. Done spending my money here.

I went in this last Saturday with my measurements, but too was quickly greeted and explained to the process of how it works. They even gave me a sheet of a timeline--each step of the process is clearly mapped out for you! I'm a very busy person and work a LOT, so I immediately loved that. This is not Home Depot, so the designers are not hourly employees and are VERY busy (especially on Saturday) when people stray in to browse and the designers are busy with their appointments. They're more than happy to allow people to browse, but don't expect a lot of help with pricing questions.. However, I DID get a lot of help! Both of the receptionists came over and talked to us and showed us many of the different cabinet features, granite and finishes that they loved and were the top sellers.. Both women even gave us a list of the vendors they work with.. That was VERY helpful as we stopped by a couple places after. I was so frazzled on Saturday, I wish I remembered their names because they were excellent and went above and beyond and deserve a proper shout out! After talking to both of these nice women for a minute, I assumed they were designers that had a little extra free time. Nope! But they knew their stuff.. If you're wanting to discuss pricing and go over finishes, you have to make an appointment.. but even though I didn't have one, I was more than happy to schedule one and come back next week. I'm going to be investing a lot of money--I really liked that they are smart too and don't just run around wasting their time with every person that walks through their door that is only half serious and not ready to start their project now (like I am). I've worked in a similar industry most of my life and chasing around people that want to dream shop is EXHAUSTING, especially when you have ready and willing people that NEED to get their project done right away, but can't because of time wasters. Lastly, after we left the showroom, we went to one of their preferred flooring company in Livonia. I was blown away by the selection. They have a designated employee that works there on certain days that handles KSI people. He was not there, and the other guy that greeted us showed us around and answered so many questions for us even though he knew at that point he heard KSI he wasn't going to get a commission. I loved that. People that genuinely care! I asked him to honestly tell me, is it worth if couple extra bucks to work with KSI. He said that actually, you end up spending just as much working with KSI than any contractor you would find on your own. The people they have contracted don't fuck around--because KSI will cut them off. They know this.. Also, KSI gets big discounts from all of their vendors.. Plus, the designers coordinate everything. A lot of their vendors only work with designers so you get discounted pricing already because they order in bulk. If this guy who is commission based only cared about his paycheck, he would have lied to me and told me they were horrible to work with and encouraged me to do my floors first, which is a bad idea and he didn't. Instead, he escorted us around their massive warehouse and explained all the flooring options. Looking very forward to working with this company!

This company uses predatory business practices. They lure you in with their reputation and their…read morefancy show room and act super professional in the beginning - but the fact is they require $550 for an in person quote, and 50% down before starting... as soon as they received my 50% down payment (you should never do this, 50% gives the corporation far too much power) all of a sudden it's like a switch is flipped and they treat you completely different. That's because they have successfully trapped you, after that all promises of high quality, timely work, and project management that is supposed to be all of high standards, given the premium price points and additional costs of this "professional" establishment, stop existing. They then higher random 3rd party contractors for the bulk of the project for the cheapest prices - while charging you top dollar. They don't hold them accountable, and they don't care. You will have to beg to get them to show up, and beg for them to come back when round 1 ends up being such low quality work that you'll need a re-do. They do this on purpose because a lot of people want to avoid the headache and will accept the low quality work. Avoid this corporate nightmare, they deliberately will try to cut corners on you, they force you to manage your own project, and ultimately you'll realize you got completely taken advantage of. The time frame for the project they present is a lie. The high quality and professionals they promise it a lie. You need to beg to get their experienced pros - they will send you random workers they find who barely know what their doing for the first round - then give you the better workers if you complain. Get ready to get on your hands and knees begging for your project to get focused on while you try to compete with 10+ other people begging for their project to get done at the same time. They over schedule and don't care because all they care about is getting you wrapped up in the predatory contract and then that's it, you're trapped. Find businesses that don't have these predatory business practices, go directly to places and work with them directly. You don't need a glorified middle man to "manage" the project for you, it's nonsense - it actually overcomplicates the project and they don't manage anything anyways, they make you become a full time project manager or things will never get done - or be such low quality that it'll appear your premium priced project was a DIY job. If you respect your time, money, and soul, you won't use KSI corporate nightmare.
