Something special about the groomers. I have a 7 year old very fearful female dog, and a very hyper people loving 12 year old dog. This is the only place I take my dogs for grooming. The female hates her feet being touched, and hates new people. Kathy has a special touch- let me tell you! First time there Kathy spent some time with the female dog and got her to trust her the quickest I have ever seen. She was able to get the trails trimmed and even worked on trimming the hair. Next two visits she worked on more trust and than brought out the drill to grind the nails. This was a big step! This trip today Kathy was able to file the nails and shave the paw pads WITHOUT ANY accidents or my dog getting scared! My female dog is so fearful that at the vets (which I have brought all my dogs too for the last 26 years) she has shown teeth and has to be muzzled for the last 2 years. NOT here, not at Runway Pet Groomers! The store owner/manager always is nice and giver my dog space to build trust. Kathy is special, as is this location. My male dog is a ball of energy and just wants to love and run around the whole time. They handle him with care, because he will try to jump off the bench to see the other dogs and people. They do not yell, scold or tighten the lead or choke him to comply. Rather, they give him attention and work at his pace. His nails are blackened and hard to see the quick, and he has NEVER come back with a cut or bleeding. Unlike other places I have taken him. You can see other groomers and other dogs through the windows, and none of them seem like they want flee the area. There's toys, treats and food items to purchase should you choose. Overall, the prices are good for the area and the staff are great with dogs. I won't take them anyplace else! read more

After 10 years and the only grooming location my pup has known I have moved on. I expressed my concerns the last two visits and nothing improved. Their customer service is lacking and the groomers seem to change like a revolving door. I would recommend many other businesses in the area before this one. read more

Never in my life have I been disrespected like this before by a business owner. I took my pup in for a full groom which I do every 4-6 weeks (I get minigrooms in between). After 3,5HOURS with him being in there they call me that now they need to shave him cause he's so matted . 5 hours later I go there to get my pup I was upset of the fact that he has been sitting there for 5 HOURS. Even if he needs shaving (which would have been fine) this should have been able to be determined in less than 3,5h. Once I go pick up my pup the owner (Alfredo) says I don't care about my dog and that's the reason he was matted!!!! I had no words. My pup means more than anything to me! I was already looking for new place since the new receptionist at runway had the worst demeanor and attitude . All they want to do every time is upcharge you and yell in front of the whole store "how much do you want to leave the tip ". Just bad way to do business. Will never ever ever go back there nor recommend this place to anyone else ever again. What a shame read more

My baby Diesel went to Runway for the first time yesterday and I am so happy we changed groomers! After years at PetSmart ( terrible-I know!) I had HAD IT. So I ask my friends for a recommendation. They all said RUNWAY! Ricardo and his team were kind and gentle with my little boy and he was so happy. Looked and smelled great. We are clients FOR LIFE! read more

this business in not reputable... They tried and charge a boarding fee if you are a little late from when they text you that your pet is done. I have never heard of such a thing... to make matters worse they were arrogant and disrespectful. The work was not that good and my dog came back very skiddish ??? ... I will cut my dogs hair myself before I would bring her there again. read more

I don't know why I keep bringing my dogs here. The groomers NEVER do what I tell them. They do the same boring haircut over and over again. Then make up excuses why they can't do any other style. It's cause they're lazy and don't want to spend the extra time. I would honestly pay more if they'd just do ANYTHING I keep asking for. Oh well, not bringing them here ever again. Some people love their job, but these people are clearly in it for the money. Sad. read more

This groomer is incapable of doing their job. My 10 pound shitzu is 10 years old. You can imagine how many times she's been groomed in her lifetime. My husband and I even groomed her during the pandemic. We know she hates to get her haircut and can be a bit difficult but this groomer called after I dropped her off telling me they would not be able to groom her because she's being too difficult and would need to be sedated. In her 10 years of life I've never been turned away. They are just lazy and clearly not good at handling all animals (which is their job). She's a small dog that's overwhelmed. Not a 1000 pound bear. Don't waste your time. read more

Thank you fellow yelpers for steering me to try this groomer. I just moved to the area and my old groomer is just too far. I was a little nervous because my fur baby had a bad experience once but after speaking to the staff i felt comfortable bringing him in. They did such an amazing job!! I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

I just got home from picking up my Shih Tzu Bella from Ruff Ruff. Bella looks amazing! Ruff Ruff treated my dog like it was one of their own fur babies. Once I walked in I was greater by the staff and the owner. It was a great warm welcoming. While Bella was waiting to get her grooming, she socialized with the other dogs that were there. I think that's great because all other groomers I went to stuck her in a crate until she can be groomed. I got a call a few hours later and can't believe how amazing of a cut she got. I give this place A+++++ for everything they do there. I will come back everytime Bella needs a grooming and recommend this to everyone! read more

I've visited this grooming with multiple pets in the past and after yesterday's customer service I'm saying good bye. Called on Thursday to make an appointment for Friday. Had openings which was fantastic. When speaking to the gentleman on the phone, he asked me for my phone number and proceeded to list off my 3 pets I've taken there. I asked him to remove one who recently passed away. We set an appointment for one of my dogs and let him know a family member would be dropping my dog off as I had an appointment as well. End of conversation. When arriving to the appointment Friday, he clearly had my dog on the schedule as he was expecting him. But then was requesting shot records. The records aren't the issue here...it's how he proceeded after my family member informed him that they should be on file as we have taken him here multiple times in the past. Instead of owning up to the fact he deleted the wrong pet off my phone number...he argued. So we turned around and walked out. I refuse to give business to people who don't deserve it. Imagine how they would treat our animals who can't come home and tell us they weren't treated properly? Well you lost $100 and I will be sure to spread my experience at your establishment. read more

I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS IF I COULD. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF YOURE ON VACATION, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. THE FRONT DESK IS VERY RUDE. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! And they threatened me saying if im not here in 5 minutes, they can't hold him any longer. Like what are you gonna do, put him outside and leave him there???? Absolutely ridiculous for a pet care. How do you call yourself a pet care if you can't even care for a pet? We were 30 minutes behind and treated and yelled at so poorly when we walked in. As if we can control florida traffic. My god, never bring your dogs here ladies and gentleman!!!! On top of that my dog STINKS!!!!!! I wanted to buy him a new leash and treats but i couldn't even bring myself to give them anything extra. Treated with such disrespect. read more

Been takIng my dogs here for years and Jose has always taken care of them, very friendly and always willing to accommodate any requests. They completely chopped off my dogs whiskers and made an excuse that I requested it. Was a regular at this place and have never requested This before. I did talk to them and explain their mistake. After that, every time I Called them for an appointment the front desk lady is absolutely rude and hangs up. This isn't how you run a business. Don't screw up in the first place and if you do, don't be a jerk. You lost a repeat customer. read more

I wish I could say my last 2 experiences were as great as they were when my Rocco was alive. I know have a Shih Poo and I dont know if it's because she is a different breed than a Yorkie. It may be because the previous owner had different groomer. I chose what cut I wanted for her and when I came back the groomer said she didnt like that look in my Shih Poo. I told the groomer I was not happy and she said it would take just 2 minutes to redo. Well now it's not even on the trunk of her body, the face cut doesn't match the body and the tail is still to long. I wasnt about to ask the groomer to do it again Dont get me wrong my little one looked better than when she went in. It just looks like it's a Farmer's Market haircut at salon pricing read more

This place is great. Called in a Saturday morning and they were able to schedule an appt for our dog. $40 included nails trim, bath, anal glands and other things I forgot. Service took about an hour ish. Zeek has a skin problem so we were able to bring our own shampoo and conditioner. When we picked him up, he smelled amazing and didn't look he hated us for making him do this. The beginnings of a loyal customer! read more

Awesome grooming and taking care of my German Shepard, staff very friendly and willing to help and work with you

Professional Groomers- Best in Dr. Philips! I have a 50lb chow chow with a double coat and an obstinate attitude (bless his little heart). Its always a concern getting him groomed because hes fussy guy with a big bite. When I entered Ruff Ruff I was greeted by the owner, the place was big on the inside and the owner gave me a tour of her state of the art facilities. Everything was spotless and the equipment they had was the stuff true professionals use. They even had a play pen for the dogs to socialize with each other. The groomer/owner assured me that Aslan would not be muzzled unless it was a last resort and if so it would be for a very short time. When I picked up Aslan he looked amazing! I had asked for him to be washed, then his beard trimmed, his unside shaved and also a sanitary shave. The groomer did it in such a way you can't even tell his under side is shaved and he looked like he had had a blast. I've never seen him enjoy being groomed before! Love this place and plan on coming back. read more

I don't think the word "amazing" does this place justice. Brought my puppy here to have his very first Grooming experience. The problem was, I waited until Christmas Eve. Runway Pet Grooming was able to accommodate my needs. I brought my baby in for his grooming. These guys were so awesome! Duffy felt so relaxed and calm in their care that he fell asleep on the table while they were doing his face. Because he was a rescue, he had never been groomed before so he was badly matted. He came out looking adorable!! I think I found my permanent Groomers! read more

I took my West Highland Terrier to Ruff Ruff and they did a great job! The staff was very friendly and did exactly what I wanted for her grooming. So this was first time coming to runway pet grooming I based it off of the reviews and thought it was going to be a good pick! So I told the owner and the groomer that I wanted my dog to be round they stated that on the bottom by his feet he was matted however his body WAS NOT matted when I received my dog he was shaved off nothing was ROUND about him and it was a completely different dog it was not my dog that I brought in!!! I am so disappointed bc I put my trust in these people, they did not apologize but stated they'll add a note into his file that he needs a round shape. (Lets keep in my mind I pulled up a picture of previous work done by runaway, to give them an idea of what I wanted and still I got nothing) my dogs nails were still sharp, we took him back in the shop at that very moment and my dog was shivering and scared to go back in. My groom was $65, even though my dogs hair cut was botched, they insisted on treats, my dog refused all of them. So it's been 5 days since our botched haircut, ever since the trip to the groomers my dog has not eaten and has been dropped off to Banfield today. read more

Fantastic experience at this doggie salon! I was able to secure a same day appointment easily and the staff was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful right from the first phone call. The groomer was so sweet and took her time asking about my baby and what I wanted done. My cocker spaniel looked so cute with his full groom and I was even offered suggestions on how care for his skin and coat as well as food samples to improve his diet. I will certainly continue to bring him to this salon for services. I loved the service, felt comfortable leaving my furry baby there, and he looked amazing after his groom! read more

I can't believe I have checked in here 5 times and not reviewed this place. I have recommended this place for a long time and several of our friends have moved over to ruff ruff because of our recommendation. Melanie and her assistants are fantastic with our little girl. She always comes home smelling great and looking great to. You can not find a better place to take your dog period. read more

I had what was probably an unusual experience, but I'm not very impressed. We brought our rescue mini poodle in after a few attempts to groom him ourselves didn't exactly go terribly well. I gather he hasn't been groomed many times in his life because he hates every second of it and is generally uncooperative. So we figured we'd let a professional do it. We made an appointment for a Saturday at 10 am. Brought him in and as soon as the woman touched him she said his hair was completely matted and he needed a complete shave down and I had to sign a waiver. Ok, that's my fault for not being more diligent with the brushing, lesson learned. She tells us she has another dog ahead of him and to give her "some time." I'm sorry, but when I go to get my haircut, if I have an appointment I don't expect you to tell me there's someone ahead of me. Against my better judgement (and because he desperately needed the haircut) we left him there and waited. And waited. And waited some more. We were just about to go in and check on him at 2:30 in the afternoon when they called us to pick him up. Told me how poorly he behaved and can I please only bring him in on Mondays? Charged me extra, didn't clean his ears because he "wouldn't let them" (I've cleaned his ears before and he squirms but it was definitely doable), and clipped his butt (which was definitely not matted as we had been cutting the hair back there consistently for cleanliness purposes) so short he has clipper burn. And apparently they didn't give him any water the whole time because he came home and slurped up his whole water bowl. Going forward, we're just going to brush him every day and trim his hair at home once a week so it doesn't get unruly because we're not coming back. read more

The staff here is super friendly, I mainly came here because there's no kennels and they are really fast - I hate the idea of dropping my dog off and him sitting in a kennel for hours waiting for his turn - the groom was decent..They ignored some of what I asked for, but I could look past that..It's the fact that my dog came home with fleas that I cannot overlook. Really upsetting and now we need to get him and my other dog a flea treatment along with having to take precautions to rid my entire home of them. read more

I wish I could give Ruff Ruff 10 STARS! A visitor to the Orlando area, I was looking for a groomer for my aged, fragile dog. I read good reviews on Yelp and decided to make an appointment. The owner greeted my husband, me, but mostly my dog, at the door. She showed us around the facility introducing us to her assistant as we went. She also told us about her other canine clients who were wandering around having a wonderful time like this was a doggie daycare. When I returned my dog (who she groomed while he laid in a dog bed so he wouldn't have to stand too long) was beautiful and relaxed. If you love your dog - take him/her to Ruff Ruff! read more

You can tell the owners really love pets! I felt so welcomed when I came in. I will definitely come back!

This place is FANTASTIC! Everyone there is terrific and my dog Joey came back to me looking and smelling terrific! He also seemed to have a terrific time hanging out with the other dogs. When Melanie told me how much I owed I practically felt guilty because it seemed low for the great work they did. Everyone who works at Ruff Ruff is great and they aren't just about taking your $ like the previous place I tried in The Orlando area. I look forward to our next visit. Thank you everyone at Ruff Ruff! read more

I will have to say this place is great! I always call in short notice and they always are available, not like other groomers. I've taken my dog (papi) 3 times and i will have to say, Kiki (dog groomer) is great at what she does. She is super friendly and caring with my dog. She is the reason papi comes here. I highly recommend this place. Staff is great, very welcoming. read more

amazing find!! i've only lived in orlando a little over a year but i've taken my shih tzu puppy to a lot of different places (most of which i found on yelp!) in search of a good groomer... this place is kind of hidden, it's in a quiet shopping center on turkey lake, where kmart is the main attraction... don't let the less than appealing strip mall mislead you, ruff ruff grooming is truly a diamond in the rough! they always take great care of my pup, he loves going there because it's like a spa day for him! they always shave him down exactly how i ask and they do a really great job cutting the hair around his face while making sure not to touch his eyelashes! on top of the high quality groom, every time he's gone, he's made new friends! the owners are always on site; you can clearly tell that they genuinely love animals and they treat every dog with nothing but the highest level of love and care. ruff ruff grooming is a great place and i highly recommend it to anyone that's looking for a groomer that will truly take care of your baby! read more
