Do you like going to the store and getting what you need in one trip? If so dont shop at runnings. Every time i go it has been a bad or meh experience. The check out lanes almost always have one open and 6 closed. I asked about a tractor attachment and was told by 3 different employees different answers. The prices on carhartt clothing seems above average too. I now only go to check on sizing then buy it on amazon for a bit less while still in store. Ammo seems a bit high price wise.Their selection is limited aswell. Just go to a gun store for ammo. I have never bought a gun here but considering how incompetent the employees are i would not trust them to be informative. Tractor supply has better prices and better staff that know there stuff. I was in the store today 8/25/24 and as I stood in a long line (which is always the case at this store) I watched as the cashier was more interested in talking with 2 other associates the entire time, she did not say hi or talk to any customer as she cashed them out and barely made eye contact with them. She only spoke to her coworkers. Handed me the receipt without looking at me or saying a word to me. Maybe she is new ( never seen her there before) and if that is the case she is in need of some more training or maybe there's a need for a front end manager to be up there to help keep the lines moving and make sure customers are not rudely ignored. read more

I love Runnings so much and I'm so happy they finally opened out here!!! Naturally, we had to come on opening night because it's my husbands favorite store. So we came, we saw, we loved it! For those who have never been, it's kind of a mashup of a Dick's, Tractor Supply Co and Lowe's. What does this mean, you ask? It means that have all the things! Camping stuff like tents, sleeping bags Hunting stuff like decoys, guns, ammo, targets, gun safes, etc A huuuuuge selection of tools- they have A LOT of Dewalt brand items, but they also have some Milwaukee, Diablo and a few other brands as well. Apparel- the best section is the Carhartt section! Farming Equpiment Outdoor patio furniture, fire pits, coolers, lawn ornaments, hoses, lawn mowers Kayaks Air conditioners and humidifiers Welding helmets & gear Fishing gear-so. Many. Poles. A gigantic pet section! Dog food, toys, beds, crates, treats, chews, cat litter, hutches for the buns, etc CHICKS AND DUCKS!!!! Runnings just opened up yesterday or the day before for a soft opening and I have never been to one before so didn't know what to expect. The grand opening will be in May. It was put into an old wal mart. They definitely remodeled and fixed up inside. New floors. Paint. It was really clean inside. It was packed and all the workers looked professional. This store has everything from food and snacks to power tools and everything in between. I will list some of the sections that were at the store below. You can being your dog into the store. Big dog toy/food section. Big boot and wrangler jean section. More clothes than I thought there would be. Huge camping/fishing/hunting section. There were kayaks as well. I was impressed and will be back. I have purchased a few firearms from this store. Chris , Joe and Keith are all great. All are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

Great selection of products! Employees are few and hard to find. When you do find one, they appear bothered by your question. "I don't work in this department." " What ever we have is on the shelves." Checking out is a chore. Usually one lane open. Six or seven people waiting in line. AND manager only has excuses. I only go there as a last resort. read more

For the products I wanted, it was a great experience. They have the lowest prices on pet food that I have seen anywhere as far as cat food goes. They carry the high quality brands that my cats love for much less than Pet Supplies Plus sells them for - even on sale! PSP lost me as a customer but their loss is Runnings' gain. Sometimes the wait at the cashier is a little lengthy but other than that, it's been a fine place to shop. read more

Their website advertised bird seed for $9.79 a bag but in store it rang up as $10.99. For 3 bags thats almost 4 bucks. The cashier said she didn't know if they priced matched and said I would have to get back in line at another register behind several other people to find out. I had called ahead and said I was coming in to fill some propane. When I got to the store I had purchased a refill and then I was told that the person who refills the propane went on break and then I would have to wait another 10 minutes. Running's in Lockport, NY Terrible experiences with this store, several times! My husband refuses to walk in there any more. Latest problem was they advertised a flat of 32 plants for $11.99, I went and bought two flats. I realized I needed one more flat, picked out what I needed and when I got to the cash register she tried to charge me $19.99 for it. I said oh, not, it's the one on sale and showed her the ad with it clearly listed and told her I had already bought two. She called the manager and he said, oh, we didn't get those plants in, and it's so it's $19.99 only for all of one kind of plant. He argued with me in front of a whole line of customers and wouldn't work with be at all. Finally I left the store in a huff and vowed never to set foot in there again. Or the first time this bait and switch tactic has happened and in general their customer service is terrible. I spend hundreds of dollars in there every two weeks in animal feed, they just lost a good customer. I'll go back to Tractor Supply where I've Never been treated like that! read more

Worst place to go get supplies, went in to get lynch pins for my tractor, the store associate didn't know what they were and said maybe in the farm section. I had to go walk down every isle is the farm section. When I couldn't find the ones I need I had to walk around for 15 minutes looking for someone to help me. I got tired of looking for some and just let. Drove right over to tractor supply and got what I needed. If anyone needs supplies go to tractor supply and not runnings the runnings people don't know there head from a hole in the ground. read more

This store is Tractor Supply, meets Home Depot, meets Big Lots. It's a hodgepodge of everything from light bulbs, to car tires to baby chicks. It's a welcome addition to our area, they moved Into an old Walmart. Prices are somewhat high to me. read more

My son bought a weed whacker here. It has a warranty we took it in for service it's now been almost 4 weeks. We called last night they said they had a technician going over it that it would be ready to pick up tomorrow. We drove out to Lockport from depew to pick it up. They told us it's not ready and they just started looking at it and they are backed up because their service guy is out. Why would they lie to us and tell us it's ready when they haven't even started it. This is used for my son's lawn care business. Needles to say this is not going over well when he tells them he can weed whack for them. Please tell us the truth. read more

first let me say that runnings is a great store! they have lots of stuff you might need if you have livestock or are an outdoorsman. great store for finding reloading needs like powder ETC. lots of tools for just about anything. now here's the rub at runnings, CHECKOUT they act like it is law to have only one line open! come on runnings we want to give you MONEY! open some more lines! There should not be a 40' line to checkout! Theres always employees wandering around in the store so put them in a checkout line till things slow down. Today i was standing about 30' in the only line open when a employee opened another line. I walked up to check out and she told me i could not go through her line because she wanted people from line 1 which I came from. I told her i was from line 1, she still was trying to tell me only people from line 1, that was enough for me I told her i was a paying customer and it did not matter where I came from. so in all a great store just be ready to stand in line for no real reason! read more

Went in on "Senior day" as part of their Grand opening. Phtt. Normal prices are above their competitors prices in the area. I was planning on buying a shotgun but was ignored by the guys behind the counter. Went up to check out with the items that I had and noticed that the women I had spoken to on the way in was still waiting to check out 45 minutes later. I asked if she'd been there the entire time and ,yes she had. Really? I wasn't going to wait an hour to give them my money, so I left with my money and went to Gander Mountain. This store won't last long if this is their idea of customer service. The Runnings web site is beyond useless when trying to find what they stock. I couldn't locate - shotguns, electro-braid fencing, shelter logic items on their web site, although it's in stock in their store. read more

We were really happy that a Runnings opened in Lockport as I have always been impressed with their immense selection of items. Everything from home, to the truck to the hunting cabin is covered. We went Sunday for their grand opening sale and it was certainly well attended. We picked up some pet supplies and several pairs of shoes when I went over to sporting goods to inquire about a rifle that I wanted to purchase. There were two younger employees behind the counter and another man who seemed to be operating in a Supervisory capacity. The Supervisor greeted me as I approached the department. After looking at some ammo I walked over to the counter to ask about the rifle I wanted to purchase. The Supervisor was gone, and the two associates stood at either end of the glass counter and booth went out of their way to ignore me. The young female was tagging some merchandise, but the young man was standing at the counter looking totally bored with life. I tried to make eye contact with him several times,but he avoided this. After about a minute of straining over the counter I gave up and walked towards him, at which point he turned away completely. Really? Are you kidding me???? The store just opened, so I doubt employee burn out is a problem with these kids. No way is this acceptable. There are local shops who will be more than happy take a $900 order from me. I told the Mrs. it was time to go and to leave the other goods as well. If Runnings' associates are this indifferent already, they will have a tough road ahead to build customer loyalty, especially with prices that were only equivalent to TSC and higher than Wally World. I looked for a manager on the way out, but it was a zoo by the checkout area and I did not want to waste any more time in a store which doesn't value my business. read more

I went in for vaccines for cats,first thing I ask walking through the door,is someone in the back I need some vaccines.. that was to avoid a lengthy wait. Oh yes someone's back there they said. ..oh good,thanks.. So I make my way to the back of the store .with my bad back.. and look around,nobody in sight .I stand back there 15 minutes.. manager guy walks right next to me getting paperwork or something ,never asks if I need help, Walks away musta heard me mutter under my mask this place sucks.. he says all you need to do is ask,I said I DID ask when I walked in! He walks away,like he's gonna find someone,,I'm still waiting I waited a half hour altogether,walked back up to counter said can you call someone back there . Cashier says yes if you want to go back and wait .I said NO I'm not walking back again have them bring it up,so we wait.... Nothing..crickets chirping. .. Finally cashier walks back.... And again crickets chirping and I WAIT . Keep in mind I was the ONLY customer in the store so it's not like they were busy! I finally said the hell with it ,walked out and drove a half mile to Tractor Supply was in and out in 10 minutes with my vaccines. Lockport Runnings your customer service STINKS.
