Initially I was happy with the evaluation and treatment at run lab. But then every time I came in there was a different person working with me and despite having to "tell my story" every time they seemed to have no history or records. I did a filming of my running but that was never assessed. It is just chaos in there most times. Treatments may be ok but you have to stay on top on what is needed, what kind of treatment you need to schedule and when. And yes don't be surprised if they randomly charge your credit card 6months after the fact or anytime in between that time frame. this place is just poorly managed, too bad on a good chiropractor and therapist (at least 1 or 2 of the ones that worked on me). read more

This morning I finished my therapy with the RunLab and I am super pleased with my results. They were able to take a odd issue in my foot and give the knowledge and tools to get me back running. Run Lab is much better than any other Physical Therapy I've ever had. I saw a PT for the same injury a few months ago. I learned some good exercises, but really didn't understand what the problem was nor what I could do at home to improve, so I stopped going and my injury just got worse. I am so glad that I called up Run Lab next. Not only did they clearly explain to me exactly what was going on, but they did so in incredible detail with video footage showing exactly what was happening with my biomechanics while also just being fun people to be around. They walked me through how to improve my gait, gave me exercises to do at home, and their sports massage therapists do an excellent job of helping accelerate your recovery. Plus, I know I can trust them once I'm healed to help me choose the right running shoes then actually set up a training program to meet my running goals. Most PT's get you on a schedule for like 6 or more weeks twice a week, which can be costly depending on your insurance, but Run Lab does a great job of being open and lenient and letting me choose just how often I want to come. If you're a runner, I HIGHLY recommend going to them. If you're not a runner, I still highly recommend going to them. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Mullen for a couple of years for everything from back pain to hamstring issues. I am never disappointed and always leave feeling better! I am a triathlete who competes in all distances and Dr. Mullen understands the demanding training schedule and an athlete's unwillingness to skip workouts. She always makes sure to tailor techniques specifically to your body and needs. RunLab is a great way to prevent injuries and get faster (because that is what we really want!). Kim and her team are fantastic. I started with a biomechanic stride assessment. After the initial analysis she was able to point out a mechanical issue with my running and prescribe exercises to correct the issue. Within one month I saw a 25% enhancement in my running pace with no issues. Since then, I have pulled a hamstring playing soccer and between Kim and CP at Catz Physical Therapy they have me well on my way to recovery and running again. I can't say enough about Kim and her personal and professional treatment of her clients, she's great. read more

I can't say enough good things about RunLab here in town! A few weeks ago, I began having pain in my hip while running. It got severe enough that I had to stop and walk a few times. Stretching seemed to help a little. But I was worried that all of my long miles had maybe finally caught up with me and that I had possibly done some damage. You hear all of the horror stories of how, "running is so bad for your body". But up until this point I've ran absolutely pain free. My first thought was to reduce my mileage for a little bit. Which I did. But the pain persisted. Second thought, take a little bit of time off. So I took a week off and the pain returned upon my next run. Third thought, go see a doctor and get an x-ray. Which I did. They saw nothing on the x-ray and the dr. diagnosed me with bursitis (a very vague term which basically means, inflammation). He recommended a large dose of ibuprofen and some physical therapy at their clinic. So within a few days I was in their clinic and all set to do whatever I had to do to get better. To make a long story short, I was not impressed at all by their methods. I didn't feel it was at all tailored to me as a runner and I felt it was all stuff I could have learned myself by just doing a little bit of research online. I'd seen Runlab before and decided I'd see what it was all about. I called and as luck would have it, they had an opening that afternoon. And even more amazingly, they take my insurance. I went in and was right away impressed with the friendly staff and their focus on me and my love of running (I've gotten pretty used to people thinking I'm an extremist and I'm weird). First thing I did was meet with Dr. Davis and go over my injury, my running history, mileage, etc. Next I was on the treadmill being filmed running. And While running I was told that my running cadence is 180. "Is that bad?" I asked. "No," he responded, "That's actually really good! The last guy was at 160. 180 is absolutely perfect!" And while running on it I felt that indescribable joy come back. I couldn't help but say out loud, "It feels so good to be running again!" Next I was examined by Dr. Davis and within minutes she found the problem. I had a golfball sized knot in my hip! I was so relieved that's all it was! She also explained to me that because of how flexible and limber I am, that stretching really isn't the greatest idea for me before I run because my muscles are already so springy and limber. What I need more than anything is stabilization. I was then shown how to sit and lay on a lacross ball and dig into those muscles that are bothering me. It's slightly painful, but in a good way. They were nice enough to give me a lacross ball to take home to work on those muscles daily. I then returned last night for a lesson in foam rolling (something I've been told, for a long time, that I need to do). And for the gnarliest deep tissue massage I've ever had. John asked about my pain tolerance and I replied, "just do whatever you have to do". I would've taken a pick axe in the back if it meant I can run again. He definitely took my words seriously. His elbow dug so deep into me at times that I felt like it might pop out through the other side of my body. But again, I was willing to do whatever it takes. And ya know what, this morning I feel great! I can barely feel the hip pain whatsoever! I am so ready for my race on Sunday. It's a very challenging half marathon with tons of hills. And while I know I won't do the best half I've ever done because of all the time I've had to take off and the difficulty level of the course, I will simply be so happy to be out running again and soaking up that energy you only feel at a race! Thanks so much to the staff at RunLab! I look forward to my Wednesday appointment where we will analyze my gait and help me take steps to make sure this hip problem does not happen again. In summary, I can't recommend this place enough! Oh yeah, and one last perk, once you've worked with them, you get running shoes from them at cost! The last year or so I have not been able to run more than 15-20 minutes without my left knee hurting. I tried many options (stretching, airrosti, etc.), then was recommended to RunLab by a friend. After videotaping me on a treadmill for 20 minutes, they immediately diagnosed my issue, and suggested two easy exercises to do on my own at home to strengthen my upper left glute. 6 weeks later, and I just finished an 8 mile run at 1:05 (fast for me) with no pain. I'm a 46 year old and have been to SO many physical therapy clinics off and on for back, hip or knee pain that I had lost faith there was anyone out there that could help anyone beyond the minimal needs of daily life. My primary doctor was going to send me to another one of 'those places' for my knee problems in August 2016. I searched YELP and gratefully found RunLab. Dr Davis saw me on my first appointment and immediately pinpointed some problems not only with the way I walk but also with the way I run. On a subsequent visit I ran on a treadmill for a gait analysis. John later reviewed the results with me and I knew what I needed to work on. After a few tweaks to my gait, my hip pain was gone quickly. I worked with Shane over the next few months building strength in areas that were deficient and would help alleviate hip and knee pain. Brent and LaQuanda worked on deep tissue which I found to really help any time a new pain crept back in with my increasing weekly mileage. I had another gait analysis and saw so much improvement. I really went in with the intention to simply keep my 3 mile morning runs pain free, but with Shane's encouragement I signed up for a 10 mile run in November 2016 and the 3M Half Marathon in January 2017. These people are amazing athletes and experts in helping people run to the best of their ability. I love RunLab and strongly recommend it if you want to run pain free and stronger. I am a 53 year old woman who started training for my first marathon in September... and wants to run into my 70's. When starting, I had so many questions about form and technique, but my running friend said "stop talking, and just run". I did, but after my first 18 mile run, ankle pain made me ask more questions which led me to RunLab. Boy... I wish I had come here BEFORE the marathon training. They know anatomy! After checking me out walking, hopping, running barefoot, running with shoes, etc., they diagrammed and pointed out my mechanics. Illuminating!! Runlab is helping me strengthen muscles I was previously clueless about and had no idea were beneficial to running. What can I say - they understand running and how to help people run stronger. I work primarily with John who is super knowledgeable and supportive and answers all my questions :) And EVERYONE at the office has been knowledgeable, encouraging and friendly to work with. I had a medial meniscus tear a few years back that required surgery to remove most of the meniscus, after surgery I never rehabbed enough to get back into a condition where I felt safe running or playing sports. I decided it was time to rehab my knee and chose RunLab just because they seemed like the most sports oriented PT place in town. It turns out I made a good choice, everyone there is an athlete that lives and breathes fitness and well being. They are super nice and personable, always checking in with any changes I'm experiencing in my workouts and customizing my treatment to my current needs. I usually work with John or Jimmy and it's obvious they really know the science behind what they're talking about. They broke down the muscle imbalances I've created and explained how my old running form contributed to those imbalances as well as showing me the correct way to run along with having me do exercises to activate proper muscle engagement. I would recommend RunLab to anyone but especially athletes, if you're serious about your training and have something that's ailing you this is the place to get it taken care of! I'm running again a few times a week and starting to think about playing sports again. My knee is more stable, I have a much greater range of motion and I've learned a handful of things I can do on my own to improve my progress. I have no doubt that by the end of my treatment I'll at least be back to where I was pre surgery if not much better off. read more

Great place for runners. Highly recommended. I had a damaged hamstring from a pull several months ago and lazy left leg which severely slowed my already casual 61-year-old stride. My 3 month time with RunLab enabled continuation with my 18-week training program and successfully completing a hilly marathon last Saturday. I have completed over 30 marathons and 30 ultramarathons in my early days. Finishing this marathon was a great victory for this retired disabled veteran. The RunLab team offers outstanding and effective treatment for runners. This includes gate analysis, physical therapy, exercises and recommendations for running shoes. I continue to perform the RunLab exercises at home. Thanks to RunLab, I run faster with less injuries. My hamstring injury is nearly healed and my running gate is far more efficient. My purposeful pace during the marathon was enough to finish 2d in my age group. I will definitely return to RunLab for physical therapy and shoes, and of course, if I have further injuries. read more
