I went up to get Kip, and as is Petco's practice, the groomer brings the dog out to you and explains how everything went. The young lady at the cash register is also very cordial. I have left positive reviews about Petco before but I would like to add this ... I arrived to get Kip and I was a little early so I used the time to walk around the store a bit and buy him a new flea and tick collar. I am amazed at how orderly the store is. Customers have a great deal of choice on all products whether it's toys, leashes, collars, food, etc. Staff members are very helpful. This is a great store!!! If you have any pets, make it a habit and go to Petco.

She's been on it about six weeks now. Drove half hour to have her groomed at the Smithfield, R.I. location today only to be told she can't be groomed there while on Prozac. What? So she can never be groomed again? Canceled a membership for both my dog and cat that we have had for years. Absolutely ridiculous! Took her to PetSmart instead. Called ahead. No issue with her being on Prozac. You lost a long time customer PETCO! I understand not being able to bring her in on a sedative but this is a long term medication not a PRN.

They are also a small boutique, but I didn't shop. (The selection is fairly small.) My review is based on the grooming. The space is neat and organized. It smells good inside. The staff is friendly. There are lots of add-ons: I chose specialty cut & the details (teeth brushing, nail filing) which did Drive up the price. ($45 became $71) I will probably not do the extra details every time, but I do love that it only took 1.5 hours vs 3 or more at other places. This also means that they conditioned and brushed out her legs instead of shaving them for her schnauzer cut. My dog was tired but happy when I picked her up... and very proud of herself! Some things to keep in mind: Wednesday is their only long day and the latest grooming appt is 5pm. I booked my next one two months in advance. Tips are cash or check only! Bottom line, it feels good to support a local business that does good work!

This is definitely a puppy mill. There were about half a dozen puppies locked up in cages that were…read moreabout the size of a standard moving box. They all looked very sad and were of mostly the same breed. There were fish tanks filled with algae growth. With aisles were small, it smelled like rabbit pee and there were no rabbits. There were 3 birds, a few betas, one filled fish tank, and the cages of pups. The whole place was a mess with hoses and all sorts of stuff lying around. Also, when you walk in, the door makes the loudest most obnoxious ding I've ever heard. I did not see anyone working there until we tried to walk down the messiest aisle that had a bird out of its cage, and he suddenly appeared and I think he said we're not supposed to go over there. Not really sure. Anyway, this place should probably be closed down.

My wife and I are extremely happy that we discovered this place a while back when we started a new saltwater tank (the first of several!) We're pretty much regulars at this point, often visiting this store every week or two. Our kids love it here as well, and they look forward to seeing all the interesting marine life and learning more about the hobby whenever we stop in. John, the owner, came off as a bit standoffish at first but he's actually very friendly and knowledgeable. The store is often quite busy and I get the impression that he deals with a large number of people who come in the shop just to look at interesting fish or "kick the tires." He warmed up after we had been there two or three times and it became obvious we were interested in more than just looking around. He's provided some great insight, has special ordered a few bulbs for me, etc. I think one of the most telling things about Sea Creatures is the fact that there's almost always one or two "fish guys" around. There are numerous avid hobbyists who frequent this location and at least one can generally be found sitting in the store chatting with the owner and customers about their tanks, giving friendly advice, discussing various setups, etc. As far as I know none of these individuals is employed by the shop and they simply choose to hang around out of their love for the hobby. To me, this speaks volumes about the type of place Sea Creatures really is. This isn't a store that was opened just to make a buck like the big box chain stores. In fact, the owner has actually discouraged me from buying things on several occasions (he indicated that I didn't need a few items I had planned to buy and told me it would be a waste of money to purchase them.) This is a place that cares about the animals and the hobbyists equally and actively seeks to promote a friendly learning environment for people of all experience/knowledge levels. I've attached pictures of some of the "sea creatures" in my home that we've gotten here to date! All in all, this is an exceptional place. I anticipate my family and I continuing to be regular customers for a long time to come.

He was so helpful and nice and he went above and beyond to help me. He showed me what isle my stuff was on, and I saw a price that didn't look like it was correct the item was originally 16.99 but it said on sale for 1.98 , so I asked and he checked for me, I was so excited I went to grab a carriage and cleared out the whole rack. Ricardo put each mulch into the carriage for me I ended up getting 5 of them and he told me he would double check and make sure there's none in the back, and if so I could have those as well. He did indeed check but I had all the ones they had in stock. It was the smile and help he gave me that made me so happy, and I'm glad he went above and beyond and sincerely wanted to help he even said if there's any issues at the register let them know he said we already spoke and the price was indeed right, I appreciate this because so many times you go to stores and they have a price and it's marked wrong and they argue with you and don't want to price adjust it, but when I went to the register no issues at all. The lady at the front was really nice as well , very pleasant all smiles and took her time with each customer and didn't rush us along I didn't catch her name sadly. This store is always so clean and even though it's a pet store it's never loud or rowdy in here, which makes it good for bringing your pets in here knowing they won't have anxiety from commotion.
