The quality of food is decent but customer service leaves much to be desired. As someone who has worked in the food industry for 6 years there are certain do's and dont's that a restaurant should adhere to. There is never "nothing to do." When not serving guests you can contribute to kitchen cleanliness, stocking utensils, checking on restroom cleanliness, etc. Never under any circumstance does kitchen staff sit in the back room on top of a dirty trashcan within eyeshot of guests. That immediately puts a bad taste in your mouth for the establishment. There was no washing of hands before walking back onto the line either. We walked in and ordered the chicken rice bowl, they were cooking some up fresh so we had to wait about 10 minutes. However, it was so very worth it! Get it with the "Rumbi Rice" and brace yourself for an explosion of taste. My mother got the Fish Tacos, and let me say that they were incredible as well. I honestly don't know if it's the fact that I'm a poor, starving, college student and everything always tastes great--or it was quality food. But either way, I'm telling you to try both. The atmosphere is fun. They had a television in the corner that was playing Frozen, so I channeled my inner Elsa whilst inhaling chicken and rice. That movie was very appropriate as well, seeing as it was like the freakin' arctic in there. If you read my reviews you should know by now that I am constantly freezing and almost every restaurant I go to is icy cold. So BRING A COAT--I honestly felt like Arendelle had "Frozen" over and Rumbi's had been brought along for the ride. There is also real silverware for you to eat with--they always have some "hard water spots" on them, but that just means they really do wash them, right? I have been using Rumbi for decades. I cater with them significantly. Experience I had at the Logan Rumbi was very disheartening. Not only were they not allow me to use my catering points, after all was said and done, Igor the receipt and I was charged for drinks I never ordered. In California we are being taken over by "Hawaiian BBQ" joints that are basically low cost/quality Chinese food places with a couple of specialty items. Rumbi is a cheap "tiki" style fast food chain that combines your ability to get a burger or a stir fry. As a vegetarian, I only really had one option there, which was a bowl of rice with steamed vegetables. The veggies were barely steamed, so they were dry and not very good, and the rice was boring. I asked for no sauce because all of their sauces are corn syrup based, and I didnt want to get diabetes from a vegetable dish. This disappointing venture cost me about $12 including an unsweetened iced tea, which was the only non corn syrup drink available. Still probably better than anything you can get next door at Subway, but very disappointing and outrageous. read more

Very disappointed in their customer service. Ate lunch there today and noticed I was overcharged for my meal. I asked the cashier Jessica why I wasn't charged the menu price, she got very defensive and said that was the price & not the one listed on the menu. I told them they needed to update their menu prices & charge what was listed. Jessica was very rude, and I told her that I don't go to businesses to pay to be treated poorly. She could've kindly explained the menu or any extra charges that weren't listed on my receipt. I will not be going back to eat here again nor will family & friends. The address is wrong on this yelp. Rumbi is located farther south by the Walmart. But our tastebuds and keen sense of smell lead us right to this Hawaiian-style hotspot. We met our cute college girls here for a family dinner. We knew we needed some big eaters, as the plates are quite large and the serving sizes aren't for the weak bellied ;) We shared 2 orders of Hawaiian teriyaki chicken bowl and a cabo fish taco. We also needed 2 orders of rumbi fries (a delicious mix of sweet taters and originals). Be sure to get the side of special pink sauce for dipping. Our food arrived and was excellent. Service was great but it was SO cold in the dining room! We had to hurry our meal and our conversation. Brrrr. The meal was served with rumbi rice which is a mixture of coconut rice and black beans. The chicken was tasty and veggies were fresh and cook to perfection. Be sure to use the extra teriyaki sauce for added flavor and moistness. The winner of the night, was the fish tacos! The fish was cooked to perfection and wrapped in corn shells topped with special sauce and covered in chunky tomato salsa. I will be returning for more tacos here!! Nailed it !! I ordered two normal meal, a side of fries and a kids meal and it cost $32+ tax and tip, AFTER using a $5 off coupon. (Meaning the 2 dishes, a side of fries and a kids meal cost $37 before tax and tip, and this is without ordering drinks.) Come on. This is not high-end food. Rumbi deserves 4 stars for great tasting food, but service that is a little slow. The food was delicious. There was a lot of rice and a ton of vegetables in the bowl I got. A good amount of meat too! Everything was fresh and a good temperature. I do wish they gave a little more sauce as it is just a small cup. It was enough to cover things, but I prefer more sauce than less. Even though there weren't a lot of people, the line to order was a little slow. The girl taking our order was friendly, but was also answering the phone and taking orders there too which was a little annoying when she was in the middle of taking the order of a customer already at the counter. We came here tonight with a group of six people. We got there around 5:30 and were able to pull some tables together. When we left it was pretty full though. This Rumbi produces the worst burgers in Cache Valley and there's some stiff competition for that title. The rice bowls are also frequently cold and the steak is super poor quality. Terrible service! I have tried to give this place a chance several different times but am disappointed every time. I went in tonight at 8:35 p.m. and they were very unhappy we were there since they close at 9:00. We started to order and they told us if we can hurry and eat then we could order. While we were eating they turned away 4 other people. They were turning away people at 8:45 p.m. This is the second experience we have had like this with the same employee. In regards to the one review, you cant get diabetes from eating sweet foods. It is genetic and there is no such thing as sugar diabetes. You just have to watch what you eat when you are diabetic. As for the steamed veggies, steaming means that veggies are partially cooked and they are supposed to be a little crunchy. read more
