I had been a customer at Newlin's for quit some time. Being new to the area I was looking for a…read moreplace that would service my cars without me getting ripped off. Although it is a family environment, there seemed to be a bit of a power struggle between the father who was retired, and his son( who is currently running the business). Their prices eg. labor is always higher than the dealership. One time I was quoted a price for the work being done on my auto on my way to pick the vehicle up only to then be told that because of the extra time that was being spent on the vehicle they decided to mark up the labor cost. I mean where do you go and the company calls you with a quoted price that you both agree upon, only to arrive and find out that they are charging you a much high price??? This conversation was all done with the Sr. Newlin, since his son was not available. Needless to say I just paid just so I could get my car. I called that weekend leaving a detail message explaining what my concerns were and why I would be stopping payment on the check. As I stated, I get that Bob Newlin Jr. was upset by this action and as he stated he would have made things right which he did, but what customer wants to go through being misquoted which has happened on more than one occasion. This incident took place a while back. I don't know if things have changed or not but to those that are searching please beware.

The guy was extremely rude, we told him that this kind of fix averages from $80 to $240, he told us to fix it ourselves and that he can return our car unfix but we still needs to pay $90. Never going back there again. Give yourself a favor and find real car mechanics!

Absolutely terrible experience. I took my car in for A/C repair and brake adjustment after being…read morequoted around $150 for A/C and $270 for brake. Once they already had my car, the price suddenly increased to $235 with no proper explanation. Then they called asking if I wanted a state inspection because it was expiring soon. I clearly told them NOT to do the state inspection yet, but they ignored my instructions, completed it anyway, and charged me for it. Later, when I returned to complete the emissions inspection and get the stickers, they claimed I had to do the safety inspection again. On top of the confusion and unnecessary charges, the owner had a very rude attitude. Every time I tried to explain the situation and point out their mistake, he kept interrupting me and telling me to "keep quiet." Completely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior toward a customer. This place seems more interested in adding charges and arguing with customers than providing honest service. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. ZERO STAR.

I've had the misfortune to require repair work on two cars over the last two summers. Based on…read moreConcord Auto Body Shop's reputation we took our Jeep Grand Cherokee for an estimate last summer and were hoping to have it scheduled for repair while we were away for a 2 week summer vacation out west. Concord Auto Body was extremely busy, but Pete was very accomodating and said he could fit us in while we were away on vacation. We were kept informed on the progress and any additional potential work while we were gone. While still away we were informed that the car was ready and we could pick it up when we returned. The Jeep looked perfect when we arrived to pick it up. The car was also immaculately cleaned which was a bit unexpected. Considering we have two young kids it was a very nice sight to see the car look brand new on the inside and out! In June of this year we had to take my BMW 3 series in for a minor scrape on the front left fender/bumper area. I was dreading the potential cost of this one because a family member had scraped the car with his car and we were not handling through insurance. I feared the worst in terms of damage cost even though the damage didn't look "that bad". Again, we arrived at Concord Auto Body on the verge of a trip to the Delaware coast for a week and were hoping we could get fit in while we were gone. Pete, again was extremely accomodating and said they would fit us in. He gave us an extensive review of what would need to be done to fix the damage including several potential addtional significant costs that might be incurred depending on what was found underneath the bumper and the various sensor for park distance, etc. We were again kept informed throughout from the call a week in advance of our drop off as a friendly reminder and during our trip to inform us what was done and when the car would be ready for pick up. Upon our return yesterday, the car was sitting there waiting for us. The car looked perfect like it just came off the show room floor of the dealership. Pete and the crew inside were extremely friendly and we joked around about how my Dad still wouldn't be invited over for Thanksgiving for damaging my car. As I got into the car, I was again floored by how clean the car was on the inside as well as the perfect fix on the outside. I genuinely felt like I was driving a brand new car again! Thanks Pete and everyone at Concord Auto Body Shop. You do fantastic work! I hope I never have to see you again, but if I'm in need of repair work in the future, I will definitely be seeing you!
