Brandy is a perfect fit for us and so loving. We have boarded her twice at Our Pals Place and their attentiveness to our questions, or instructions on what our Brandy eats. They let us bring her bed, blanket, toy, food and meds. Gigi, the Owner and Director is on site, and she makes everything so easy. We were on vacation, and we received two photos of our Brandy playing with large and small dogs. They introduced her to others slowly to make sure all was alright. Our Pal's Place is by far #1 in our book for this area. Privately run and not a large corporate boarding facility. I cannot say enough. Thank you, Gigi and your staff.

We found a beautiful German Shepard mix today at the Dollar Store up the street. We could tell the…read moredog belonged to someone because the dog looked very well cared for (the dog looked to be at least 80 pounds or more) but its obvious he is lost. The poor guy kept going up to every car in the parking lot hoping he would bump into someone he knew. At one point he actually ran toward the main intersection and we actually had to run out to grab him. After a quick search on Google we found Our Pal's and decided to bring the lost dog here to see if we can find his owner. We talked to Gigi the owner who was so nice and helpful. She gave us the name of a vet down the street (Shallowford Animal Hospital) who could check to see if he is chipped. We could tell Gia cared about our lost dog and even gave us a really strong leash to use... Thanks to Our Pal's we were able to find the lost dog's owner. Thanks Gia and the staff here....you guys are an animal's best friend.

I recently brought home two teacup Yorkshire Terriers, and I am absolutely in love with them. From the moment I picked them up, I could tell how much love and care had gone into raising them. One of them, Tiny, went straight to the pee wee pad when we got home--such a smart little guy! His older brother Titan loves to cuddle and falls asleep in my sisters arms when she hold him. Seeing how they behave really shows how well they're cared for and prepped before going to their forever homes. I found this rescue though one of my scouts. We were camping one weekend and found two tiny kittens…read morethat, of course, came home with me. I contacted Dana, she helped get me though the night with how to feed and take care of the babies until I could get them to her and her baby expert the next day! They were quickly adopted by their foster. Seeing all of the stores on their page helped me get my scouts involved with the rescue and helping out. I also fostered a cat who had a traumatic injury, was on the list to die at animal control until Dana and her crew saved him, fixed his broken jaw and gave him a chance!! He is now fat, healthy and happy!! The reviews about this rescue could not be more wrong! I have seen these volunteers drive hundreds of miles to saves cats from euthinazia, seen them spend their own money for food and supplied and vet bills and work 7 days a week 12 &13 hour days. Cats get sick but they are quickly quarantened and treated! Visit for yourself before taking the review by either disgruntled volunteers or those who you can't do anything to make them happy!

She was too young to eat solid food and extremely fragile. I took her to this organization and it took a month of round the clock care before she was healthy enough for me to adopt her. Here are my initial observations: 1) The kitten and senior cat rooms are separate, and are well kept. 2) Yes they run freely, but within the confines of their respective rooms 3) They have a military discount for veterans. 4) They will adopt out furbabies with FIV, etc. I actually pet a small kitten and realized he had a neuro condition poor thing, but nothing was mentioned about it before entering the room. 5) the kitten room has plenty of space for the kitties but only comfortably accommodates 2 couples, especially when children are in tow. So plan your visit accordingly. 6) Public hours are on weekends today's having at least 5 friendly volunteers fit just sitting at the front office, so NO reason for them not to answer the phone - and YES, it's an unfortunate truth fur weekdays AND weekends. 7) Visit early to catch them in more interactive moods, where you can observe their truer personalities and 8) 6Lastly, but DEFINITELY NOT LEAST, while we were properly greeted and briefed, let's just say there was definitely an initial double take and a few stares that lingered just a nanosecond too long (We're a mixed couple) IYKYK Overall, our experience was a mixed bag. Not to sure if I would recommend.

Christine and Kevin have welcomed Moonlight into their family from her first visit. They have been the most accommodating. While most places are hesitant to board a German Shepherd, after Moonlight met Christine, she immediately followed her commands and have bonded with both of Christine & Kevin. They play with her and take her on walks - two of Moonlight's favorite activities. Moonlight has separation anxiety issues, but she has found a second home at Crabapple Bed & Bones. For a dog who doesn't even let other people touch her, on her most recent visit, Moonlight came home nicely shampooed and groomed. Having Moonlight under Christine and Kevin's care while we are away gives us the peace of mind knowing that she is well taken care of. Many thanks to Crabapple Bed & Bones family.
