I did a little research and found East Marietta Animal Hospital. I went in and met a very nice staff at the desk. I got prices for the same services. They were much more reasonable. They also had good reviews. I brought my pup in for his appointment. Dr Christine was excellent. She was on the floor loving my pup while poking and prodding. I was very happy with her. I spent $130 less than my original vet, including 6 mo flea, tick and heart worm meds.

In despair, we we began reaching out to friends who are educators with the HRS and their friends of friends, and through that we were referred to this practice and had two separate individuals refer both Dr. Wilson and Dr. Oguni of the vet clinic west. We called the practice, and told them of our sensitive situation, the conflicting advise we had been given from another practice. They were so attentive of our needs and concerns and were able to see us in a timely manner on such short notice. We've had two appointments back to back now with Dr. Wilson, and he, his staff and the practice as a whole is a breath of fresh air, especially as a bunny owner. The staff knows how to properly hold the rabbit, and in a calm manner. Dr. Wilson is extremely knowledgeable and thorough with his consulting, and leaves little room for you to be confused or not understanding. His smarts are equalled with compassion, too which goes a long way in this field, I believe. We are feeling so confident, and please me with this practice, that we are bringing our other bunny in for a checkup, as well as bringing our cats in to be their primary practice. Dr. Melinda Cindea is ridiculously unprofessional and rude. I have 2 pets and had to bring them a total of 5 times in 30 days for regular and follow up appointments. Each time I left spending $180-$300. The vet techs have little information to give you and the 4 out of 5 appointments I had to deal with Dr. Melinda Cindea she was dismissive, made snide remarks, or just overloaded you with information to the point where you had to ask a million clarifying questions... I think she did that intentionally to be confusing. On my 2nd to last visit I paid $277. Soon after I left I received a call where the phone rang once (I assumed it was a misdial), so I didn't call back because it was after 9 and they close at 9. My last visit, they told me I had a $110 balance from the week prior. I asked the tech why and she couldn't explain it. Dr. Melinda Cindea came in, didn't acknowledge me as a person in the room, gave my dog a 3 minute assessment, and later demanded I pay the balance. They also made mention of calling "several times" to address said unpaid balance. I told her I received one call and she cut me off saying they called from a different number and there was a record of the calls "she had just looked at" to which she did not show. Overall, this was a very sour experience, and after I let her know I wouldn't be coming back because of my experience with her directly, she responded, "That's fine" as if she owns the clinic herself. I don't recommend this clinic. Money is their interest, not your experience patronizing their business.

The vet tech went back and a conversation occurred with Dr. Day. She did not want to "get in the middle of" a lost dog and the dog should go to the pound. All of these conversations occurred in the back but I could hear all of the commentary clear as day. I informed the vet tech that posters had been posted (physical and e-postings), the Cobb county pound had been notified, and I just wanted to make sure the dog was healthy while we continued to look for the owner. Another back room conversation occurred and I finally opened the door to inform the group that I could hear them. If they did not want to provide services I can find another vet. I was just trying to do the right thing by the dog. I felt so uncomfortable and judged by Dr Day for being a descent human being. It's funny because we usually go to Powers Ferry Animal Hospital but I'm searching for a closer vet since we just moved to the area. Booked apt and was quoted $68.50…read more Arrived at apt, they took my dog back and held her for 15 minutes while attempting to aggressively upsale me on additional services via Dr. Samantha Warner. When I declined and said I could only afford the heartworm test, they told me they wouldn't give me a rx for a year, only for 4 months eventhough all past blood tests are good for 1year. This is called extortion and unfair business practices. They lost a potential client for thousands over $75. I will now be switching to "Ask the Vet" mobile vet service for at home visits only. Highly recommend. 1-866-880-7443. I've used them before and should've just stayed with them. It's worth any extra fees for competent, kind care for your furry loved ones.
