He was very prompt in responding, and answered all our questions/concerns thoroughly. We had 2 ceremonies and 1 reception all in one day, and DJ Riz was very accommodating to our needs. He was very understanding and patient when it came to putting our song selections together, and made sure to clarify any discrepancies/missing items. DJ Skillz was our DJ on-site and he was AMAZING! To give you an idea, this was a Gujarati and Malayalee wedding, but we had a broad range of ages and cultures in our guestlist. DJ Skillz had them ALL on the dancefloor! I'm talking our 80 year young grandmothers, the Priestess, the Pastor, they were all busting moves. The atmosphere Skillz created with his music was exactly the kind of vibe we were hoping for. Both Desi and non-Desi guests have told us they had such an amazing time on the dancefloor, and wished the dancefloor was open longer! We are beyond thankful to DJ Riz, his incredible team, and DJ Skillz for their hard work and expertise in making our wedding day so enjoyable and memorable!

From start to finish, Aaron brought the energy, enthusiasm, and expertise that made our wedding reception truly unforgettable. As a DJ, Aaron did an exceptional job personalizing the music to our tastes. He took the time to understand our preferences and crafted a playlist that perfectly captured the vibe we were going for. Not only that, but Aaron also seamlessly incorporated our guests' song requests, ensuring that everyone had a chance to hit the dance floor and dance to their favorite tunes. In addition to their skills as a DJ, Aaron also served as a fantastic MC for the evening. His charismatic personality and polished professionalism shone through as he guided our guests through the evening's festivities, from introductions to special dances and cake cutting. One of the things that impressed us most about Aaron was his attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to make our wedding day special. He took the time to meet with us beforehand to discuss our music preferences and detailed out our reception timeline, and then executed everything flawlessly on the big day. Aaron also made sure that our officiant (a friend who we asked to perform our ceremony for us) was coached to help guide our guests with the correct queues to help transition everything seamlessly. To anyone in search of the perfect DJ/MC for their wedding or special event, look no further than Aaron at Uptown Sound. His talent, professionalism, and infectious energy will undoubtedly take your celebration to the next level. Thank you, Aaron, for being such an integral part of our special day!

On the event day, Sailen was arrived really early and was super helpful when the event planner wasn't there. He knew where most thing should go, what color lights work for the event, etc. The music was amazing! He was also into the event and you could see him with a huge smile, encouraging the attendees and playing off our energy. I was incredibly disappointed in the service I was given over this past weekend. Our wedding was…read moreJune 4th, and unfortunately our special day was not a top priority for DJ Mike. When I communicated a certain genre to DJ Mike, he would laugh at me and say, "I get it, I get it. You like country". Yes, we are country music fans. I had numerous conversations via phone calls and emails about what I had expected for my wedding. I communicated everything very clearly, with timelines, song times, certain songs, ect. I even typed up the songs with times of when to start them. I had a certain song I wanted played right after we said "I do", and Mike was fully aware of what was expected before, during and after my ceremony. We were absolutely humiliated when after we said "I do", our song did not play so we had to awkwardly walk down the isle to no music. DJ Mike sprinted outside the doors after we had already made it down the isle. We were so embarrassed, that I went into my bridal suite and cried. I had also communicated what was expected during the reception. I told him requests were allowed. I had multiple friend and family members request songs that he would not play. I had also requested prior to the day, certain songs to be played, that he did not play. He played several songs multiple times, including an annoying Miley Cyrus song that people were sick of hearing. We heard that specific song 3 times that night. You only get married once (for some anyways), and you want that special night to be perfect and go a specific way, especially when you've been planning and creating that evening for years. I wouldn't wish the humiliation that I felt yesterday on anybody. For as long as we're alive, we will never forget the embarrassment we felt up there at that altar. DJ Mike took our special moment from us and we will never get it back. It was completely ruined because of him.
