The man in charge of the sound did not know what he was doing and it showed throughout the reception. The aux from the sound system also messed up and my brother ended up taking a corded microphone and putting it to the projector. This was a wedding reception for 400 people. The sound system made the event look cheap and dysfunctional. The worst part of this was when I contacted Steve. He apologized for the ordeal but his solution to the mistake on his part was a $50 refund... We spent over $2000 on the setup. I really liked working with Steve prior to all this. However, this was not how I wanted my wedding reception to turn out.

He was very prompt in responding, and answered all our questions/concerns thoroughly. We had 2 ceremonies and 1 reception all in one day, and DJ Riz was very accommodating to our needs. He was very understanding and patient when it came to putting our song selections together, and made sure to clarify any discrepancies/missing items. DJ Skillz was our DJ on-site and he was AMAZING! To give you an idea, this was a Gujarati and Malayalee wedding, but we had a broad range of ages and cultures in our guestlist. DJ Skillz had them ALL on the dancefloor! I'm talking our 80 year young grandmothers, the Priestess, the Pastor, they were all busting moves. The atmosphere Skillz created with his music was exactly the kind of vibe we were hoping for. Both Desi and non-Desi guests have told us they had such an amazing time on the dancefloor, and wished the dancefloor was open longer! We are beyond thankful to DJ Riz, his incredible team, and DJ Skillz for their hard work and expertise in making our wedding day so enjoyable and memorable!

After reviewing his website, and talking to him about what our…read moreorganization needed for an event, Mike provided a thorough estimate of his service fees, outlining the equipment, the hours, the genres of music, etc. Impressive. And the day of the event, DJ Mike showed up an hour early and began set-up. He helped get the party going by playing music while we prepared for guests. During the gathering, DJMike kept an eye on the crowd and played songs to keep up the momentum. When we had raffles, DJMike would play a drumroll or the "Jeopardy" theme. So fun! The music was never too loud nor too soft. DJ Mike modulated the volume or stopped all together whenever a speaker had the mike. Professional. DJ Mike stayed an hour after the event, loading his equipment. A friend and I are already hiring him for another event slated for early April - - a 100th birthday celebration! And DJMike promises he'll have enough "golden oldies" to keep everyone happy. We have no doubt. Yelpers, do not hesitate to book DJ Mike. A class act.

Jeff is a tall clean cut guy with a nice demeanor. Everyone who planned for the wedding was really impressed by his performance. He has a unique ability to feel the environment of the room and adjust the music accordingly. That is, he is excellent to adapting his environment. I gave him discretion on the type of music to play, and he somehow played the right songs at the appropriate moment. Jeff's music is not distracting. I have been to some weddings where the DJ is very distracting. It is apparent that the DJ in such weddings are trying to impress the party with their technical skills. Jeff does not do this. He makes sure that the guests and the wedding party gets the attention. Jeff did an excellent job introducing the wedding party, pronounced the names perfectly, played the appropriate music for dinner and the dance session. Great job, Jeff.
