I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with RUDSAK. I purchased a smart jacket for around $700-$800, expecting premium quality and service. Unfortunately, after just one wear, I noticed a defect in the jacket. When I went to the store, I was told to contact the company directly since it was an online purchase. After sharing all required details with customer service, the only solution offered was to send the jacket back at my own expense for repair. For a product at this price point, this is unacceptable. A defective item after one use should be replaced or refunded, and at the very least, return shipping should be covered. This experience does not reflect the level of quality or customer service expected from a premium brand. Very disappointed with both the product and after-sales support. read more

I had an issue that I tried to resolve at the store when I did the purchase and left slightly disappointed. I wrote directly to the company and got the runaround. We returned and store staff resolved the issue. Unfortunately, as the weather turned windy and cold, I decided to attach the beautiful hood - it keeps unsnapping and falling off. I recall that the sales associate, upon purchase, was having difficulty attaching the hood and as it was busy, said I would do it at home. Despite returning to the store and sending emails to the company and using the chat box....here I am, almost one month after purchase with no reply from customer service. The store continually refers me to customer service. I see that there is a totally different type of snap on the jacket my husband purchased - stronger - larger - and stays put. Extremely disappointed - unethical and misleading practices We've purchased five jackets from Rudsak over the years because we believed in the quality and their so-called "lifetime warranty." Unfortunately, that turned out to be completely false. One of the jackets ripped at the elbow -- normal wear and tear -- and Rudsak refused to repair, replace, or even offer a store credit. Their customer service was dismissive and unhelpful, and they take zero accountability for their products despite their warranty claims. This company promotes a "warranty" that they clearly have no intention of honoring. Very poor ethics and very poor customer support. Absolutely terrible! Don't waste your money. Bought a red jacket and the red liner inside it stained all my light coloured shirts, and they refuse to admit that it their jacket liner blood, I sent pictures when it was clear you could clearly see that the red transferred to my shirt and stained my expensive sweaters. they even pretended to replace the liner and send it back to me un-replaced. terrible customer service, and terrible quality. read more

I received a gift of a rudsak jacket valued at approx $1000. The zipper came off in less than a year. Yes they offer a warranty but they only will accept a mailed return. I kept saying I can't do that at -20. They said they can repair in spring. Really? The store where purchased wanted nothing to do with it and would not give me any contact info. I had an issue with a purchase and spoke to Kylia a sales associate at the Shorthills mall in NJ. She was the nicest and most helpful person and went above and beyond for me. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. She treated me with respect and kindness and put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. She is a real gem in the retail world and I wish that there were more sales associates like her. if buying online, or relying on the manufacture warranty, try a store that accepts returns and exchanges in person/in store. They do not do exchanges or returns here. They state your only option is to contact your bank to dispute the transaction. After 30+ days and phone calls from the bank to clarify information, you will likely get money returned thanks to the banks investigation. The companies legally required to answer the banks inquiry. They will not help you directly at all. I shipped boots back for exchange of a size, in perfect condition (tried on inside once and put immediately back into box as it was found), and they confirmed delivery of the boots back to them. They sent a vague email stating I'll get my return, exchange or refund. I clicked a link to their website on that email and it showed I had a new order placed for the larger size. The link stopped working after some time so I called customer service. They couldn't tell me any details regarding the exchange and stated I would get a refund. They didn't have any details regarding the refund, such as what card the payment would be refunded to. They told me to contact my bank when I questioned how they could not have my last 4 digits of my card, at least. They don't have adequate documentation and prove to be unreliable, so I don't trust their warranty. They have warm winter clothing, but after one wash the jacket I ordered had a thread coming out of the seams (about 8 inches worth of thread sticking out, but secured into the seam at each end). No holes, yet. I don't trust their lifetime manufacture warranty because I don't trust I'll get my product shipped back to me. The bank may not accept a dispute in the case of warranty, because if I say the jacket was washed according to their instructions and they say otherwise, who will the bank think is truthful? RUDSAK also doesn't allow exchanges and returns in-store from online purchases. They really force you to be in a vulnerable position, possibly dumping money into them for nothing in return. Very horrible reliability. The clothing is the warmest I've had, so it's a shame. But I would look into how mooseknuckles and mackage takes returns and exchanges if you're buying online. If they take them in-store, that's an immediate result. Everything looked legitimate at RUDSAK up until their vague email and uninformed phone discussion. So otherwise, I don't know how you could avoid this circumstance. read more

Who came first Rudsak or M0851 (formerly Rugby North America)? The store is nice and well laid out, staff friendly and prices reasonable, however Rudsak still seems like a cheaper imitation version of M0851. The leather is of a poorer quality (calfskin on the surface that flakes off with age) and their latest seasonal line comes with their company name plastered over some of the goods. If you want a new bag, wallet or coat and want to invest and own a classic item that will age, visit M0851 on St. Laurent instead. read more

Worst coat of my life. I noticed it was broken as soon as I got it home. Only when I posted the horrific photos all over Twitter, facebook and Instagram is when Rudsak rushed to try and make it better. A $600 coat should not be broken the second you get it home. I wore the coat once and noticed a rip under the armpit, the sharp metal bar shaping the fur came out and began to stab me and the zipper fell apart before my eyes. I also found out the hard way that the Rudsak policy is no return and no refund if you buy an item with any promotion. Only exchange. They always put something online that is not available at the store nor online and you have to run around calling stores and the warehouse to find out at the end that it is not in stock. The sales representative was very patient and friendly, I really appreciated all her help to answer my questions and try on jackets (30-40 minutes in store). I purchased one of the higher line jackets, and they put it aside for me to pick-up after work. After 1.5 weeks of wearing it (wore it ~5x), I noticed a seam came undone (hanging straight) near inner zipper, and then a few days later a seam just hung like a loop on the outer part of the jacket. I also noticed how easily this jacket flakes (tiny tiny particles) and scratches (sheep skin is much more delicate than cow's). I was extremely surprised. I called first and then came in a few days later. I told them I wanted a replacement jacket a few times because I am highly concerned more threading would come undone, and the manager pushed his agenda to have my jacket sent in for repairs (2-3 week wait), which according to the receipt i received would only cost them $25.00. I really did not feel comfortable with this, and because I refused to throw a fit or be rude to get my way, I was taken advantage of. I called the next day to express my concerns, and the manager said he would do his best to have it within a week. 1. they never told me about the no-refund policy or 6 month only warranty. 2. they never offered me protective spray or conditioner to take care of my high-maintanance jacket. I am scared that with only a month left in the winter season that this may occur again next winter and I will be stuck with a jacket that I have to continuously repair at my own cost. My warranty is until June, but that's useless to me because I won't wear this all-leather jacket past April 1.
