I tried Ruby's Express for the first (and last) time, and it was a total disappointment. I ordered their "new" chicken tenders -- got 3 sad little pieces that were basically all breading with barely any chicken inside. The fries? Cold, soggy, and tasted like they'd been sitting around all day. And for this, I paid $17.73. I wouldn't feed this to my worst enemy. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. read more

Here's the issues with Ruby's: Burger is too small and not a lot of flavor. The combo is $13 which is about $3 more than a combo at In&Out which is far better both the burger and the fries. Rubys burger you don't even get onions on the burger. Ruby's either needs to drop their price for the combo to $10 or make a better/slightly larger burger. Best would be a combination of both. Go $11 with a larger better tasting burger with the usual toppings. As it stands hard to go there and spend $53 for 3 combos when it's less than that for 4 combo meals at In&Out. And to add insult there computer asks you for a tip AND they put a tip jar out. For what? They aren't providing service where they bring the food to you, offer refills, and or clean up your table. 2 stars because the employees were nice but that's really it. read more

Yesterday we chose Ruby express in Anthem for a Sunday family treat! Well it was unfortunately a waist of 65$ the food was so incredibly salty it was inedible! Really sucks to waist money like that! Next time we will choose a different choice in the food court!!!! read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner while shopping with my kids. 2 stars is for the food, not the service, which was fast and friendly, and food came out very quickly. I'd give 5 stars for the service!! We ordered 2 burger combos, and a chicken sandwich. The burgers were soooooo tiny! Like really tiny!! Maybe 1/8 lb burgers, at best. The chicken breast was also teeny tiny. While the flavor of the meats were good, the portions were so ridiculously small that we won't be back. Plus the fries tasted like ones that you'd bake in an oven at home. read more

My daughter just tried to place an order for some onion rings and she was told that they close in 40 minutes so they are no longer taking orders. So exactly what does it mean to be open? That people are allowed inside? Maybe your posted hours should reflect the kitchen closing time, like at a bar. We used to live in San Diego and frequently went to Ruby's. Never realized it took 40 minutes for an order of onion rings. They better be the most amazing onion rings in existence. Although, I can make onion rings, from scratch at home, in less time. We miss The full Ruby's Diner in AZ, but happy to have discovered this Ruby's Express. They don't have the full menu- miss the turkey burgers but the RubyBurger is great. Fries are amazing as well as the chicken strips- so moist and yummy! We had two great guys at the cashier today too. So the food was pretty descent. We sat at the counter and it was super sticky! We ordered shakes and some food. I have to say I was disappointed in the shakes. The taste was good however the cups are only about 3/4 full. It's fluffy and when you put your spoon in it. It just smashes down. At 4.00 each on the oreo fill it up. I am from Los Angeles but now live in AZ so this is not my first time to a Ruby's. I had the hickory burger and fries and it was equally great to the Los Angeles locations. The menu is a little more limited because it is a express location but that won't stop me from coming back. Holden in the front took my order, was very friendly and made sure everything was on point. I made a very large order that included the $12 chicken strip basket. I asked for honey mustard dipping sauce for the strips and was told it's extra. I asked if one came with the basket and was rudely told no. The manager aggressively yelled that all sauces are extra and sarcastically asked if I still wanted them. Not going back. Plus, the strips were overcooked and the fries had no salt on them. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

The food is really good here but the customer service really really sucks here, I stood infront of the counter for about 4-6 minutes waiting for the reddish/ginger hair girl to pay attention to her customer it was visible that she had airpods on as well as being on her phone. When she approched us after having to shout to her she was short and she seemed unhappy about having to take an order that was jus 1 item. I've been to different Ruby's locations before and always like them, but whatever they did to those burgers at the Anthem location was phenomenal! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was so good that after I finished, I had to go back and order another one. So delicious and only 3 bucks. Shout out to Luke and Ruben. Located in the Food Court at the Anthem Outlets Mall at I-17 and Anthem Way. Ruby's is one of a small number of fast food options at the food court... My recommendation is to find a different option. The burger I had was obviously cooked well before I ordered it - as was the bacon with which it was adorned. Ruby's burgers appear to be well below Smashburger and In and Out Burger in quality and taste; It's closer to Jack in the Box and McDonald's. The soft drink was small and inadequate to wash down the overcooked and dry burger I was served. The meal my wife and I had was overpriced and forgettable. There are much better places to eat... and I will not be returning to Ruby's. read more

A total fail for Ruby's! Ordered $50 worth of food through Door Dash with special instructions for one burger, no sauce. They couldn't get that simple task right! Saturated with sauce and cold fries, the entire $9.50 meal had to be tossed! Then, bit into the Guac Burger and it was RAW! I had to toss that $9.50 meal too! Called the restaurant, they admitted they SAW INSTRUCTIONS and ignored them and they wanted me to PICK UP new food. I called Door Dash because I could not pick up the order! Three different people talked to me at Ruby's and not a one of them had a clue about how to take responsibility for their actions. Clearly these people need training in how to run a restaurant. Growing up, I used to eat at the Ruby's Diner on Balboa Pier all the time. When I found out that the outlet mall was not only going to put a burger place, but a Ruby's Diner, I was very excited. Stopped for a quick bite on our way out of town this evening after shopping at the outlets here in Anthem. The young girl at the counter was not one bit of friendly. Not a single smile on her face, not a "hello", not a single greeting. She just waited for us to approach her ourselves to order. Every remark from her was "Ok". That was the only response she gave us to anything we said while ordering. She made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I attempted to make eye contact and smile and she looked extremely unhappy to be working the counter. We asked for no sauce on the burger we ordered, no ruby sauce. When we made that request she stood there with her arms crossed and said "ok" but didn't touch her screen to modify anything from what we noticed and didn't tell the cooks behind her either. We hoped maybe she was going to notify then eventually some way. We get our food and sure enough there was sauce on the burger. While approaching her to tell her about the sauce on the burger she again just responded with "ok" and walked off with the burger. Within 1 min the burger was magically ready again and it was pretty obvious that the burger was wiped off, not remade. This was upsetting and disappointing. This was brought to the staffs attention and the girl tried to argue the fact stating "no I'm pretty sure it was remade".. we then just requested a refund because she tried to say the white sauce came from avocado which made zero sense as the avocado was clearly on the other side of the patty and avocado is green as we all know. She had no empathy and no customer service skills. This all resulted in requesting a refill and not once was an apology made. She walked off to laugh and smirk with the cooks in the back as if this was just a hilarious joke. Unfortunately didn't get her name but she was a thin dark haired girl who was actually really pretty but had a horrible personality in customer service. Was working about 5:30pm. I highly recommend a pep talk with her on customer service skills Or we won't be the only complaint she receives resulting in people leaving bad reviews like this. I have had an opportunity to speak with a shift supervisor with Ruby's Express and he addressed my concerns with real sincerity and an assurance that this has been discussed with team members. The Saturday I visited they were really busy, due to a huge mall event, and they were not at their best. He has asked me to give them a second chance, and based on his reaction to my concerns, we will try again. They do make a really good milkshake, and I did not get to try the fries, so I will visit mid-week. read more

My husband ordered a cheeseburger. I got a burrito from the Mexican place down the way. I received and finished my burrito before his burger was ready. when his order finally arrived, it was a meat patty on a bun. Just a meat patty on a bun. So he took it back to exchange it for the cheeseburger he ordered. Then he was served a meat patty with cheese on a bun. Nothing more. When he asked about the missing lettuce and tomato, as shown on the menu, the manager got defensive, insisted on refunding his money, and said he had to leave or she would call security.
