The always busy, always busling Ruby Niks is a small get- away at the core of Miranda's Westfield . Taking the extra step to immerse its customers in its modern yet rustic vibes . The cafe show boats its wooden tables and shelving , covered in climbing greenery and cracked pottery. You'll usually find yourself waiting for a seat or food if you head in at lunch time, but don't fret the wait staff although sometimes delayed are incredibly polite and apologetic. These wonderful waiters are extremely attentive to your order, which today was a Steak Sandwich, the Lamb & Pumpkin salad and a kids menu special; chicken popcorn. We grabbed our usual coffee order of a soy cappuccino and a latte , but both were on the weaker side .I just want to mention I was a little discouraged from getting something like the cheeseburger because it was just so over priced at $18.95 , so it made sense to go for the more bang for your buck steak sandwich which was unfortunately more buck then bang, a lack of sauce, a chewy steak, and
previously drowned lettuce led it to mediocrity , in comparison to the masterpiece salad that was delivered. Infused with pumpkin, the zesty yet tender lamb melted in your mouth as it disproved claims that salads are boring . As for the kids meal well it was as expected, a little cold , deep fried and needed to be lathered in sauce to get through .
An average meal that's a nice option if you want to go to something more then just another cafe in another shopping centre . read more
