With a couple of seats inside, most of the dining space is alfresco, so you can bring your favourite furry friend with you. Coffee here is good, they use Reformatory coffee lab for the bean. We've had a number of coffees here and find it to be very consistent. We also feel that the menu is very approachable with everyone's Eggs Benny, Shakshuka, hotcakes, salads and sandwiches to name a few. Being winter, I was Straight into ordering a porridge. It is probably the best I've tried this season. The porridge is a hugely generous serving, made on oat milk with cinnamon, vanilla and topped with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, poached peaches and some granola. I loved this and recommend you order it! They've also got some tasty little treats on the front counter that make a perfect accompaniment with your coffee. Service is efficient and friendly, all the makings of a good cafe.

Babel are very generous with their ingredients and the sourdough toast that came with it was perfectly crunchy and fluffy when it needed to be. The kitchen was loud as I sat inside and I waited approx. 10 mins for a table on a Saturday morning but it was well worth it.

They have their standard menu and then a reserve menu, where they brew specialty, rare coffees for you and have varieties for both black and milk based coffees. I wish more places had this reserve menu concept, it was very fun to peruse and pick. The only disadvantage was our waiter was kind of pretentious, and I appreciate it when specialty coffee shops have more open and welcoming people. But the baristas more than made up for that - they were patient, kind, and generous with explaining where the coffees were sourced from and the flavors we should taste, absolutely must go and I will be back.
