Went to Ruby Tuesdays with another couple. The men ordered endless soup and salad, my friend ordered the steak medium, mashed potatoes, and broccoli and a cup of soup. We waited a long time, but understand understaffing problems and were okay with it. A wait person (not ours) delivered a bowl of soup; nothing else. We asked about the others and were told it would be right out. My friend ate the bowl of soup as it was getting cold. The men didn't want the salad before the soup but finally went to the salad bar and got their salads. Our waitress stopped by and we asked about our meals and the other soups. She would check on it. 2 soups were shortly delivered. The men finished their meals; no waitress; no food. Finally my burger and tater tots came, hot burger and barely warm taters. Her meal came with well done steak, potatoes and no broccoli. She was told broc would be right out. I guess you're getting the picture. When they brought the bill she asked that the broccoli be taken off. Waitress said couldn't be done. Manager said she should have complained! Finally brought broc in a take out container and literally threw it on the table. No way do I want to go back. There are too many understaffed restaurants that want our business and are trying their hardest to make it work. read more

The manager and bartender were very accommodating. They went above and beyond when I ordered online a chicken avocado sandwich. We showed up and they were out of avocado. I just asked for a price adjustment and the manager took care of the bill. Very pleased with the customer service. read more

Attempted to go here while visit my family because generally they have consistent food. Stopped in at 4:40 PM to see about making a reservation for later. Despite the sign on the outside door saying " reservations welcome", the short haired older woman inside told me no; "that's like a call ahead". Okay whatever, I'll come back. I came back with my family- party of 6, one infant with high chair and a 4 year old. "Sorry no tables." She then proceeded to answered the phone- another person looking to make reservations or stop in. When she hung up, another woman with shoulder length hair came into the picture and attempted to find us a seat. I moved closer so as to see what all the fuss was, there was barely anyone inside eating. My kids were screaming, mind you and it was only 5 PM. The other woman was trying to help me but then this short haired older woman looked down at the table list, (I saw another reservation for 6 at 6 PM while I was waiting- we could've been out of there by then!); "sorry no tables and we can't put you anywhere else because of fire codes... And if we did have a seat for you, It would probably be in 30-40 minutes." I decided to just leave, it was clear this woman didn't want me or my family's business. She was short and rude. What an awful feeling and experience. Thankfully the Mexican place down the street was understanding and very helpful- I highly recommend them!!! Disappointed in the changes to the menu. Prices increased again, no longer serve or make biscuits, and Salad bar extra $1.99 if you choose salad bar as side. The salad bar used to be among the choices for side dishes at no extra charge. The Service was good and the food was warm. My Salmon had no flavor except for the Honey Bourbon sauce that was out on it. Either they have reduced the fish quality or it was overdone. Can't tell. read more

I can't believe these other reviews are about the Ruby Tuesday's in The Villages! We go there at least twice a month and have always gotten a great meal, friendly, competent servers, fresh salad bar. Right now they have a 3 course dinner for $13.99 , which includes salad bar, 3 choices of meal, and dessert. The salad bar was well stocked, and fresh. I got the Chicken Fresco, and my husband got the sirloin steak as entrees. My chicken was delicious and my husbands steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare, tender. No complaints. For dessert, he got the chocolate cake with ice cream, and Oreo cookies sprinkled on top. It was SO good!! I took my Key lime cake home, because we shared his dessert, which was enough for two.Our server was very nice, no complaints. I gave it 4 stars, because I save 5 star reviews for absolutely over the top reviews. read more

We dine here frequently at all hours on any day of the week and have fortunately never had Candice as a server prior to tonight. She was a dud, condescending, incompetent and threw both the kitchen staff and manager on duty under the bus verbally to us while dining blaming others for any problems. No drink refills, lied about the time of day of the specials, messed up the coupon and didn't bother to read it saying it was invalid, made things up as she went along (which we called her out on), served appetizer an hour after we arrived and 3 minutes later the entree was served and as mentioned, blamed others and slammed them, including the manager on duty who has previously been our server but visited our table trying to understand the coupon because Candace couldn't get it to work. She said she's worked there at this location FOREVER although we know all the staff and never saw her before. She said a menu item now called simply "chicken & broccoli" was called exactly that on the past menu (and we know it was a longer name than that and that she lied). The coupon she messed up 3 times and finally when she returned on the third time, brought a female manager on duty to the table and when the woman left said that SHE, the other woman, messed it all up and misunderstood making herself out to be the not-responsible party. We hope we never get her again. She belongs in another type of job because as a server, she's positively awful. I'm a secret/mystery shopper for several businesses and this was truly a pitiful dining experience from start to finish not even considering the awful wait time to get ANY food. She'd be getting the worst evaluation to corporate if this was an assignment to evaluate. read more

I should have heeded the warnings on Yelp. The service was not good. My companion ordered the steak well done and it was bloody inside. When we finally flagged down the waitress she ran to get the manager instead of taking it away back to the kitchen. Also drink refills were hard to come by. Had dinner at the location in Spanish Springs and the service was terrible! Waiter never offered another wine or mixed drink to any of the adults. Kids meal was brought before adult meals. Waiter said he gave bad service because one kid asked for his fries that should have come with his meal and he didn't like the way the kid asked. We apologized for the way he asked and he couldn't be the adult?? What the heck. That doesn't mean you continue bad service for the rest of the meal, does it. read more

Well when we first started living in the area 5 years ago we have seen this restaurant go from good to bad. My meal last evening was blackened tilapia they had a huge amount of blacking pored over the top right before bringing it to the table. There is no doubt I should have sent it back but they already made the wrong meal for me and I had to wait until they got that right. My Family of 3 had another bad service and food experience at Ruby Tuesday. After being seated at 7:20pm, we placed are orders. My brother and I went to new salad bar while our mom waited for our meals. Not until a little over and hour later did we receive our meals. First, the 2 burgers were very much under cooked - sent backed that took another 15 minutes. Second, 8:45pm my mom finally got her fish salmon meal with burnt zucchini slices. At the same, our server was replaced by two different servers. We requested the attendance of the Manager - Jack to handle the situation and to our surprise he did not step up or follow thorough. First let me say that I frequent Ruby Tuesdays in every city I visit because it is the only chain restaurant that has such a vast selection of choices on their salad bar. When our party of five arrived, we gave our name and found a seat in the lobby. The hostess was too busy to be cordial and several patrons noticed it as well. It was my first visit to The Villages location. We were seated in about 15 minutes, which was not bad. As a Vegan I enjoy a large salad bar, knowing I will have many choices that I can enjoy while my party can order their favorites from the menu. When I arrived at the salad bar I notices there were only a few plates left. As I looked down the bar it seemed very messy and unattended. Many of the selections were empty and items such as olives were in with the tomatoes, broccoli was scattered, etc. Apparently the person tending the salad bar had not been there for some time. The Vegan choices were very limited at this location. All salads had mayo in them, and way too many salad dressings. So my usually full plate of salad items, was extremely limited for me. I mentioned the condition of the salad bar and the fact that they did not have as many choices as other Ruby's and she said that they change things around all the time. Unfortunately I still had to pay the high price of the salad bar when I only had a side salad portion. I probably will not visit that location again. If the restaurant boasts 50 or so items on the salad bar, be sure that about 10-12 of them are salad dressings. I did not count the items, but they did not have that many for sure. I gave it two stars instead of one because our server was very nice, and we were able to get a large booth instead of a table. Having diet restrictions by choice or otherwise, makes it difficult because most chain restaurants do not take that into consideration. I could name several well known restaurants that cater to diet restricted patrons. Management makes an effort to have something prepared for them. Possibly in the future, I hope, there will be more people who follow a plant based diet. The other members of my party did not have salad bar, but enjoyed their menu choices very much. read more

Terrible customer service today. We come here all the time when we are in Florida and service is usually pretty good. We placed our order to go with the salad bar and we waited over an hour for the pasta salad. We left before the pasta salad actually got replenished because our to go order was already cold and we had to wait longer for the pasta salad because the noodles were not ready. You would think that on a Sunday lunch rush with the unlimited salad advertisement that the salad bar would have its items ready when low, but that's not the case. We asked for the manager because waiting over an hour for salad is just unacceptable and we were brushed off. If it wasn't my aunts favorite salad we wouldn't have waited as long. read more

We went out to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner last night with friends and the service was poor, drinks had no discernible liquor in them, steak was all sinew and impossible to cut, even with a steak knife! The little cheese rolls were so sadly lacking in flavor and kind of looked like little cow pies. Yucky! The fried shrimp were all breading with minimal discernible shrimp hiding in there. Mrs. Pauls are better! The salad bar was clean and well stocked on my first trip up there and had big empty bowls when I went back for seconds. Salad bar was my main course. Ordered chicken tenders and upon cutting into the chicken noticed it was very pink. Waitress took it back and re did the order. However, on their second try, there was still some pink in one of the tenders. I informed the waitress and told her that I was not about to eat any of the meal. Manager didn't charge me for the food but was going to charge me for the diet coke. He wasn't very apologetic when he came over to the table . I ended up not paying for the drink . I will never go back to this restaurant since I did not feel that management was the least concerned. read more

We have eaten here at this Ruby Tuesday's for five years. We enjoy our visits almost every time we go. It seems we get excellent food/service two in a row when we go but the third time we get just awful food/service. We are retired and eating out is something very special for my wife and I so each visit is looked upon as something to get excited about. Won't mention the day we ate there so people wont get in trouble. Our water person just could no keep our table on her mind bringing food items and beverages late or not at all. What is wrong with this place that most of the time we enjoy every part of the service but every third or fourth time its just awful? Down the street Ryan's or Panera service is 100% all the time. read more

You say it's a fifty item salad bar but when we got to the restaurant it was some of the same items with some toppers in little bowls. You just had ham as your main protein. Went last evening for dinner at 8pm( they close at 11). We have been many times, but last night was very different! We had just started our salad when our meal was delivered. It seemed poorly plated, like they were in a hurry? Just as we start to eat our entree, another server turns over all of the empty tables at the row of booths we were seated in. She proceeds to broom sweep the carpet at the booth behind us, then the booth beside us, sweeping dirt, old French fries, croutons and other nasty stuff to our feet! When we asked if she had to do that while we were eating our entree and she stated, "Unfortunately yes, I have to sweep before closing!" My husband and I asked to see the manager. She arrived, and we asked the same question! Does she have to sweep all of this crud st our feet while we are eating our entree. She stated, "Yes, most people don't mind(?) and if you are offended you should have called me over sooner and I could have done something about it"???
