First my husband orders the avocado burger she comes back 5 min later and says they are out of avocado and that was the last we saw her until the food came out... he then asked her for ketchup and she points at the bar and tells us it's there I guess she wanted us to do her job and get it for her. We have struggled with this location many times. We will not be back! Our server was not the most attentive, she took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer at that time. She brought our drinks and asked do you want me to come back AFTER your appetizer to take your dinner order? We told her no, we would be ready in a minute. We ordered, had our salad bar, and our dinner came. She did not come to check on us; just asked when the food was set down if everything was good. The food was mediocre at best...the oil that the shrimp was cooked in was old and it was very greasy as if it were not cooked at a high enough temperature. I had such a stomach-ache for hours after eating here. We had to find someone to bring our check. At one point and time, we needed water and we asked the host that was walking by; she was freaked out! She said I am in training and I don't know how to get water! We asked two other workers and about 10 minutes later we finally got some water. At no point, was there a manager that was walking around checking on tables. There was a table nearby that was speaking to their server and she said to the server: We always stop here when we are traveling and we always have terrible service. Great server today and great salad bar. I had the garden vegetable soup and salad bar. Soup done well and not over cooked. My friends had the seafood trio and chicken Fresca. The mini cheese biscuits are addicting. On Mother's Day at 12:45 we were promptly seated. I walked in around 12:00 noon today and the place was completely deserted, and now I know why. I waited around by the hostess stand for 5 minutes while several employees walked by but completely ingnored me. There were a few cars in the parking lot apparently waiting for pick up. Avoid this place, Just stopped here for dinner on my drive back home to Florida. We walked into the place and it took 5 minute for the hostess to come up to us and seat us. When we were seated 5 different servers walked past us and looked at us and did not say anything. Finally someone came over and apologized (half assed.) The server tried to just take our drink order but since we were siting there for a good 15 minutes we were ready to order our food. I ordered a burger and fries and the server brought out the burger first with out the fries then 10 minutes later. The food was not that great and the service was horrible. We stopped here on the way back from Hilton Head. We were seated promptly but things went downhill quickly. Our waitress was ok. The music was so loud I couldn't think. Our food took forever and was cold when it arrived. Took 10 min to get a drink refill of tea and never received a second beer for my girlfriend because the bar tender could not be found and then they found the keg was kicked. The management here should be fired. Don't stop here to eat. Avoid this place if you want good service. We had a party of 6. I signed up online prior to arriving for our Sunday lunch which said I would be entitled to a free appetizer. While the waiter listened to what I said and looked at my phone that showed I had registered, he said I had to show the email confirmation. He offered to let me talk to the manager. She showed no personality or customer service skills when she told me it had to have time to process. No other options were offered. BTW, 12 hours later, it has still not "processed". At any rate we all said that the food was not of the quality or price for us to return. Also, I pointed to the items on the lunch menu I wanted when I ordered. The waiter did not bother to show me the lunch menu was only for Monday thru Friday until I questioned the price on the bill. I had already given a generous tip by then. It was late at night on a Friday when we decided to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. We got there at 11:30 pm. We had horribly slow service didn't get our entrees until 12:25. They ran out of chips because they already cleaned the oven. And when we got the two Big Dipper samplers, they tasted and smelled horrible. Roanoke Rapids (at least what is presented within 2 miles of the highway) sucks. It smells like a swamp. Everything to eat is either a chain or a buffet. Pull up bars on Yelp and your first two choices are Applebee's and Ruby Tuesdays. I drove around looking for any other option, but nothing else was to be found. So I settled. Then when we got our food, our chicken tenders looked and smelled like they had been fried in burnt grease. When we mentioned it to the waitress she said she would bring us some more. There aren't many places left to eat in this dying town. We stopped in as a meeting place for a birthday dinner (we live in different states). The dining room was all but empty since we were there at an off hour. We were seated in a reasonable time and everyone seemed friendly. Our server was enthusiastic and attentive. The food was ok, I got the Asian ribs, they were definitely boiled (a serious no-no for well prepared ribs) not an ounce of real smoke flavor (a Ruby Tuesday rep should come to my house and learn how its done!) And they didn't have much Asian type flavor, I'm guessing they just take the normal ribs and put seasoning on them. I also got some shrimp to go with the ribs, they were ok but nothing special. The mashed potatoes were not edible. Everybody else in my party didn't really have any complaints. They do need to buy some new furniture, the booths apparently need some forcefully handling to get back together and weren't done right when we got there, after we moved to a table my first chair was falling apart, the second chair was worn out but it kept me off the floor. Overall it wasn't a bad experience and we may come back if we're ever in the area again, but I do think it was below the Ruby Tuesday standard. read more

It came with the wrong cheese on it, under cooked for how I ordered it and the fries probably had a pound of salt on them....inedible. I ordered quesidillas which were very dry and since they DID NOT HAVE SALSA I had no choice but to deal with it. They forgot one if my husbands sides. A friend ordered a chicken sandwich and could hardly find the ONE SMALL CHICKEN FINGER on it, the salad bar was dirty along with the few plates there. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a bite after driving for 8 hours. The food was fine, nothing special, but the service was where the real issue was. We arrived after the dinner rush and the place was mostly empty. We still had to wait upwards of 7 minutes for them to clear a table for us (because no one was bussing tables). No one greeted us for another 5 minutes after we were seated, but once we got some attention it was a little better. Still, they got the table behind us's order wrong (twice, I might add), and two tables near us sat unbussed for a majority of the meal. In fact, as I'm writing this, one of the tables still hasn't been cleaned, despite the staff walking passed it many times during a quiet time of the evening. Really, the issue lies with the manager; the staff need to all have a meeting to be told how to keep a restaurant rolling, especially during non-peak hours. I'm giving it 2 stars because the food was fine, but I really give it one for the service. read more
