This might be the cleanest Chick-fil-a I've ever been in. Even the parking lot was clean! Didn't see a lick of trash. The employees we interacted with were welcoming. The food came out fast and pipping hot. Pretty massive chicken sandwich too! They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I noticed many families eating inside and several signs for local events. Seems like the owner cares about being a member of the community, which I think we forget restaurants used to do. This would be my go to fast food if we lived here. I'm an optimistic person, but that can all change within a snap of the fingers. I was already looking at lowering my review a little, claiming that this Chick-fil-A was not once what it used to be. What sealed that deal of an one star review for me and IMMEDIATE writing was after receiving a piece of discarded GUM in my Chicken Sandwich! Luckily for me (and them) it was in a wrapper and not within the sandwich (just the wrapper of the sandwich). I was so shocked that I asked everyone in the car if they were pranking me. I knew it was a sign after receiving an underdone biscuit! I threw the biscuit away immediately and they are SO LUCKY I am on the highway and out of Roanoke Rapids! Being a Christian Business and all, I have to believe that God is NOT happy with them (especially in light of recent of events). I sure know that I will never stop again at this Roanoke Rapids Chick-fil-A and will be sure to never recommend this place to others. As of now this CFA lost a guaranteed $80 per week. Never in my life did I think I'd have to ever rate a CFA below a 5. Hubs and I are pretty forgiving people... him especially. However, towards the end of this order he was almost having to hold me back from yelling out the window with my choice words bc of how pissed I was. We are from out of town and wanted to wait for CFA while on our drive... literally skipped many exits and waited 45 more minutes to drive to the CFA specifically to have it. It was worth it in our minds and absolutely nbd. Ordering process was fine but we didn't pay in the beginning like our other CFAs we've been to. Not a problem... we go with the flow. She says we pay ahead. When we get to the window they say we have to pull ahead. Hubs and I are confused but we do as told and assume that's how they do things. Maybe they use their little handheld thing to pay when they bring food... they literally had two other cars ahead of us parked and blocking us anyway from the window so it made sense. A younger blonde girl screamed out my name and said "YoU dIdNt PaY?!!? WHy dIdNt yOu PaY?!" In a very accusatory voice. It set me the heck off. Her face. The tone. I'm livid. I'm sorry but get your facts straight, learn how to run a proper process and teach your employees some actual manners before setting them loose in your line. Here. I'll solve the problem for you. DON'T push customers 2-3 car lengths ahead of the window. One? Maybe. Not that far ahead though because you start blocking too many people who get their orders. Definitely not the outer lane. It's ignorant business practice. Don't let little children with attitudes outside who don't know how to keep their little traps shut. Train them inside first on the inside for a LONG TIME with a lesson in not jumping to conclusions (and maybe better memory exercises about what they literally just did like sending a car ahead without taking payment). There was ONE young lady that saved the day. Swooped in knowing blondie messed up. She helped us after that and continued with the great, CFA customer service we all know and love. This is a great CFA and the people are always nice and outgoing! Sometimes it can get super busy and there may be a wait and thats usually around lunch time or dinner time but staff is accommodating! Food is usually pretty good and if there are any problems staff will fix them right away. Inside, staff will check on you frequently which is a bonus. read more

Never have I ever had a bad experience at a Chick-fil-a till today. Also, have never seen one without a line around the corner... till today as well. Not many cars in line at all maybe 6 at the time I entered. 16 min wait to get my food. And when I did it was so disappointing. The fries were both stale and soggy at the same time. Also, there were only 5 of them and some crumbs. My drink was 3 quarters ice. Not half the cup 3 quarters 4 sips and I was out of liquid. I only give 2 stars because they gave me extra sauces. If it weren't for Zyquarius (spelt the best I could) providing me with extremely polite service, this Chick-fil-A would get one star. I walked to the register and the manager says she'd be right with me, then confirmed a young girl was working the register. The young girl and the manager continued to do other tasks while I waited, blatantly ignoring me. Luckily Zyquarius came over and took my order very kindly. He wanted to wash his hands before accepting my cash and asked the young girl (who's register was signed on) to handle the transaction as she rudely said no. After a long day of traveling I was not interested in going into a restaurant and sitting down. And there aren't too many delivery options in this town. So I search the internet from my hotel and found the Chick-fil-A nearby. Chick-fil-A is a gold standard. I know their product, I trust their product, it's fairly consistent from store to store. I was actually somewhat excited about going to get some chicken nuggets. I thoroughly enjoyed my last few experiences when I ordered nuggets at other Chick-fil-A. Tonight I was disappointed. I ordered two dozen nuggets from the drive-through. The order was filled in a fairly quick time and I was on my way. My hotel was only a couple of blocks away. So back to the hotel I went. Upon first glance in my hotel room I thought these nuggets looked smaller than what I am accustomed to. Then I bit into one. It was dry. Not what I was anticipating. There must be a standard of how long these things can survive outside of the fryer. Tonight apparently they forgot about that standard. As I am not a local to the area I will not approach the restaurant. I have no desire to return. I was tired and wanted something quick and easy. Apparently I got something small and queasy. Driving home, it was starting to get late and we wanted to grab a quick bite. CFA sounded good to us all. I've been to this location for breakfast several times so I knew where it was. It is a little off the path as you have to traverse around to get to it although it is clearly visible from I95. Since we'd been driving for a while, we opted to eat in the restaurant and to stretch our legs. The line was short and we ordered our dinner and waited. And waited. And waited. This was probably the longest I ever waited at a CFA. My spicy chicken was warm, but not hot. My wife's chicken was hot as were my son's nuggets. The waffle fries were warm. So I guess we waited for them to cook up a fresh chicken sandwich. This was a poor CFA experience but it still beats a lot of the competition. read more

I love Chick-Fil-A. They have great customer service and are so expedient. Unfortunately, that is not the case at this location. While the employees were very friendly, it appears to be mismanaged as this is by far the slowest and most chaotic one I've ever been to. If not for knowing how good the chain actually is, this location would turn me away from the chain altogether. I visited today (Saturday, August 10) on a road trip with my family. We have dogs with us so we have no option but to get our food to go. When I walked in the restaurant, I saw the line to order and decided it would be ok to still wait knowing how efficient CFA is. It only took about 15 minutes in line to place my order. It was to go so then I then had to go on the side and wait. I then waited... waited... and waited... 30 minutes later I finally had my order. The problem was so many mobile orders. They should've went to walk-ins only. You think you only have one wait, but then realize that those actually waiting for food is tripled. One lady next to me was given her ice cream 15-20 minutes before her order. When she finally finally received her food, the ice cream had melted all over her hand. However after receiving my food from this locations drive-thru I was very motivated to share my rare poor experience. The fries were soft and mushy, not a single one was crunchy. A ketchup packet had opened up inside the bag as well. It was a real mess. The only redeeming factor was the original sandwich. I stop here around twice a year going down from VA to NC. They don't have that good ice (crush ice), which is always a disappointment! Everyone is friendly, as it is a CFA, but this last time I went, I had cheese on my sandwich, which I did not order. It ruined the sandwich, and the tag on top of the box even said "no cheese." I was already back on 95 when I opened it, so I didn't go back, although they would have certainly fixed it had I gone back. The line was so long to get in the parking lot, as well. This CFA location is fantastic. I got my food LESS THAN A MINUTE after ordering. As I was putting my money inside of my wallet, my bag of food was already waiting for me. On top of that, the cashier was extremely kind and attentive towards me. Members of the Chick-fil-a staff are always so polite and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious as well. Their nuggets, chicken sandwiches, fries, salads, and wraps are all so tasty. Don't even get me started on that Chick-fil-a sauce... it's to die for. Arrived at this location for the first time while road tripping on 12/29/23 and placed on online order and went inside to pick it up. When my husband went inside a gentlemen behind the counter forgot to give us our drinks. When my husband asked for our drinks and told him what we were missing he continued to stock sauces and told my husband he will get them. My husband then asked 3 more times and a manager even came up and asked him to please get us our drinks and he did not. Other worker ended up getting our drinks after we waited for 10+ minutes. On our road trip back home on 1/8/24 we decided to stop and give the restaurant another chance. Placed a pick up order and when arrived they said they did not have an order but payment was pending on the app. Manager said the order was canceled when on our end it was not. She then stated we could try to place another order again. Placed ANOTHER order online and went inside to pick up once again and was told they have no order on their end but proceeded to read me what I ordered but tell me the order was cancelled. I literally never review anything but I actually felt the need to come on here and say something about my experience with this Chik Fil a. Anytime I'm out of town, I wait for an exit with a Chik Fil a before I stop simply because I know the food is always consistent and the facilities are always clean. This one was opposite! The bathrooms were overflowing with trash and filth, the staff was not friendly, my nuggets were not close to being fresh, and the floors were super sticky in the dining room. Oh and the traffic situation was terrible in the parking lot. The Chik Fila's in my area are twice as busy and there is never an issue with getting through the parking lot. Do better. read more

Both my daughters worked for Chick-fil-A in our area of Summerville, SC and earned scholarship through their scholarship program. I know what to expect from Chick-fil-A service especially when engaging with the employees. I neither got a thank you, have a nice day, or my pleasure. All I got was drive up to the next person and she will take your payment. From there I got told to stay in my lane drive around to get your food. Those were their exact words. No "ma'am will you please drive forward " and no words of politeness. In fact they looked as if they really hated their job, no smiles just miserable. I will say that the Chick-fil-A in my area is the best and their employees are always a pleasure to engage with. I guess that is why Summerville's establishment is one of the best in the southeast and one of the busiest. This Chick-fil-A has very low standards for employees as demonstrated by the unpleasantness and lack of enjoyment for the job!! There drive through also lack organization.
