Heading to New London to catch the ferry to Orient Point after a couple of days in Maine on business. Could only get a 7:00 PM reservation for the ferry so we stopped here for dinner. So we're from Long Island where most Ruby Tuesday Restaurants have closed down so it was a treat to find this one operating. My business associate have a burger. Seems like that's the only thing he eats but whatever. I had the New Orleans Seafood. Highlighted as a "New" item on their menu so I had to try it. Came with a salad bar and one side. I'm not big on salad bars but this one was excellent. In fact, you could make a full meal out of this salad bar. So my meal was pretty good, and my associate said his burger was also good. We were in a hurry because I didn't want to take a chance on missing the ferry so I asked for the check ASAP. Showed up in minutes after asking which I appreciated. First off how does a restaurant like this run out of mozzarella sticks? Second, when you serve food it should be hot, not cold (mashed taters).....service was a little slow for it not being busy, and we had to get our own salt and pepper shakers from another table......the drinks tasted great and the rest of the food was good......will I go back? Came with my son in law for a salad and baked potato but was a disappointed with the salad bar as it was missing so many items we wanted. Then I got my potato only to see they put sour cream on it as I specifically asked not to. We went to get more salad and had to ask got them to please replenish it so we could get another salad and they did. They also got me another baked potato. I am so upset. This place went downhill like an avalanche. Allll me and my friend wanted was salad bar. When we got there, there was basically nothing left and one plate available so we asked them to stock up the salad bar. They said ok. But a while went by and it wasn't restocked so I asked again and they said no one was available for the salad bar. Which is ok! But dont have it on the menu and available if no one can actually fill it. The lettuce was wilted and so much of it was almost empty. I feel bad for the waitresses having to deal with it. I tried being sympathetic because it's not their fault it's low staffed. I also felt like the portions were small for the tots and there was no sanitizer in the dispenser. Walked in and was seated. No one ever came to our table. We waited almost 15 min no one ever came over to us. We left. Was during the day on a Monday. No busy at all. Last time before that i had a bar glass break in half as I lifted it do take a sip of my iced tea. Dumped all over me and the table. No one came over to offer help or clean up. Haven't been here for a while, and probably won't again for a while. First off, our waitress Samantha was fantastic, so it wasn't her fault that my loaded baked potato was 'loaded' with a big glob of un-melted butter on top of it. If it had melted in, that would have been fine. But the potato was barely warm, and it just sat there on top of the bacon bits until I removed it lest I swallow it (UGH!) And my ribs weren't the "fall off the bone" variety that they advertise. More like 'stick to the bone' as mine were. Also, there was a problem with the salad dressing servers at the salad bar. The problem being they're not labeled, and the few that are, as one other person complained about when we were there, were in the wrong dressing. However, my wife's tacos were excellent. Hmmmm. Haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday's in a long long time. Was excited because I used to love their Cheddar Bay biscuits. They don't have them anymore though. So that's sad. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Our table was sticky. We asked if it could be washed. A very nice hostess was quick to help out. We watched her wash and dry it. She left and we were dumbfounded that it was still sticky. I took my napkin and tried to clean it myself. Will post the pictures of my filthy napkin. I left the dirtied napkin at the edge of the table. Many employees passed by, miltiple times, and most definitely noticed the gross napkin, without a word. At one point, a box was requested for our appetizers. The box was brought over and placed on said napkin. Just not right. Please address how dirty your restaurant is! Maybe we should have left. What a disappointment! Friendly service and hostess are the only good qualities of this experience. The bathroom needed serious attention because people are slobs and cannot flush.... like, every stall. The food was slow: only a few tables in the restaurant, yet we waited 30 minutes after ordering to get fried chicken sliders and a chicken philly sandwich. There was almost nothing in the bread of the philly: a couple of thin slices of chicken, 4 pieces of jalapeno, maybe some bacon bits hidden in the "bourbon" sauce, and the onions were regular caramelized onions, far from crispy. I have gotten more food in a middle school cafeteria lunch. The two sliders had a tiny smear of mayo (not honey mustard) and one pickle each. Each plate had a small handful of not very satisfying french fries that got limp as they cooled. Hard to believe this unsatisfying meal cost $30. We won't return to Ruby Tuesdays any time soon. Have never been so disappointed in my life. We were seated in the bar area our waitress was definitely not a people person. We saw her to order our food , deliver our food and for our bill that's it never to check to see how we were doing. We got three meals a Brisket Sandwich- dry overcooked brisket my cheese was put on after my sandwich was cut and was unmelted and uncut, Chicken Tender - overcook to the point they couldn't be eaten fries were over cooked , Bacon Cheese Burger- asked for medium rare with no tomato received a well done burger with a juicy tomato. We are frequent visitors at Ruby's in Lisbon.We cannot say enough about our visits.We are always treated well, seated quickly, and served with a smile. The good thing about your go to restaurant is they really know you , inpaticular a certain waitress Viola, who goes out of her way for all of her guests . I also had the pleasure of meeting the new GM, Matt..such a positive influence he brings. He was even working at some maintenance replacing some blinds. On the rare occasions there's an issue, it is always taken care of and rectified. I understand people have a choice to wear they dine, and for our family we have a positive experience and thank you for Viola and the hard working team who sometimes are not appreciated. read more

Where do I start? My brother graduated and he chose this location to go for dinner afterwards. Well our waitress sat us down at the first table on the right by the window. She sat across at another table eating and reading a book. Multiple customers came in and waited for moments because she ignored them to read her book. I don't know about other Ruby Tuesdays but this one in Lisbon seems to be going down hill. I personally have had a couple negative visits there and spoke to a couple that I know, who have also been less than impressed with the same location. Both they and I had no problem with staff. Guess that should of clued us in. Started with the bone in buffalo wings app. They were good, but $12.99 for 8 pieces was a little steep. My wife ordered the Asiago bacon chicken. The menu described it as TWO chicken breasts, and she received one small piece of chicken, so no leftovers and it was $18.99! I ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye steak for $22.99 and told the waitress medium. I know she heard me because she read our entire order back to us to confirm..My steak arrived and was well done. Not a trace of pink. The quality of the cut was not too good and I doubt it was a 12 oz. I have had better prime ribs for less. I waited to tell the waitress but she never returned to check on us. So I ate it as cooked. One son had NEW fish and chips. We all agreed the 3 small strips he received looked more like fish sticks or chicken tenders. For $13.99 it was a disappointment. My other sons choice was the smokehouse burger for $12.99. This was the best value for the money, except he had onion rings instead of fries, and received 5 rings so if youre hungry opt for fries. I waitress was polite but never returned to ask how everything was. Later she dropped off the check without asking if we wanted desert. Total was $79 before tax and tip, good think we only get waters. I did report this to the corporate website. I will update this review if i hear back from them. Aside from the drugs being done in the parking lot, I was able to observe from my dining seat the individual wrapping the silverware. This was a gross experience to watch as I decided I don't need my silverware. No gloves scratched head after texting on her phone (we all know how gross are screens are) and proceeded to wrap silverware....that we use to put their food in our mouth. This place is a disgrace. First of all, I came in yesterday (which also happened to be the hottest day of the year.) For a drink, the cucumber cooler sounded perfect. The drink was also perfect, but the waitress seemed like she was rushing us and also taking forever. I got the BBQ Chicken Cobb salad. It was a spring mix salad you get from the grocery store with cheese, chicken, zucchini pickles (which,btw, aren't that special) and bacon. "If there's time to lean there's time to clean " This place used to be great. I just moved back to the area and when I went in it was really empty. For a place with staff that seemed so bored it was super dirty .. visible grease hand prints all over the wooden wall we sat by, the bar smells fermented and my flip flops were getting stuck to the tiled floor. At the salad bar I was looking for the carrot shavings and they just had whole baby carrots just sitting in a little bowl full of water?? as if people are looking to put drenched whole carrots on salad . There was even several table covers patched with tape which you don't usually see at chains unless they arnt doing to good anymore. I worked for many years in food service and I just don't understand how the management doesn't see it. I mean my food wasn't bad I had the peppercorn Asiago steak and my boyfriend had a grilled chicken dinner of some sort . We both thought the food was great at least and that as long as it's delicious I'm not going to give a crap about the cleaning and I barely write reviews. Well now my boyfriend had to call out of work sick this morning due to food poisoning symptoms and I can't help but wonder if there's a connection seeing how all he ate yesterday before rubys was cereal. If there's anything I could say to whoever runs this place is to try and go over how to be more productive with wasted time with staff. Maybe it's time for a meeting or some kind of boss to staff intervention ? You need to keep up with the basics of cleaning if you want the store to succeed. Split tasks and just make sure walls and windows are wiped down morning and night, wipe down those sticky menus with your sani washes every single morning, mop that tile floor EVERY night and it smells like there needs a better routine cleaning in that bar . This use to be my go to restaurant with my children after sports , school, etc. always great service and food consistently good. Stopped by for a quick lunch with my mother- food barely edible!! She ordered shrimp scampi and the oil was dripping off pasta- told waitress . She offered to have another dish made, but it took 45 mins for this dish with a handful of diners, no thank you. My mom said she'd just eat the shrimp. Waitress came back and said " I took the pasta off and only charged you for the shrimp " - ummm ok? So first off- the dish sucked and had she known you were still charging her 8.00 for 3 rubbery shrimp my mom would have said take the entire dish - it was that bad! Really?? I got the garlic parm wings and loaded potato- potato about size of my palm and the wings- over cooked and chewy. This all makes me sad- this was one of a few chain restaurants I loved. We were so surprised and sad to learn that our local Ruby's closed abruptly last year; we began visiting the Lisbon location, even though the drive is much longer. In doing so though, I found an old friend, Mark, which was a great bonus! We are always treated superbly when dining and were also recently accommodated for a party of 11 for a birthday dinner.
