We stopped in for the soup and salad bar lunch and were honestly surprised that there were not more people eating there. I'm a little surprised too by all of the negative reviews. I ordered the soup and salad bar, and both were just what I would expect from a Ruby Tuesday's - did not disappoint. I took my parents out to eat for my Dad's 83rd birthday. We went to Ruby Tuesday on Lucas St in Florence SC. I was VERY disappointed in the experience. The salad bar was about half the size it was at one time, (no crackers at all in the building) my dad ordered the 6 oz. ribeye. It was paper thin and so touch he could not eat it. The baked potato was smaller than my fist. No rolls or bread, what so ever. There was 4 of us and the bill was over $100.00. I don't mind paying for anything but I want to get what I pay for. Last restaurant on this street we hadn't been to, next door to Cracker Barrel. We came here previously on Fri night and was 45 min wait tonight it was immediate seating. Once you are inside dining area see there are quite a lot of tables. Ruby's has a stand alone salad bar that they offer for $11.99 by itself. I can tell you it isn't worth that price for the choices. Another option is add to entree for $4.99, this is better deal. My draft Blue Moon beer ordered tasted "old" and waitress replaced w Miller Lite bottle even though I said Mich Ultra. Little things like this bring ratings down IMO. Our food was decent although did take a while to be made. The Texcado which is just folded pita bread w cheese, oil, and chicken was good for $8.99. My wife has something w chicken said was good and her Hard Lemonade was strong. All this for $40, 35 if I hadn't added the salad. Overall pretty good meal. read more

Everything looked great when I first walked in, and I was seated pretty fast. When the hostess approached the table, I ordered a beer. Upon her return, she informed me that that particular beer tap wasn't working , so I ordered a different selection. Then she came back again and reported that the draft beer was broken. The ribeye quesadilla was cold and mushy and just disgusting. Went to the restaurant with 3 of my friends at 4:00 p.m. Was concerned because there was only one car in the parking lot. We went in anyway and nobody greeted us, nobody behind the bar and nobody in the restaurant. We looked at the salad bar and it was filthy. I am a food service manager by trade and have taken all the Serve Safe Courses and use to teach the food code, so I can say I don't know how this place passes a health inspection. My friend and I stopped here for dinner around 7:40 on a Tuesday night because it was one of only a couple sit-down spots on the way back to her house from a community center where we had attended an event. We walked in to a nearly empty restaurant--four occupied tables in the main restaurant and one person at the bar. We had to wait five minutes to get seated at a poorly wiped booth in the bar, then had to wait a good 15 minutes for the bartender, who called out to us from the bar to shout to her our orders. We each ordered an entree with a side plus the salad bar. We got up to get our salad, but the bar was empty of all lettuce. We had to inform two wait staff of that fact, and about 10 minutes later, the bartender finally brings a batch of iceberg lettuce to the bar, saying it was all they had. I made a salad (very mediocre--several other ingredients were either not fresh, missing, or running low, and RT is famous for its salad bar), but my friend switched her order to fries as her second side. The staff had to be reminded TWICE that she'd ordered fries, and we had literally paid the bill and waited 10-15 more minutes before they arrived (by then she'd asked for them to-go because we knew that taking them off the bill would take even longer at that point). My dinner (sliders and fries, because they were also out of tater tots) was both overcooked (sliders) and undercooked (fries). Also, the bartender handed us the unsplit bill (she never asked) on a portable credit card unit and simply left, leaving us to manage the rather buggy contraption with no assistance. There were two servers and the bartender juggling all of five in-house orders and two Door Dash orders until the last 15 or so minutes we were there (and we were there about 80 minutes because the service was so slow) and there was no urgency or organization in anything about their service. We live in the town where this place is, and we have eaten there before with few problems in the past, but we will NEVER go back there again. Unfortunately the kitchen earned this restaurant a 1 star. We have been sitting here for 10 mins after she said she was getting the check for us and has walked by 5 times since then. So when our food came out overcooked and incorrect, to say I'm not surprised is an understatement. Spinach and Artichoke dip app: good luck. Came out 2 minutes before our food did. Steak: overcooked. Rice: overcooked. Chicken dinner: the entirely wrong one. It's a good thing I don't have a mushroom allergy. Instead of getting the Chicken Fresco like I asked for, I got the Chicken Asiago. Which has mushrooms. A drink refill? Good luck. Our waiter was more worried about serving the other table instead of us. Ordered a hamburger with cheese and bacon to go. One of the worst burgers I've ever had. The burger was so overcooked. It was dry and crusty on the edges. There was one slice of tomato that was the size of a Roma tomato slice a tablespoon of shredded lettuce. No onion (which is listed as part of the burger) no Mayo no mustard. HORRIBLE. This place was a big disappointment. I was there the night of Sunday, July 10th. They were out of brisket and fries. Who runs out of fries????? Half the menu was based off brisket and fries. No silverware for my salad. I watched the lettuce turn brown before a nice person next to me, gave me their un used set. No one looked like they were in charge at this place.
