The only thing I enjoyed tonight was the edamame on the salad bar. Our server was pretty timid and very forgetful. It took multiple requests for water. Wait staff in abundance but very few customers. My husband had to get up and get ketchup from the wait station himself. One waiter was walking around eating. Another female was dramatically talking to another worker within earshot of the dining room patrons. Poor manager was sorry for a lot of reasons- I'm guessing the people who were hired? This is the worst Ruby Tuesday I've ever been to. Won't return. read more

My husband I ate here in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. It's a chain restaurant, which we don't go to often, but it is one of the few places I know of where you can go for just soup and a salad bar. Our waitress was courteous, prompt and accurate. We had the spinach artichoke dip to share and we both got the salad bar. The salad bar was well stocked and everything was fresh. There was enough variety on it to make going back for seconds worth it. My husband also had the broccoli cheese soup which wasn't his fav, but all in all we'll probably be back. read more

Let me start by saying we did not eat there on Sat. Dec. 16, 2017. We tried! We arrived at 7pm and were promptly seated. Then nothing, no one came for our order! No one acknowledged us at all. We watched as 3 different ladies came into our section to wait on or clean other tables. Nothing. After waiting 30 mins. we got up and left. No one questioned us as we were leaving. No one seemed to care. We will not return... It is a real shame people in Elizabeth City have to go Virginia to get a decent meal/service. read more

Traveled a distance to come to eat at this facility. The food was ok. Not great but not bad either. Unfortunately the service was not great. The restaurant was not busy. We ordered in a timely manner however 20 minutes later we had not been served (maybe 6 other tables were occupied). Having a view of the kitchen we could see our meal in the window and our server standing by doing nothing. This went on for almost 10 minutes. read more

Where do I start.... First, of all the server was very opinionated. Second, my food took about 30 minutes to come out. Third, I didn't get offered a discount. Fourth, I got charged an adult beverage for my son's drink that was a kids size. Because they were out of kids cups idk how this is my fault. When I brought that up to the server she said it's because he got rootbeer and I saved money on the refills. Then I asked if they charged for kids refills and she said sometimes. I've been here twice and both times they were out of food items, no crayons for the kids, the second time I asked specifically if they were out of anything, the server said they were out of one kind of beer and nothing else, 20 minutes after ordering the server finally said they were out of the ribs I ordered. It took almost an hour from sitting until we ate, my kids plate came out with hot grapes because it sat for so long under a heat lamp. It's a chain restaurant, so keep that in mind when dining out. However, the service was very good & the food was good. I had the salmon grilled w zucchini and broccoli along w the salad bar. The salad bar is old school in my opinion. Needs a revamp. My salmon was very good & the steamed veggies were an excellent accoutrement. The salmon was cooked perfectly w the correct amount of spice so as to not overwhelm the meal. I would go back just for this meal. But, leave off the salad & maybe opt for a dessert. Gave this restaurant high stars as we had 5 guys in our party who are sometimes difficult & waitress handled it well. No complaints from anyone & everyone at everything on their plate. read more

Both times we've come to this location, our experience has been horrible. Having to waiting 15-20 minutes for a drink order and over an hour for food. And when the food did come it was wrong. The second time we came, my elderly father ordered a steak. All he wanted was steak, no sides. After an hour of waiting, we were told the problem was that he had to order a side. Why did it take an hour to figure this out? The server was frustrated and rude both times especially the first time where the server cussed under his breath but loud enough for both of my young children to hear. To their credit, the orders that were messed up were taken off the bill. But we won't be dining here again. read more

Been here many times and I'm not usually impressed with thier food. This trip however was quite good. I got the half rack of ribs and they were very tender and tasty. The mashed potatoes were not like homemade but were OK. The sugar snap peas were very good. We had a delightul and very attentive waitress. I also tried a seasonal beer, the Sam Adams Octoberfest and it was pretty good. That's not a style I usually drink but it was better with food than a stand alone drink. read more

We went to Ruby Tuesday for Father's Day (my Father's Day). The food was fine (It is almost always good). The waitress, though... I believe she needs to seek new employment. She took our drink order and order at once. I did not at all mind spelling out Michelob Ultra for her... Trish ordered coffee...and we ordered dinner. We waited. We waited some more... our appetizers were delivered to the next booth down, who said no... and I waved them over... At this point, a DIFFERENT server asked about our drinks, and she brought the strawberry lemonade and the beer... but told Trish she had to brew coffee. We ate the appetizers. We waited. We waited. We waited some more. Finally, a long time later, our food showed up at the next booth (sound familiar?) It was cold. Trish still had no coffee... and the food guy, of course, could not take a drink order, but I SAW him tell our server, Kirstin, who waved her hands and went away. No one in that section was getting drinks. The food was going all over the place... then... finally... we decided to finish and leave ... still no coffee, and not a single time were we offered a refill or another drink. Finally a nice young man who I believe was a bus boy started going from table to table, took all the plates up.... Kirstin walked by, and we got our check... but of course, she never came back to get it. Then the people in the next booth asked for their check... they got another copy of OUR check... ALL of us, both booths, started wondering if we were on one of those TV shows where they punk people.... We paid, left a tip of $0.00... with a short note. I wish Kirstin no ill will, but she clearly had no idea what she was doing, took no responsibility for any of it... if I could have left the young man who helped us a tip, I would have. I ALWAYS tip... This was the exception... The one good thing is that (minus tip, dessert we didn't even consider, and the extra beer I would have ordered (plus the coffee) we saved more than $30... read more

I wish I would have checked yelp first because their salad bar is NOT very fresh like the other RT places I've visited. For example, there's a recall on Romaine lettuce and it's sitting there turning brown. The head lettuce is also turning brown. The artichoke is soaking in slimy liquid. Please people get it right or the health department will be visiting you soon. read more

first of all, our server was over extended. she was hospitable and tried to offer great service but the overall experience was horrible. we arrived in the early evening on sunday. it took about 30 minutes for my mom's tempura green beans to arrive...burned and clumped together like the grease was old. my fiance's steak never arrived with the meal. when we finished our meals, the steak still had not arrived. upon finishing our meal, we asked for 3 boxes, and received 2. it has been 15 minutes and the steak, the check and the 3rd box still is not here...ruby tuesday became my go to spot when applebee's started slacking. my advice is that ruby tuesdays and applebees need to close its doors. read more

I GOT FOOD POISONING! I got their chicken fingers and ribs with fries. I called in the order to go, waited 30 minutes for it, & got food poisoning. Food not great but bartender on Friday nights is top notch. Meet friends here often and only go when she is working.

The service was great by our server. The food, not so much. The chicken my daughter had was good but I got the steak and shrimp and it was bad. The steak was over cooked but I could live with that but the shrimp was old, smelly and very "fishy". you know the way shrimp does if it has been frozen, thawed and refroze. I said something to the server. not to get any thing just to warn and then I heard the manager fussing with here that it was not possible. Then he came to the table asked if I wanted a different kind of shrimp and I told him no that I think I had lost my taste for shrimp that night. He said that it was not possible or the shrimp to be old and waked away. Never said I am sorry or did anything. Nick is possibly the worse manager I have ever seen. read more

We went here for the first time a couple months ago and had the best service. We went again a couple evenings ago and had horrible service. We are a caucasian family that entered this restaurant where the majority of staff were African American. The host sat my husband and 3 young children. He gave them coloring pages and no crayons and then disappeared. My children continued to ask for crayons as we waited for the host to return. We were sitting right next to the host stand and front door. Finally, after 10 minutes of not seeing staff, my husband walked up to an African American waiter and asked him for crayons. He also asked him you our waiter was and he replied "I'm your waiter". Then, walked away without taking our drink order. I told my husband I wanted to leave but he insisted on staying because the kids were looking forward to what they ordered. We then saw our waiter about 5 minutes later return to our section to serve an African American couple their dessert and take their dirty plates. We were about 3 feet from that table. The waiter never acknowledged us and walked back to the kitchen. We continued to wait and then my husband finally got up. He walked by the kitchen and saw our waiter having a casual conversation with another staff member as if he had nothing else left to do. Another 5 minutes later, the host finally returned. My husband asked where our waiter was (after 20 minutes) and he replied "I'm not sure, let me go grab him." The waiter nor host returned within 5 minutes. We finally got up and left. It took us a few minutes to get the kids' coats on and no one tried to stop us leaving within the few minutes. I didn't even bother asking for the manager because there was obviously no management taking place. I ended up calling the corporate office and they are currently investigating. read more

The drive from my place is quite far so I was hoping it was gonna be worth it. The lemonade was a bit watered down so it was disappointing. Although the drink wasn't what I hoped it to be, they made it up with their satisfying entrées and there appetizers, especially their crab cakes. read more
